She's a beautiful woman but i can't understand why she just doesn't drop the titles and be herself. And it's odd how she talks about how much 'H' loves her but not how much she loves him.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, Meets Her Moment

After years of being subsumed by other people’s narratives, she's ready to author her own next chapter

How can she sue? Titles are a gift from the monarch. IIRC she is not even a British citizen and is a citizen/resident in a country that does not recognise inherited titles.

Exactly. There's no contract in place or duty of care owed by the RF on which to sue. The only crazy possibility I can think of is suing the RF for tortious interference with her contractual arrangements or business relationships with the likes of Netflix, is she can claim they are predicated on her being a duchess. That sort of nonsense might fly in the States, but not in the UK.

Imagine the Cousins’ WhatsApp!

Would the cousins WhatsApp include Beatrice and Eugenie?

I think the late Queen misunderstood what kind of actress she was.

Indeed

"Mama" probably.

She likely thinks that's what aristocrats like herself go by.

I think in a couple of interviews, she has mentioned they address her as ‘mama’.

I think it was Theatre and International Studies

Oh gosh yes maybe it should have been media 😂

Probably "Your Royal Highness" in the first instance, though.

When I read that I did have an image of a row of trumpeters in my head!

I think of all the little seahorses toot toot tooting for King Triton in Disney's Little Mermaid (the 1989 animated version).

Timeforabitofpeace · 21/11/2025 22:42

Honestly, overactive imaginations. None of you actually know anything about her. It’s like a soap opera.

Beesandhoney123 · 21/11/2025 23:01

Oh we all know loads about megs. She's never off the Internet. loves posting pics of herself on social, always doing interviews, and her husband, Mr megs never shuts up either!

The last throw of the dice will be a film and a book deal about them meeting, the royals at home, directed by megs perhaps.

NormaMajors1992coat · 21/11/2025 23:03

Absolutely right. Nobody knows anything about Meghan. Netflix, Harpers, The Cut, Vanity Fair, two podcast series, Oprah, Finding Freedom, multiple interviews and statements and briefings, hours and hours of her blathering on about herself, all figments of the imagination.

Or the the “hateful British press” who make everything up whilst ignoring all the interviews the pair have given

Getting the butler to announce your arrival in a room is just hilarious and so pretentious. It's like something she saw on a Hallmark Christmas movie and decided was "royal"!
Sorry, just wanted to go back to this grandiose announcement - it was in a friend's house right? Why is she being interviewed (and announced 😂) in a friend's house. Why not her house? Or in a hotel or something? Is it a thing to just rock up at a pal's house and say "can I just borrow your sofa for a bit?"

And also As for her own kids: “I hope they see the value of being brave. They saw it when the jam was just a pot on the stove, bubbling.”
What's so brave about watching a pot of jam cooking?

Because…this isn’t just any jam! , it’s h and m jam! … full of whimsical notes of fruit … smooth to the point of liquid refreshment, decadent and royal, it’s full bodied delight has notes of bravery.

@jeffgoldblum aside from this thread, after that description I sincerely hope you work in advertising for a perfume house or something.
If you don't, you are missing your calling:)

Meghan's makeup queen who lends Sussexes her private jet and mansions

She appears to have become something of a mother figure to both the prince and Meghan. They were introduced to each other by feminist icon Gloria Steinem.

From my understanding it's a terrible watery jam, a runny jam, a failed jam, an almost jam that never graduated jam school, a jam gone so wrong that only she says is a good jam.

In fact, it's such a failed jam that it's not sold as jam. They call it a spread.

But because she is such a good business woman, she knows exactly how to deal with such a disastrous situation.

Just ask the OEM jam factory to make a few hundred jars.

That way she can say " Sold out, it's so good and jammy, that nobody can buy it".

Yup, her jam sells out. That's how good she is.

:-)

Ever had sugar burns?
Being around someone cooking jam when they don’t even know which way up to hold the jar tongs is a risky business.

FenellaFeldman · 22/11/2025 08:33

Fortunately, the jam - or "spread" she sells is made in a factory in Illinois, according to pp. So any hot sugar based danger is hopefully averted.

It’s funny isn’t it how we know more about Harry and Meghan than we do about the Prince and Princess of Wales. And yet only one couple has complained about privacy.

Yes; strange indeed. 🤔
