Kate's birthday video "Mother Nature"

FloridaCheese · 09/01/2026 13:30

The PR machine is pushing Catherine as being the Queen of Nature, so wholesome and pure, and ending the video with "Mother Nature" just seems so forced to me.

I'm not really sure why she would release a 90 second video of this nature. Anyone else?

<< hundreds of posts about Meghan day drinking or Lilibet wearing socks or some other crime.>> 😂

I think you may have purposely overlooked the posts (in their hundreds and thousands ) about

Meghan & Harry’s ’ multiple TV and magazine interviews on both sides of the Atlantic,
Meghan’s podcasts,
Meghan and Harry guesting on other podcasts,
Meghan’s lifestyle series,
Harry ditching one of his charities,
Harry publicly supporting a corrupt violent African charity,
Harry and Meghan shutting down their much lauded charity,
Harry and Meghan losing staff on a monthly basis,
Meghan launching a jam business,

plenty more to list,

oh and the crème de la crème Meghan posting a video of her shaking her ass in the labour ward and Harry knocking on random doors in London in the midst of his supposed terror of his poor UK security

Sorry to disappoint you, but there were never hundreds of posts about kids socks or day drinking. The posts on here are usually discussions about Harry and Meghan and the PR agenda pushed by their ex publicists

But without the endless posting about them on multiple platforms they are:
Podcasts and failed business ventures by an ex actress,- surely so what? At least shes trying to make money. Netflix series- Multi million $$ media company pays someone to do a dull lifestyle programme- they do it because they dont care if people hate watch her show. So she sells jam- people can buy it or not. Im not paying for it- PR- They arent holding a gun to the DM's head to publish their press releases or even forcing Vogue to do magazine features about them. She is asked to do them, again because they are guaranteed to get traffic. The traffic comes from, to a large extent, people clicking on sites to say ' we're not interested/ theyre irrelevant/ why cant they shut up?' The press, the 'Royal commentators' etc just tot up the figures for ad revenue. Harry is slightly different as he is, I believe, a product of the RF. He wants what they all want- a Monarchy that can do what it likes with no scrutiny. Hes stupid and arrogant enough to think he can get it. Harrys charities are being investigated. Was all this happening when he was in the RF fold? . Do all the RF charity endeavours get properly investigated? Because AMW was allowed to use BP to skim a load of money from small businesses for his charity, Michael Fawcett cash for honours, Earthshot spending more money on glitzy showbiz events than it did in prize money. William and Harry fighting over who should have Africa. It is good that charities are scrutinised. They all should be. I suspect there is large scale corruption in the charitable sector and quite a lot of abuse still going on in charities that operate in Africa.

I agree @pilates

I can see now why a poster last night asked of other posters ‘please do not contact mnhq and ask for this thread to be pulled’.

They must have a sixth sense that it was about to get worse. Is this level of nastiness typical on a W&K thread? (especially the rating/questioning of a mum’s cancer diagnosis). I guess it must be if a poster had to caveat with the above sentence.

Don't drag me into this. I have not commented on Kate's cancer diagnosis. I just know that any criticism of Kate does not go down well on here. That's the only reason I put that.

NotARealBalletDancer · 11/01/2026 10:01

The video is self indulgent shite. It felt forced. All this ‘I’m so grateful, I’m reflecting’ stuff is to keep reminding us to feel sorry for her because she’s had cancer, and to stop us questioning the families bad behaviour. They’re trying to tell us she lives a simple life, appreciating the small things, all while living a lavish lifestyle on the taxpayer. How thick do they think the public is?

I haven’t said you have, don’t panic and I’m not dragging you into it, it’s your quote.

MNHQ don’t delete entire threads based on just any criticism of Kate (or anyone else), so even if reported, a thread wouldn’t get pulled for that reason. You clearly had concerns about the direction the thread was going in, and you were right (in my view) .

Mollydoggerson · 11/01/2026 10:06

How nice it is to be able to reflect in January, and holiday for weeks on end on yaghts in summer with family, and helicopter from one inherited estate to another. Utter wankology.

