As ever and PR disasters continued

So Meghan lost her fathers number but is ringing round hospitals and will send a handwritten note, as per Sussex sources speaking through the Sun, the Telegraph and the Times.

I mean I have no idea, how it works with PR for very famous people, but surely there are scenarios they prep for?

Her dad is in his 80s, severely obese and has suffered ill health for years. You would think, there would be protocol in what to do should the worst happen.

That would include having up to date contact info. This isn’t something Meg would need to have/get involved with if she’s estranged, but surely ‘The Office of the DDOS’ would. Then engage in their set plan- whether that’s a public statement that this is a private affair or that contact has been made through the proper channels.

Whatever this is, it isn’t professional-it’s complete chaos.

I reckon it would be a very modest income indeed. What exactly is the target market for white label flower sprinkles that you have to order online?

I also think 'overthink' is the opposite of what she does. Everything she puts out is half baked and completely lacking in any attention to detail. Take the 'American Riviera Orchard' fiasco as a prime example. Or for an even more spectacular example of her failure to think things through, take Mexit.

Edited

See I think that only someone who had been over thinking would produce the mouthful that was ARO!

Russian and/or Israeli contacts seem to come up a lot with Harry and Meghan

The "finding freedom" house that they used in Canada was eventually found to be owned by Yuri Milner another Russian-Israeli, billionaire from the tech sector and the house was owned through a series of opaque offshore trusts/foundations
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/vancouver-island-mansion-harry-meghan-yuri-milner-pandora-1.6419328

Then the previous owner of the house in Montecito was the dubious Russian businessman/money launderer Sergey Grishin who died in unclear circumstances in Moscow.
https://hk.news.yahoo.com/sergey-grishin-scarface-oligarch-sold-070000012.html

I wonder if the move to "Philanthropies" means they can accept donations from dubious sources via a third party?

So …

2020 - The H&M ‘finding freedom’ debacle begins.

2020 - Israel IDF expresses its intention to join Invictus, and to apply to Russian-Israeli Mikhail Fridman’s foundation for sponsorship.

2020 - H&M stay in the mansions of Russian-Israeli Yuri Milner and Tyler Perry (now an alleged nonce), and buy one cheap from Russian-Israeli Sergey Grishin (deceased).

2022 - Israeli IDF joins Invictus. Israeli Government ministers give grateful statements.

2023 - Israeli IDF competes in its first Invictus Games. More grateful statements are made by Israeli Government ministers.

Someone is organising all this and it’s someone who is likely a ‘last man standing’ figure in the H&M miasma, is close to Harry, and knows the workings of Invictus. I can’t possibly think 🤔

You’re completely right but I suspect she does overthink things - just the wrong things.

Take the quotes up thread from staffers talking about her micromanagement, sending emails at 2am changing one adjective in a piece of copy, then swinging back the other way the next day.

I’ve known managers like that - people who waste their time on irrelevant details like which side of the flyer the logo sits on and what font size to use, and whether describing something as delectable or delicious will be more impactful. They puff themselves up and brag about their amazing attention to detail and perfectionism - but all they’re doing is making their team’s life a misery, and while they’ve been wasting hours faffing about the exact copy placement on a flyer, they’ve failed to book the printers, or thought about the audience that is going to receive the piece. People who do this do so because it makes them feel important and it masks their actual incompetence or lack of ability to deliver, because they can talk (as Meghan has) about being so busy and spending hours obsessing about packaging.

It’s all microscopic irrelevance, and a total lack of big picture strategic thinking or actually getting stuff done end to end.

JSMill · 30/12/2025 16:33

They made a big thing about how stressful their life was in the royal family but as an outsider, their lives in the last few years look way more stressful and unenjoyable. M was incredibly sensitive about stories in the British press (eg about avocados) but there’s been some pretty brutal stuff put out there mocking them on social media and some very negative stories in the American media. Has she suddenly grown a thick skin.

