Not that it's in any way excusing her, but I wonder if she was similarly abused when young? Her father was, by all accounts, a revolting man.

I’ve heard this mess coined as a “social Ponzi scheme” Epstein was at the top and the people further down bought access / parties / loans / sex etc. she was part of that and understands the elite who were part of this scheme - “you scratch my back and I’ll help you get X job with JP Morgan and Y dinner with some PM in a Middle Eastern state or someone who can invest in a business or trade deal”. She grew up with the same in her father and knows the benefits of social capital and favors.

it’s smart of her to plead the 5th and then offer to spill it all for clemency. Given she is the only person in prison in this whole sorry saga she should hang them all out to dry……… whilst we watch governments and markets collapse at the magnitude of it all. 😩

IAmATorturedPoet · 09/02/2026 20:08

I’d do the same if I were in GM’s shoes.
20 years is a long time

That said, she’d probably be safer being in prison rather than out of it.

Guerlainade · 09/02/2026 20:35

I'd give her clemency but under the terms that if she didn't tell everything then she'd get a doubled sentence in the worst prison in the USA with no extra security or privileges

I hope she is safe so that she can finally sing like a canary. But Epstein and his ‘acquaintance’ Jean Luc Brunel weren’t safe in prison. Said Gaddafi wasn’t even safe - he was killed last week. Victims like Giuffre are dead (there are others).

My goodness, it has been pointed out that it has been 11 years, 1 month and 8 days since allegations about Andrew surfaced.

And today we have 'deeply concerned'. Yeah right.

But naughty C3 made 'em do it and ran away...

CathyorClaire · 09/02/2026 21:03

MidWayThruJanuary · 09/02/2026 18:11

So BP have said that KC3 expresses his ‘profound concerns’ over the allegations about AMW and will support the police in their investigations if approached.

Undoubtedly too late to facilitate unfettered police access to any potentially incriminating evidence sheltered at RL and he knows it.

Is he pressing for the TE records to be unsealed?

Doubt it. All there is so far is in relation to Epstein. As we know he had communications with all manner of dodgy people. Epstein is the tip of a sleazy iceberg. Can you imagine what he must have got up to in order to be sacked, and for his mother not to even be able to cover it up considering what she did manage to ignore?

I always believed she'd sing like a canary to get a plea deal and was surprised by her silence.

Looks like she's been biding her time.

I anticipate an early walk incoming.

That’s interesting because I have always believed (and still do) that she will never sing. I think Epstein had, and still does have, a hold over her even after death. A folie a deux

Maybe she wants a reduced sentence or maybe, given what’s been released this last couple of weeks, this is nothing more than a power move. Who knows, but I will be watching with interest.

I always thought she did a plea deal for lower years, to NOT sing like a canary.
Remember, when the US Prosecutor had all the evidence he needed on Epstein (to press many charges), he let him off with a slap on the wrist.

Back to Andrew, the king is willing to work with the police now - what does that mean exactly? releasing records from Andrews trade role? also why is this 10 years late?

AnnunciataM · 10/02/2026 10:32

Plus Charles is hardly a shining example when it comes to friendships with dodgy characters - Laurens van der Post, Peter Ball, Jimmy Savile. He got Jimmy Savile to come in and act as marriage counsellor to him and Diana, I mean WTAF? Even if he hadn't turned out to be the criminal he was, he was still a very strange man and a bachelor. What marriage guidance could he offer? Poor Diana.

I'd forgotten about the weird and awful characters courted by KC. Over the years the RF has employed some very astute PR professionals and we, the public, seem to have fallen for their creativity hook, line and sinker.

What's becoming clear is the façade seems to be crumbling and that those it shielded are as fallible as the man in the street. If recent events are anything to go by, I suspect the truth is darker than we know.

Yes, let's not forget that Camilla's transformation from hated other woman to almost national treasure status was also down to Charles hiring a very expensive PR man to run a very extensive PR campaign.

I don't think she'll spill anything because if Epstein is still alive, as some believe, she'll fear repercussions. He has long tentacles.

I think there is different levels of gullible amongst society, no one who I respect (for having any level of critical thinking) thinks that Camilla is anyone other than a horrible person. She cheated with Charles when he was married to Diana, then got in bed with those who run the UK media, did a deal where she got a complete rehabilitation, hers sons cocaine issues stopped being reported, and in exchange she shared all possible dirt on Harry (her new stepson!).

Most things in that family are just rumoured, but Harry explicity said:

“I had complex feelings about gaining a stepparent who, I believed, had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.”

Terrible woman. Back on topic though, she's nowhere near as bad as Andrew who should be in jail, and every day that he isn't will damage the RF even more.
The latest US files released are still being analysed and there will be further releases... plus there is the new US court case coming up.

bluegreygreen · 10/02/2026 17:07

I have no intention of defending KC3 or QC when it comes to relationships, but the idea of quoting Harry as a reliable source for anything is ... at least questionable.

'Whatever the cause, my memory is my memory, it does what it does, gathers and curates as it sees fit, and there’s just as much truth in what I remember and how I remember it as there is in so-called objective facts.'

ascenda · 10/02/2026 17:30

There's a picture above of Andrew in the front seat of a car driven by W with K in the back. I did a double take and thought A looked very like his late great uncle Louis Mountbatten around whom scandals swirled also. They are in this up to their necks IMV and it didn't start with Andrew either.

But my bet is that they will survive all this, and the money and assets they own will remain untouched, along with Sovereign grant and any other benefit you could think of. That just wouldn't do my dears and there are not enough people with the power to do anything to make a difference either, and they know this.

Lalgarh · 10/02/2026 17:52

The money and the assets is likely the key thing they are worried about people snooping on.

You do know that Diana had multiple affairs with men ( including married men) whilst still married to Charles ?
I tend to take anything Harry says with a HUGE pinch of salt !
Do you have evidence that Camilla dished the dirt on Harry to the media ? Links would be helpful .

Who could blame Diana when her husband was fucking his mistress before during and after their marriage. What was she supposed to do, don a wimple and become a celibate nun?

As for Harry, he is the only one in the RF that I have any time for. Yes he has his issues, don't we all, but he was the only one who got away from the toxic family in the UK, and he's all the better for it too.
