I do wish the book was thrown at the utter waste of space that is Andrew, but I have limited hope.

The elephant in the room is the government. Any real investigation into Andrew's activities means revelations about various government officials who either participated or looked the other way. And given that Andrew's elevation to trade envoy was strongly advocated for by Mandelson, I would be shocked if the Labour Party wants to open that can of worms as it will lead straight back to several of them. Many powerful men and some women want this to go away so their depraved behavior does not come to light.

IMHO, it is far more likely that the Labour government falls and Reform comes to power with the Labour-turned-Reform wing avoiding an extensive investigation that could inconvenience them or some of their key donors.

To quote Carlin "It's a big club...and you ain't in it."

I'm actually quite surprised MW hasn't fled the country to his promised palace in the ME as yet.

The net's closing albeit slowly and he may find a country with no extradition treaty a more comfortable place to be.

Why is he still here?

He might be waiting for W to come home first.

I am going to guess that his passport is locked away !
Also , KC possibly said that he would only financially supported him if he does as he is told ( for once).

Ukisgaslit · 12/02/2026 17:46

@Mylovelygreendress

Charles gave Andrew £1.5 million to avoid a court case .
They all knew Epstein was a convicted pedophile from 2008

Why are you avoiding the facts ?

The last few days have involved some of the most disturbing news in recent history and royalists are busy trying to protect the Windsors .

Ukisgaslit · 12/02/2026 17:51

Still no response from William ?
Hopefully there will be action not more empty words .

I hope we will not have a repeat of the last time a Windsor was referred to the charity commission . Although bags of cash is tame compared to the Earthshot donation.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 12/02/2026 17:52

Can I just check a couple of things please?

These two issues about the RF threatening staff about their pensions and Charles having chipped in to Andrew's payout to Virgina Giuffre ... are there any names attached to these revelations or is it "sources" again?

I am not avoiding facts . I have said many times over the years that AMW is an odious person however my post was in reply to someone who asked why he was still in this country .
Obviously I don’t know but I imagine that he is on a very tight leash and limited ( for him) funds.
I am hoping that he ends up in jail .

I agree.

I hope the Thames Valley investigation into AMW is rigorous and with the CPA looks at whether it is possible to prosecute.

Equally, I am frustrated that powerful men in successive governments have been at minimum lax, but more likely complicit, in the wrongdoing of AMW. There is no other reason that they should persistently refuse to take their responsibilities as the powerful partner in a constitutional monarchy seriously.

I am fed up with the excuse that the Royals can't be discussed in parliament. Anyone who reads the text of Erskine May knows that this is untrue; the government simply needs to allow parliamentary time for a proper motion.

simpsonthecat · 12/02/2026 17:59

I honestly think he will end up in the Middle East. He knows people there, he has already been offered a fully staffed place over there and most importantly, there is no extradition

As a commentator said, it is like King Juan Carlos of Spain. He had to abdicate and is seeing out his days there. He is in UAE

Ukisgaslit · 12/02/2026 17:59

@My2cents1975
You are doing what some royalists are also attempting . You can hardly defend Andrew anymore so you are putting him a bunker to try to keep the rest of the Windsors clean .

They all knew about Epstein .

It appears a group of them contributed to the payoff . That was news . We had been told differently until yesterday.

William now linked to Epstein re two charities.
I’m sure the charities are horrified .

I know this has been mentioned before, and some of us have already done it, but the more people who write to their MP' s about the release of the Trade Envoy files the better. Its all we can do. Its only once those in power realise that ultimately we can force their secrets out into the open, will they think twice before colluding or participating in wrongdoing.

Does anyone have the Republic UK link from yesterday please? It was on one of these threads?

Both come from Lownie in Entitled so they passed the lawyer’s check.

I believe The Sun has published details about AMW’s pay-off to VG but haven’t read it so don’t know how the two accounts compare.

Ukisgaslit · 12/02/2026 19:24

Does the news about Charles and others contributing to the payoff off come from Entitled @Thewolffromthedoor89 ? I really thought it was new information. It took some heat from William so I thought the leak could have come from that camp .

I saw a video of Andrew Lownie interviewed on Good morning Britain . He was not holding back .
So that’s two items ITV have reported on -Earth shot being referred to the charities Commision and now the Lownie interview

They are showing up the BBC .
I am not in the least surprised.

Yes. I have the page in the book open as
I type.

According to Lownie anyway;

AMW settled for just over £10 million mid-Feb 2022. £4 million and the rest paid in six-monthly instalments, “financed from the proceeds of his Verbier chalet sale and a bridging loan from Prince Charles.”

AMW also agreed to make a £2 million payment to charity on top and it is thought that was paid by the late Queen E2.

It also said Charles put pressure on AMW to “shut it down” rather than face a trial that would possibly produce fresh disclosures and overshadow the late Queen’s platinum jubilee and a service of Thanksgiving for the late Duke of E.

MidWayThruJanuary · 12/02/2026 19:50

I think the whole family is now so besmirched it is beyond saving.

Ukisgaslit · 12/02/2026 20:03

@Thewolffromthedoor89

Thank you for typing that out.
I have the audio book so I must miss bits .
So Lownie mentioned the bridging loan from Charles ( loan ? Andrew is not paying back is he?) but the additional detail of the amount from Charles and the £500000 from ‘others’
is new ?

So why were we told via the media that it was all from the queen ? I’m not blaming the media if that was the information they were given - but we just shrug and say another day another lie from the head of state?
We only know a fraction.

So we were lied to to protect Charles etc

Odd that they were doing ‘contributions’ it’s not as if they don’t have billions hoarded . My first thought is they did that to ‘incriminate’ each other but maybe I’ve been looking at the Windsors for too long .

bluegreygreen · 12/02/2026 20:10

So why were we told via the media that it was all from the queen ?

The report I linked to above from Feb 2022 said she would 'partly fund the settlement'.

Ukisgaslit · 12/02/2026 20:11

‘Partly fund’ had the implication that Andrew was making up the rest from the sale of the ski chalet . Did he?
Were we told at that time who else was chipping to keep Andrew from the courtroom

MidWayThruJanuary · 12/02/2026 20:12

Why did they not come out at the time and say straight out where the money was coming from? Fucking idiots - did they really think that would be the end of it? They are not fit to run anything, never mind a Commonwealth!

ascenda · 12/02/2026 20:13

They will have necks like concrete if they are not totally ashamed, embarrassed and mortified to appear in public "working" for their millions after this.

But I reckon they will brazen it out in the hope that enough exposure will inure us to their carry on.

What school will George go to, oh look at Kate's new dress, OMG, Charlotte is getting so grown up, nature is wonderful, look at the dappled sunlight through the trees as I run my hands through a babbling brook, Kate is doing well, but look at her hair, what colour is it now. Holidays in June to ? here's what they pack,

But maybe the hatches will be battened down, and all work will be remote on zoom just like during Covid when we didn't miss them for a minute and they did F all. They still got paid handsomely though!

Sorry I'm just rambling here. Punch drunk I think.

Ukisgaslit · 12/02/2026 20:17

Yes ! Punch drunk is right . So much new information coming to light much of it revolting .

I was just thinking Norman Baker walked so Andrew Lownie could run .

I don’t think that is new info though is it? I feel like I have heard that from other sources and well before Lownie’s book was published.

I don’t think it was ever officially confirmed that the Queen had settled for the full amount. It was assumed that she had being that Andrew was supposed to be her favourite child.

My first thought is they did that to ‘incriminate’ each other but maybe I’ve been looking at the Windsors for too long

@Ukisgaslit I think you are getting carried away here!
