And yes I agree that Gwens' content here is so much more relatable (and dare I say doable) Turkey burgers with cranberry Ketchup sounds very Bridget Jonesy on a budget, young woman staying in with the boyfriend, or just you and a girlfriend or sibling. The entire thing also sounds doable with a bit of prep, no 'apples straight from my orchard' type pretentious nonsense but still pulling punches if you need to make an impression.
I totally agree that had Meghan seized the moment to release something similar during Covid when we all needed a bit of diversion, it would have provided a much stronger launch for As Ever and it would have also produced valuable trends and marketing insight as she could have used it as a gauge of what her audience and potential customers react to and would like, product wise. But Meghan takes everything too seriously.
Gwen's early newsletters seem to have passed me by. I don't think I took notice. I missed out!
