How about some chocolate with dried flowers on ? I think this is the first time I've actually seen the chocolate itself. As a choc lover I don't think I would like the taste of the flowers in my mouth. I've eaten lavender chocolate but that's not got dried lavender in it. Wasn't this the one Harry chose- the white one? I'm very much an opposing texture person when eating but I can't imagine what this is like.

Edited

Oh my God. I mean, it looks pretty, don't get me wrong, but there's no way I would actually want to eat it.

There's a reason why chocolate manufacturers don't generally make stuff like this.

I think this is the way it will go.

KC3 will choose to be the fall guy for the institution’s (ie QE2’s) complicit / enabling / facilitating / blind eye approach to AMW’s abhorrent behaviour on tax payers money - he will ‘fall on his sword’ to save the monarchy and pass it to PW. I expect as both the King and Queen are almost 80 and neither in the best of health they will secretly be delighted.

Then there is enough clear blue water between AMW and PW…..unless any investigations and transparency shows the whole lot of them were covering up for AMW and they all had equally shady dealings going on.

Some lovely ideas there, Atlanti, but I can't help thinking "If only*, especially as the RF use staff as fall guys rather than themselves

My own expectation is that they'll go right on doing the minimum they think they can get away with, accompanied by a blast of PR to make it sound more than it is, in the hope people will eventually move on ... and the worst thing is that it may well work

Does it look pretty? To me it looks like you dropped your toast and it landed butter side down on some skanky carpet.

Has anyone seen the Competed Works (Jewellery Company) London Fashion Week Skit. It shows an American business woman actress and influencer, thrice married filming a show very like With Love Meghan. I think the character is called something like Regina McQueen. In between the guests (very dear friends) complementing her on her jewellery they have some very funny moments. One was making a Bloody Mary when she takes the tomato juice and says this is from concentrate but you can get it from anywhere. Also meeting her very good friend to do some flower arranging and saying “you’re tall”.

This article, which shows the latest As ever article….has had one comment. The article has been up for 4 hours.

She is just not getting the traction she used to. She NEEDS the tabloids to report on her/As ever, it’s how she keeps costs down for marketing. It’s free after all.

But no one cares….yikes

Meghan imparts new As Ever advice to chill her branded Brut

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, offered the 'tip' while showcasing her As Ever bottles of the celebratory drink in a series of new photos on Instagram.

@AtIusvue

I think your idea of a code of conduct is good.

I also wonder whether - apart from the heir - Prince/Princess titles should only be conferred on working royals who are 18+ and the children should get lesser Lord/Lady titles (like Edward and Sophie chose) or no titles like the Phillip's children.

I think that the UK royals should also adopt some of the elements of the Swedish royal family

  • marry ins have to attend training courses (called Prince/Princess school by the media) for 6-18 months before the wedding that covers education and mentoring on subjects like diplomacy, etiquette, history, politics, languages and the organisation and workings of the royal household etc to ensure that marry ins understand their role
  • to be in the Los you have to be educated in Sweden

'A panty staple that feels special enough for celebrations and simple enough for all of life's other occasions.'

I don’t know whether that’s an As ever typo or a Mail ‘error’ when quoting from the Instagram account.

It's all a bit sad.

To move on I think and have a new model:

  • A distinction between working royals and non working royals re Titles. Only those who work for the public carry titles.**
  • That those working royals must work by a code of conduct.
  • Strict rules put in place about Crown properties and who is allowed to use them and for what

I wouldn't disagree with any of that, @Atlusvue, but I'm not sure what use of code of conduct would be if the principals had no wish to abide by it?

There's no accountability now and no apparent willingness in parliament to impose it, so what difference would the above make?

I agree!

This working royals and non-working royals thing is an issue that you would never have with an elected head of state.

In a republic, the job remit would be clear as would the person elected to be carrying it out.

The electorate would know precisely who was in charge at times of handover.

Ditto the divided loyalties within the RF when one of them has been found to be potentially doing something criminal, which results in dithering and delay. It’s all of this ambivalence that causes problems.

Ditto the murky boundaries between public and private funding,

But if we must have a monarchy there has to be radical change. If the Vatican can move with the times and a Pope can abdicate, I don’t see what is stopping KC3!

The worry is that William is an unknown
quantity. In the Levy interview he seemed to say that there would be some changes but not radical ones. Maybe he will feel freer now to do more, now this AMW scandal has opened up Pandora’s box? Not sure!

bluegreygreen · 22/02/2026 15:18

I think Denmark does something similar @Lunde - not sure if pre or post wedding, but I have some recollection of seeing pictures of Mary completing a stint with the Danish army.

Thank you for the invaluable tip (or is it trick?). It’s all so very complicated without the help you are graciously offering to me.

p.s. I am quite tall. Please be my friend.

It reminds me of bath bombs with petals in them - nice in theory but you end up with flower bits sticking to you when you're wet.

It looks pretty, as does the packaging, and fits in with the rest of the chocolate company's offerings when I looked through their website.

bluedancingtwiglet · 23/02/2026 17:18

It does look pretty - the packaging - but I wouldn't want a bit of dry flower in my mouth.

😂😂😂 I got a bright blue (I thought bath bomb) from lush on Rialto bridge shop in Venice. Settled in to relaxing bath, it was a bloody body butter (translation) 😱 I came out the bath looking like the blue skinned lady in X-Men and spent the whole week shedding blue glitter like fish scales, gritty hair, bra and knickers. So embarrassing it wouldn't rinse off the bath, I had to tell hotel manager. I still cringe thinking about it, bright blue dandruff everywhere I sat.

Gosh that’s even worse when I had to say to French hotel manager in French “I am sorry but I sat on the soap dish and broke it” ( it stuck out from the wall a long way).

It reminds me of a story told to me in the 1980s by a friend that worked in M&S HQ

Apparently the manager of M&S's Paris branch was accosted by a woman who demanded to know why the lovely peach tea had been discontinued. He was a bit confused because M&S Paris had never sold peach tea ..... eventually after a bit of back and forth it became apparent that she had been buying peach pot pourri room scent, boiling it up in water and drinking it!
🙀