Very, otherwise they wouldn’t still be in situ/power so to speak

Not once did she mention her cancer. The video is about how she has benefited from the restorative power of Nature.

All of these many posts are the product of people’s own interpretation and imagination. We all have our own take on it, but don’t attribute things that aren’t there just as an excuse to spew your bile.

Yes, nicely timed for when most people are feeling at their poorest after Christmas and when heating bills are highest!

But it’s ok everyone, we can all go out and engage in some valuable self reflection by kicking an empty beer can around the local bus shelter!

The trouble is it gives the impression that she’s really got nothing else to do but waft around admiring nature in a landscape bereft of other people. It all looks very lonely to me. It isn’t inspirational, it’s a bit sad.

The video was released through their Instagram feed. The day before they released video and images covering a visit that day to brain injury survivors and publicising the NHS charities together initiative.

Catherine's nature videos are a tiny fraction of of their Instagram feed. This one got picked up by the press and social media but other posts didn't.

Christmaseree · 09/01/2026 15:11

She does have an idea what it is to be a cancer survivor and being around for another season does feel like a privilege to us.

I’m probably bitter and twisted. My darling DH died of cancer 2 years ago, after we struggled to get anyone in the nhs to pay any attention until it was way too late.

im afraid all I feel when I see tripe like this video is a sense of anger at their privilege for the best treatment money can buy and complete lack of understanding (or care) of what life is like for ordinary people.

I think what is more disgusting is your last two paragraphs .

" using her cancer" ?

"she is in on it"

Would you say that to the various posters who have talked on here about their personal experience of cancer - they are " using it" ? Does that apply to the posters talking about their relatives?

They were picked up and the comment Kate made to William about how he knew what it was like to sit and wait in the waiting room while she had cancer treatment was highlighted
How many cancer patients have the luxury of being able to take paid time off work themselves? Never mind. Bring along their partner for moral support.

I can't imagine how you must feel though when there are posters on here talking about people " bigging up" cancer and " using it" for effect. My father was too late for treatment as well.

Rather than attack William for being able to take time off, I'd rather campaign for compassionate leave and funding for others to do the same. Also I've been to chemotherapy appointments, there were lots of people being accompanied, and lots on their own.

There are many things I would like to change about the way the monarchy works, telling someone he can't sit with his sick wife, or at least not talk about it, because others can't isn't one of them.

Kate and her team are doing this. I’m just pointing it out.

People here aren’t public figures using their illness to manipulate, so it’s not my business to comment on them.

redmangyfox · 11/01/2026 11:08

PR spin ? Bigging up cancer? Using it? This thread throws the levels some will drop to. I am pleased to see that there are some posters who recognise that some others have gone too far - even the ones who refuse to answer a simple question or deny they have said anything. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Pray you never encounter this personally.

My husband managed to take time off and come home from Afghanistan to take me to treatment!

The problem with William not declaring his taxes and all the other tax avoidances and legislative exemptions they demand, is that they can talk all they like, but it looks like they think giving people a round of applause for all the hard work they do makes up for them not paying their fair share to actually keep those services running. Businesses have to pay for compassionate leave and sick leave. But they also have to pay corporation tax and CGT, have to comply with environmental legislation and whatever other legislation the RF have exempted themselves from. Parks, gardens, public open spaces, early years care, mental health support all takes a huge amount of taxpayers money. William ( as everyone is quick to point out) doesn't have to declare his tax but not only hasn't he, but his father has also stopped declaring (something he did because he said at the time he felt it was important for transparency and legitimacy that he did) as a result. They can talk the talk all they like, but putting out some videos doesn't make up for lack of funding and lack of resources and a seeming lack of willingless of the Royals to make their operation more cost effective or to put their hands in their own very deep pockets to contribute to the provision of those services. You don't need to hire yet another highly paid PR to tell you that you need to walk the walk, not just talk the talk. And don't take the piss with twee nonsense like this video.
