Just as an aside, if you are not white, wearing 'nude' tights looks ridiculous. That was the point. It was a stupid rule. Ours too, she might be using flowery language but our tree has some dodgy decorations that my kids made in primary or some we have bought over the years, some are from my late Mils tree, so it is a total mish mash of lovely memories.

Her family is surely her husband and children? I am in contact with all my family but my tree has nothing to do with them. Its just things the kids made/bought.

Is she selling Christmas crackers? I have never seen them here in the US. I also have strong food associations for Christmas. I definitely remember foods that I've made or eaten for the holidays, as do many friends and acquaintances.

They’re 20 & 24 now so don’t appreciate the angel made out of wooden pegs or the Santa made from loo rolls.
