The Wales family photo is lovely but looks more like an Easter card.

I do like how Kate is positioned as the 'head' of the family.

Yes, she's the 'focus' of the piece - I think photographers call it 'the anchor'.

They also look as though they are imposed on the background.

The former King and Queen of Spain did a funny one of their five dogs

The family is obviouly superimposed on the background but at least it's a Christmassy background!

Those little boys are gorgeous and so alike. As someone on another forum said, it looks like Stephanie had the same baby twice!

If they don't do anything Christmassy it gives people something to grumble about.

Wow Prince Albert’s one wins hands down! I think William should have shaved - that kind of beard just looks unkempt.

Yes I agree - could have done without the daffodils.

The Wales card has them sitting in a field of daffodils. Which usually come peeping out early January to March. 🙄
I think they just chose a nice photo but not a festive one ☹️

They never choose anything festive, apart from the Morocco card year, the late Queen didn't, Charles doesn't. Of course if they did a specific Christmas themed photo shoot I expect that would draw criticism as well. I like that they seem to be moving to doing one photo shoot per year that then gets released for birthdays etc. Much easier to organise, particularly as the children grow up.

Looks like they got Louis’ birthday, George’s birthday, Father’s Day pic and Christmas card out of one afternoon with one photographer.

He’s the same photographer who did the black and white studio shots one year.

My favourite card is the doggy one.

I always hope for the best for them, but this is just another odd one (IMO)

That composition is very weird… almost, like they want it to be talked about..

Why can’t they just do a nice photo where they are looking normal with the kids. Faces can be buried in parents clothing or hidden (like Harry has done) but without the saccharin poses.

I think someone said on another thread that that is not the Sussex’s Christmas card.

I was just talking about the photo in general. It’s from a photo shoot clearly but it’s just so unnatural you have to wonder why.
