Another new story on Andrew today. Photo's have emerged showing that on Epstein's desk, there were emails regarding Epstein paying debts owed by Andrew/Sarah to staff:

Why on Earth was a Prince of England having his staff paid by a sex trafficker?
Doesn't seem "too honourable" to me.

Is it though? If young women are choosing to do this kind of thing then why is it the fault of the game? They have an option. Surely it's their choice ? We're not talking about trafficking here - it's a choice to hob nob with rich men , network and get $$$.

I agree it's a choice but in that industry, which I don't know at all, hanging around looking glamorous must be a better option than sleeping with male producers.

Well we are all told that networking is important just so happens in that industry they tend to be rich people.

To be fair at the law firm I worked at, I went to networking events and as you say was hob nobbing with rich partners....they were on milkion pound salaries so yes fair to day they were rich.

If networking is seen as something you should do because its who you know that will help you....why wouldnt you do it?

I doubt you were having sex with people though at those type of networking events. We're talking about different types of " networking".

It's partly because of attitudes like these that it's unlikely that those men will ever have to face justice

I doubt many women from loving families with good self esteem, and a reasonable education behind them, choose this path as a career option, unless they are desperate for money.

We're not talking about trafficked women - we're talking about women to choose to be escorts.

I don’t think it’s apologists - I think you guys are talking at cross purposes - there was a diversion talking about networking and why young actresses and models hang out at the parties with these older rich men.

It’s still a power imbalance and often very dangerous for some women in this situation - as know from the Weinstein case - but it’s still the industry system for new upcomers to have to get dressed up and network at these events. And there will be escorts at those events too who are not being coerced and are making their own choice to make money that way. (Obviously the whole sex industry as a choice is a different discussion)

But that’s a different situation to flying in vulnerable women and girls to private parties who are either coerced to appear willing, too young to understand or fight back etc.

I don’t see any apologists for Andrew and his cronies on here.

. Yes it all disappeared really quickly! I didn't catch a lot of the coverage, but did get some of the 'lying in State' but wanted to catch up on some more. I didn't have time to do a proper catch up, it all went!

Whilst I can see controversy about HE being a factor, it was removed before that reached peak.

I think all that footage was of prime historical archival importance. I cannot see why on earth the Royal Family were allowed to demand sequences be removed and even less of a reason for the BBC to have relented on the issue.

And it seems to have been agreed without scrutiny.

The Head of State is counting on us being gullible enough to be content with this. I personally feel just insulted by this action the consequence was just to reduce him to the same commoner status as the rest of us; as if that constitutes a 'punishment'.

AMW seems to be untouchable, answerable to no one. I bet he’s being handsomely funded by the king, certainly won’t be slumming it without servants, cars and a comfortable existence AND he’ll be back in the fold within a few years.

KC will fund AMW but apart from his siblings’ funerals I don’t think we will see him with the RF ever again . He certainly won’t be at William’s coronation ( assuming he lives that long)

He’s untouchable in the same sense that all of the men currently associated with Epstein are - there’s no verified evidence of something they can be taken to criminal court for.

I’m sure we all hope that’s going to change if at all possible. Although Trump will probably pre pardon himself before he leaves office

I wonder if he sees Edward and Anne? Once Charles dies I have a feeling he’ll somehow inveigle his way back into the fold perhaps by his daughters’ efforts? Or will they withdraw from being seen with William in public? I imagine their images have been thoroughly tarnished just musing out loud

We're not even talking about escorts. We are talking about actresses and models being invited to parties where actors and directors were present. Just because these girls were at parties doesn't mean they were escorts. Some may have just been there. Some may have been escorts, some may have been coerced into having sex with people like Weinstein because maybe they didnt want to be blacklisted from a career they wanted or thought it was a price worth paying but the blame for that still lies with the powerful men who used their power to coerce young women into having sex with them. I thought we'd moved on from actresses=prostitutes in the 1950's.

So what, exactly, do you want next?

A statement ? If so, saying what (that hasn,'t already been said)? And repeated, how often?

Or something else?

A statement explaining how and why the RF covered up this scandal for years and only took action when there was no other option open to them. That would be a start.
