The royal family

As ever, WLM, PR disasters continued

Online, people are pointing out that a very expensive cashmere jumper that Meg wore on suits, also made its way to her wardrobe

It’s been nothing but PR disasters of late.

What I have noticed which is curious - is that the UK tabloids are not running with P6 story about the dress. Just like they avoided talking about the NY car chase. They only reported on the media frenzy. But, we know Harry sent out some sort of memo not to publish photos etc. None of the UK press did. Now Meg has acknowledged the stolen dress story and released an official refute ….and none of the UK press are even reporting on that?

That’s weird. They will literally print any old Meg story to get clicks…..but not this one???

The articles on this issue are mainly American.

Perhaps I wasn’t clear.

Harry never rejected his royal status or his titles. You were criticising him for using them in public.

I was explaining that he was rail-roaded in to his current position.

So what was all of that "just call me Harry" malarky about when he quit the Royal Family?

... and the "freedom flight" from the Royal Family?

IcedPurple · 04/12/2025 14:00

I don't want to rehash ancient history but of course he was not 'rail roaded'.

He and his wife thought they were so important, so popular and so all round amazing, that they could basically name their price. Turns out they were not quite as indispensable as they thought. And the rest is history which unlike you I'm not interested in going over yet again.

Whether Harry 'chose' to reject his royal status or not is irrelevant. The fact is that he is, as a Prince of the United Kingdom, publicly making 'jokes' at the expense of the Head of State of his host country. That is inappropriate regardless of what Harry did or did not 'choose'.

And you still don't get it.

Edited

We’ll have to disagree,

No one is indispensable but I think in the long-term it is bad news for the RF that they couldn’t keep Harry in the fold.

Having H & M in the family would have appealed to a less archaic, pompous, more diverse demographic which the RF need to attract.

And it’s not a good look to
have an ongoing feud when the monarch is the head of the Church of England whose central tenet is forgiveness,

And I think it’s great he made a joke about Trump! Too many people are afraid to speak up even in jest!

I think many people feel that way when they distance themselves from a dysfunctional family don’t they?

I guess the royals will have to manage without the couple who attend Kardashian parties and wiggle their bums and point to their crotches for 'likes' on Instagram. They seemed to be managing fine without them at the German State Banquet last night.

There is no 'ongoing feud'. Harry found his freedom as Prince for Hire. The royals have moved on and the Sussexes are not missed.

You're obviously an adoring fan so can't see how it's inappropriate for someone with no credentials other than being the son of a foreign Head of State to mock the President of his host country. Nothing I can say will make you see otherwise, so I'll not waste my time.

As ever, H is a victim. H is the victimiest victim that ever victimed.

H is a victim of his brother being born first, being bigger in size and eating more hence the great sausage travesty. I am sure H follows strict portion equality between his two kids with different ages and appetites.

H is a victim of his mother's decision to give William the bigger half of the nursery.

H is a victim of his dear King Pa for Pa's failure to be a bank issuing blank checks.

H is a victim of his grandfather being born in a less "woke" generation and using language from his era.

H is a victim of his grandmother not giving into H's every whim.

In every situation, when in doubt, H is a victim.

Yes well I agree it’s pretty dreadful to be born in to a unique situation you never asked for with the eyes of the world looking on. Most of us would find it challenging I think.

And wow, Nice attempt at defending Prince Philips’s racism there, My grandfather was of the same if not slightly earlier generation as PP and he never once said racist things like that.

FleurDeFleur · 04/12/2025 14:29

Poor Harry. A perpetual victim. He's only been racist because of his grandfather?
How strange. My grandfather was too, and used the P word. I never have. That's because I've educated myself and taken personal responsibility for my words and actions.
Something which, sadly, seems beyond Prince Harry.

And don't forget that 'he didn't choose to be born into this situation'.

Unlike the rest of us, who fill out a form outline the preferred circumstances of our birth in utero.

Mylovelygreendress · 04/12/2025 14:31

Slight derail but anyone like to suggest what H and M might do tomorrow to detract from Catherine’s Carol Concert ?

My2cents1975 · 04/12/2025 14:32

What is rather alarming is that a self-proclaimed republican is clearly displaying zero understanding of "conflict of interest" which makes HIHO impossible for anyone.

And why is the republican so keen on H following in his godfather Andrew's footsteps. Anne and Edwards are siblings of the monarch, and they stayed in their lane. Why can't H?

The men in grey failed to fill out his form.

Please remember, H is always a victim. It is a constant like the speed of light, gravitational attraction or Planck's constant.

(Guess who is helping with physics revision and getting flashbacks to O levels!)

Madison Square Garden. Harry and a Trump lookalike in a bare knuckle fight. Meghan can set up a jam stall for half time.

AtIusvue · 04/12/2025 14:40

Thewolffromthedoor89 · 04/12/2025 13:44

Of course Colbert was mocking him!

Harry was mocking himself too.

They were both very much aware of the double satire going on.

You honestly think Harry understands? He really doesn’t.

He doesn’t even understand his own family history, never mind its connection to Irish history and the reason why Colbert holds anti British sentiment. Colbert is expressing that sentiment through the medium of the royal court jester (Harry)

Twerking.
Picture of the back of Lilibet Diana.
Flowers elevating processed packet food.
Christmas tree decorations included one from LTQ.
Some charity/celebrity cross over.

😂😂😂

BemusedAmerican · 04/12/2025 14:42

Harry could attend an ICE protest if he's still in NYC. Or try to pose with Zohran Mamdani. Or take a trip to Brooklyn and visit the Prison Ship Martyr's Monument:

Meghan can demonstrate to the rest of us caught in cold weather how to make snow shoveling more festive and fun.

Harry sings a solo from Hamilton.
He doesn't understand the musical, but it makes people laugh and applaud.
Win/win.

I'm stealing the twerking.

OK, Madison Square Garden. Harry and a Trump lookalike in a bare knuckle fight. Meghan can twerk around a gigantic pot of As Ever spread at half time.

Perhaps by adding sprinkles from evergreen trees.

Then they burst into a song from Hamilton.
Harry still failing to understand what it's about, but people still applaud him, so that's good, right?

AtIusvue · 04/12/2025 14:47

Isn’t she launching her chocolate today? He could be the new milk tray man.

Auld baldy heid, in one of Megs polo necks, flying a helicopter to Kris Jenners, to deliver a chocolate bar?

She can demonstrate how to make fake snow for that white Christmas feeling.

Actually I would love to see her make a fruit cake and see if it's edible. Americans are not fruit cake fans:

If you are commenting on my posts and not those of another poster, then why is no monarchist addressing my questions about why enjoying the profits from two huge commercial operations aka the Duchies, which each make £20 million a year profit does not qualify as HIHO?

Btw, they don’t pay corporation tax on that money either despite them being fully commercial entities.

Is it because it is all carried out behind a wall of smoke and mirrors by any chance?

He's misheard the words to "My Shot". He's singing, "I'm not throwing away My Pot", whilst gyrating around with Meghan and sucking on a bong.

BemusedAmerican · 04/12/2025 14:54

There have been multiple threads about the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall. Even I now have a fairly decent idea of how they work and I still can't understand how you time your prime minister elections.

Harry inherited tens of millions from Diana and the Queen Mother. Charles bankrolled him. He wasn't thrown out, penniless into the cold. Why can't he live within his income.

Posting a video of Harry licking her chocolate covered jewelry and fingers, ‘that man loves her so much, much’.
