The royal family

Time to either prosecute Andrew or forget him.

Firstly let me say I am in NO way defending him; hes clearly completely awful in so many ways. Finally stripped of all titles and position, and dumped over in Norfolk, but still not charged with or found guilty of any crime.

But it’s starting to feel like he’s being tried by the press now to sell stories. Isn’t there enough evidence to prosecute? Is there a cover up? Or can we just leave him to himself now? It’s news headlines endlessly…

Mandelson in the other hand is another matter..

Old boys network I suspect.

TLQ exempted herself from Race Relations and sex discrimination legislation ( carried on through to the Equality Act) so she could have these kinds of people surrounding her.

William has been asked by a reporter in Saudi Arabia " to what extent do you think the Royal Family has done enough around the Andrew and Epstein scandal?"

He didn't reply.

Surprise ,surprise.

simpsonthecat · 10/02/2026 12:55

The royals will be so pissed off with all of this. William would've wanted positive press on his middle east visit. And hasn't Charles released some sort of King's Vision on Amazon. Guardian says some of Charles's ideas are 'strangely trippy'. It sounds very woo. He will be so fed up it's barely noticed in the press - it's all about his brother.

He should have got his ' crisis manager' to write out a flashcard for him because clearly none of them can think of anything to say on their own.

‘we are not a racist family’

Very true - and that was unscripted and off the cuff. Why can't he do the same now?

I don't think mob rule is democracy.

It isn’t but pressure from journalists and social media and the ordinary man and woman in the street is bound to proliferate when MPs, the government, and most of all, the Royal Family, don’t do their jobs properly and maintain high standards of probity.

The general public know whether something is fair or not, and it’s totally unfair that AMW is allowed to get away with:

~potential malfeasance in office,
~alleged fraud
~alleged involvement in trafficking of vulnerable young women,
~alleged endangerment of national security

when an ordinary member of the public would be arrested for the same suspected misdemeanours.

The general public are becoming aware that it’s one rule for the royals and other elites and another rule entirely for the ordinary person and they don’t like it.

That’s not mob rule. That’s the common people seeking justice.

BlakeCarrington · 10/02/2026 13:09

Absolutely agree @Readythiswayplease

RainbowBagels · 10/02/2026 13:09

Yes @Readythiswayplease . Good on all those plebs holding the powerful to account. Some people would rather live in feudal times forelock tugging their betters in return for a chance to curtsey to Kate.

Emotionalsupporttissue · 10/02/2026 13:13

I wonder if William is furiously WhatsApping his dad telling him to do something about his bloody brother.

Possibly but only now hes being challenged on it. Even he can see that its not a problem that can be resolved by a video of Kate sitting on a log or chatting about what a cheeky chappie Louis is ( one would hope anyway!)

He made a statement yesterday so he probably thought why are they asking again? Without thinking it through, which really they all should be realising this isn’t going to go away.

It seems to be a seedy network at the top.

Yes, we should really be put in our place. Now that the Starmer situation has settled down, I hope Andrew gets top billing on our news.

Do you remember the man in Bristol who the mob knew was responsible for killing the woman who rented a flat from him because he was weird except it wasn't him at all. I'd rather trust the police than a mob.

Edited

How do you know what he's said to his dad and when?

I know this very well. There was no mob with that. It was appalling police handling and disgusting media reporting.
There is a documentary on Netflix about it.

I want the sealed records from his decade as UK Trade Envoy to be unsealed. I want to know about his visits to Libya and other places. I want to know who knew what about what he was doing. And if that goes all the way to TLQ then so be it.

This unseal the records - immediately

The public had decided he was guilty. Happens in lots of cases I was watching a netflix documentary about Elizabeth Smart, police thought the dad did it and people agreed, then it was the uncle. It wasn't anyone in the family. Let the police do their job. Now they have access to the emails the Americans have hidden they can do it without our help.

Ukisgaslit · 10/02/2026 15:07

@TheignT

The fact is , it’s exactly because Andrew’s records have been sealed while Mandelsons house is being searched , that people are angry.

The fact also is the Windsors knew for years that Epstein was a convicted pedophile but they only finally did something once they knew it would be public .

All we’ve had are pay offs, denials , ‘nothing to see here’ an empty statements.

A proper investigation is what we want . Will we get it is the question.

The public were fed stories that the man was guilty. It was a trial by media.

I wish the police would do their job. The Met decided not to pursue investigations or have effectively dismissed potential charges related to the Jeffrey Epstein case on multiple occasions between 2016 and 2022

BemusedAmerican · 10/02/2026 15:15

Unfortunately for William, if he told the reporter that for years he has been complaining that Andrew was scum but the current reigning monarch at the time told him to shut up, then he'd get criticized for over speaking and for not getting along with his father.

Epstein, from the grave, is doing a great job of destabilizing both the US and the UK. Although the idiots who voted for Trump have definitely helped with the US.

Yes the media were guilty but are you saying it wasn't lapped up by the public?

I think Thomas More's speech in Man for all Seasons sums up perfectly why we need the rule of law.
