What do we think?

Negotiating tactic to maximise her take from the takedown or genuine desire to put her side of the story?

Personally I think it's a shot across the bows of the palace indicating she's not prepared to go quietly without guarantees of a substantial feathering of her nest.

I aso think whatever they might do for her now she'll do an interview anyway at some point when she's frittered away her resources as per and needs the cash.

I really doubt the palace is remotely worried, anything she says will be gossip and let’s face it won’t be worse than Harry and Megan’s shite,

The middle-aged princesses are as grifty as the parents IMO. Beatrice the ‘private equity analyst’ mooches in the Middle East with daddy’s pals ffs.

The late QE2 looks like she was up to her neck in it too, protecting her favourites and her private wealth.

I hope they all go down together. Right now I’d rather the head of state were Kate Bush or JK Rowling who pay their taxes.

The negotiations to remove his title and get him out of Royal Lodge also obviously contained a negotiation to remove her title as her Sarah, Duchess of York was her divorced style and nothing to do with Andrew or his current titles.

They've been treated as a couple by the RF for several years, most recently at the Duchess of Kent's funeral where they were sat side-by-side like partners. There's no chance she wasn't involved in discussions given the announcement about her title usage.

She's been royal adjacent for forty odd years and undoubtedly knows where some bodies are buried.

Although the same will also be true in reverse the palace has way more to lose reputationally than the disgraced Fergie. I think they'll be worried.

I do think the princesses have turned out well despite their incorrigible parents

I think they're shaping up to be just as shifty and entitled as their parents.

I'd be entirely unsurprised if more emerged about dodgy contacts and grifting further down the line.

I really doubt Buckingham Palace are panicking over what a disgraced ex wife of a disgraced spare is going to write. Harry was close to the late Queen and his father and brother and had the cache of being Diana's son and yet everything he wrote rebounded on him rather than the palace, Sarah in contrast has been out of the loop for years. Sarah would be an idiot to think she could make much in a saturated market. We liked Harry and were interested in what he had to say, can anyone say the same of her?

Anne is the spare!

Fergie's rep is already in the gutter so any rebound will be water off a duck's back. She's an utter buffoon with form for running her mouth off which makes her a loose cannon but at the same time potentially very compelling TV.

I think the palace would be foolish to underestimate her sheer unpredictability coupled with that uncanny ability to bounce back.

She would definitely bounce back however any book was received, she seems without shame. I Just don't think the palace have much to worry about because her reputation is trashed so how seriously would anything she wrote be taken? They've bounced back from Harry, albeit with some tricky bits, i can't see Sarah causing more damage than him.

Fergie probably knows lots that could embarrass BP thanks to her ex and daughters. She could make the situation between Charles/William and Harry even worse by making claims that won’t be explained by BP and Harry won’t be able to verify behind the scenes because he will have cut ties with people in the know.
The real cash will be in the Diana stories and “unseen photos” imo which is going to piss off William.

I really doubt fergie knows anything. Like Harry had nothing other than the nonsense they leaked stories on me and William got the bigger bedroom. And I think that’s as there is really nothing to know.

H has said that he both left things out of 'Spare' and had enough for a second book.

I think Ferg knows plenty and while it may be more on the gossip side of the spectrum rather than any dark secrets it's likely to be entertaining enough to earn her a pretty decent payoff.

Bearing in mind how a tell all book would negatively affect her daughters do you think she would do it? No matter how innocent they were, they would be blamed for whatever came out. I just can't see Sarah risking that happening seeing as their daughters keeping their titles seems to have been a big part of why Andrew eventually capitulated.

I also didn't believe Harry when he said he had enough material for a second book. The first books revelations were so petty I'm being that anything he thinks he knows wouldn't pass the lawyers.

Was she? I seem to remember she came out of it quite well? And didn’t she manage to wangle more bits and pieces by hanging off Andrew later on as well? I lived in a few different countries over that whole period so I may have the details wrong.