Serenster · 30/12/2025 17:22

It's often said that MM works hard and she has said that she pores over the details of things but I don't think that is true at all

As others have said that’s potentially one reason why she’s running into problems. Launching a business at scale (as she did) means you have to be able to deliver through others - no one person will have the time, or indeed the skillset, to make all the creative/financial/operational/logistical decisions that are needed. You need to be able to delegate and accept the team you have hired to deliver various aspects know what they are doing.

That’s not something people find easy - especially not perfectionists (because their innate tendency is to believe they will do something better). But Meghan has had several years now of working with a team to support her in her various endeavours, it’s something she should have been able to develop.

I don’t think she’s a perfectionist, albeit she’s tried to get that ‘out there’ I think she’s more controlling than perfection, she often looks like she’s not looked at herself in a mirror properly, crumpled clothes, shades that don’t match, shoes too large etc. however I do think she’s absolutely trying to get all the right things in her media drops, however, she doesn’t understand many of the words she usuwa and makes mistakes there too - she looks like a fool

Exactly , she used the term 'imposter syndrome' incorrectly, it was cringe worthy.

What's the latest on As Ever ? Has she released any more products? I thought she was going to branch out into homeware.

😭. this. Being hired for your expertise, then your advice being ignored on the important matters, and copy being picked over to change a comma... when grammatically it is equally correct to include or exclude the comma...

When your principal tells a potential funder about the things that puff them.up in their own.opinion, rather than what the potential funder is interested in...

Interesting that the link above (whether a fan account or more direct) is promoting Le Creuset in the text.

I suspect she’s finding out that it costs money and she’s not getting much back from it … I may be wrong, but i seem to recall it was said by others that there have been no facts and figures about sales / profit loss etc so suspect it’s all smoke and mirrors as usual … aren’t infamous with my ridiculous company when she’s likely not getting custom or any profits

I'd love to see her on "The Apprentice".
The candidates on that are very fond of throwing jargon and polysyllabic words around that they don't quite grasp the meaning of; she'd have to up her grooming game though.

Hi everyone, been AWOL for a while because I was so fed up of them! Even though I missed my MN friends on here, I just had apathy, which I think many people have towards them now and this is why I’m convinced this is the beginning of the end for them. However, the recent events have lured me back! Just when you think, 2025 couldn’t get any worse for these two charlatans, it does. James Holt has been sniffing around his contacts in the U.K. for a while so lots of people are not surprised by his departure. Meredith has obviously become so frustrated that she’s not allowed to do her job/isn’t listened to and then blamed when it goes wrong. Which of course, it always does because they think they know best and they clearly don’t. They’re also running an empty pot and have had to do something about the Archewell Foundation before it goes legal. The books are not balancing.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 30/12/2025 19:42

@AtIusvue what on earth did you post...

Agree @MummyJ12 I'm more on here because of the festive break, but they aren't very interesting anymore.

AtIusvue · 30/12/2025 19:44

I wrote that a post was embarrassing. That’s it. No name was tagged in my message.

Im guessing it’s the same MN moderator from the other day.

@MummyJ12 I think you are right. I do love the chats on here because I think most people are respectful and have interesting points of view. People often articulate things much better than I could and some people have really interesting knowledge. However, I am pretty apathetic about them these days. Once upon a time, I thought they would do a huge reveal about why they left but the NF series and Spare were both massive squibs. They are dull people and not very nice to boot.

NormaMajors1992coat · 30/12/2025 19:51

I saw that post - it literally said “your post is embarrassing”. No reason for it to be deleted whatsoever. This place is so weird sometimes.

Lots of posts were deleted the other day, for merely commenting that posters sympathetic to Meg n Harry, were notably absent from the RF threads.

Totally ridiculous.

I think H will go all out on trying to take down the monarchy after Charles dies.

TBF the monarchy is doing pretty well on that account all by itself.

Its Christmas, of course people are unlikely to be posting. I haven't been as there hasn't been time to come on here recentlt. Its hardly surprising and pretty obvious why people aren't 🤨 it'll be same for new yrs eve/day too then people will be preparing to go back to work or doing things with their kids of they are still off.

There is a life to live 💁

jeffgoldblum · 30/12/2025 20:08

They are still posting just not on this thread.

How in the world of weed would he achieve that? 😂
