The royal family

I suppose people might assume that but it doesn’t necessarily mean that. Inappropriate could just be an adult willing to shag him as he was married? So generally sleezy and grim rather than illegal?

Considering he knew what they did and he used the term ‘inappropriate ’ it’s pretty clear. Otherwise hed just say ‘women or girls’ which is inappropriate anyway.

ItsDarkNow · 24/12/2025 12:33

Is there any chance now that the records of his years as Trade Envoy for the UK will be unsealed and made public?

I hope so. Although The Palace will fight tooth and nail to stop it. The toadying politicians and civil servants who signed off on it and covered up his wrongdoings are all in the House of Lords too, so they'll want to cover their backs.

simpsonthecat · 24/12/2025 12:47

He was long divorced at this point so that is not where the 'inappropriate' comes from.
He means anyone who has been trafficked, or paid to keep quiet, or willing or all of those.

ItsDarkNow · 24/12/2025 12:51

I firmly believe he was looking for girls under 18.

Certainly seems so. Uggggh.

I’m fairly sure that will have been inserted by their lawyers to guard against any future lawsuits by Andrew. The email isn’t, by itself, conclusive proof of wrongdoing - ‘inappropriate friends’ is sufficiently vague on that front - though of course, taken in conjunction with everything else we know, it’s very damning.

Edited

Agree with this. The reports so far don’t indicate any criminal acts and it’s right and proper that the articles contain this disclaimer. No one wants to provide any ammunition for MW’s lawyers to use against the reporting.

I fully suspect that in time, enough will be uncovered that MW can realistically face legal proceedings. This is just the tip of the iceberg isn’t it

He really needs to be removed from their LOS . I don’t understand why this hasn’t been done already .

Rosamunday · 24/12/2025 13:27

I can’t believe some of this was going on at Sandringham.

I think that really would need an act of Parliament.

So far, stripping of titles has been in the King's power, and stripping his naval rank has been in the Minister of Defences power.

Mylovelygreendress · 24/12/2025 13:35

Thanks @RedTagAlan . Hopefully it will happen .

I can’t believe some of this was going on at Sandringham.

It was going on all over the place. There are picures of Epstein and Maxwell canoodling at Balmoral, lounging around on the Thrones at Buckingham Palace. It looks like his gun licence was taken away possibly because he was giving them his guns to go marauding round the countryside. Its beyond belief that absolutely no one in the RF knew who they were or what he was doing with them.

ItsDarkNow · 24/12/2025 13:54

Totally agree @RainbowBagels
They knew - his parents knew and his siblings knew. William must also have been aware. They must have hoped it would never come to light.

Rosamunday · 24/12/2025 13:58

The whole royal family should be deeply ashamed! It’s utterly disgusting.

And we know the government don't want to do anything to upset the royal family, so in reality any request would have to come from the King.

If it did, then the excuse of the procedure wasting parliamentary time would miraculously change to, it will take a small amount of parliamentary time and won't hold anything else up.

It would take an Act of Parliament, and there’s only very limited legislative time for governments to get the primary legislation they want done anyway - they’d have to drop something else to do this, and given that there’s no way Andrew ends up on the throne short of a very nasty plane crash, I can understand that it’s not a top priority.

Charles clearly can’t stand Andrew so I don’t think that’s the issue.

I did say I think. As we saw with the King stripping his titles, nobody outside constitutional lawyers really know. I think.

I have a suspicion though that the King will stop the Sandringham estate farmhouse thing. That Andrew will have to make private arrangements perhaps ?

JacknDiane · 24/12/2025 14:20

Nah they'll want to keep him at Sandringham, as journalists and photographers dont get near the place so Andrew can carry on his sordid life in peace.

Good point, and I agree.

Any news on Fergie ?

I know the chances of him ascending the Throne are minuscule however the optics of him still being in the LOS are not good .
He needs to be totally cut adrift and if his daughters continue with their Middle East shenanigans, they should be too.

You think a man who asks for young women to be "provided" and associated
With a convicted sex trafficker and paedophile should not be investigated?

Well, if you put it like that, maybe I'm wrong.
