Meg n Harry trick or treating with booze?

AtIusvue · 01/11/2025 22:16

Meg appears to have wine tumbler cooler and Harry has a bottle of something to take their kids tricking or treating.
Why the hell would you be drinking while looking after your kids? I mean, it’s definitely a chore taking the kids round the houses…..but I’m sure most people can do it without resorting to hitting the vino!

It looks to me like his bottle is brown, not the contents. It's clearly not a beer bottle as the lid is far too wide and large, just like the top of an insulated water bottle.

No5ChalksRoad · 02/11/2025 02:16

Majority of parents in my area have beer or whine during trick or treating.

I had a whine too… but I don’t drink. Ba dum tsss 🥁 😆

wineosaurusrex · 02/11/2025 07:23

Sounds like great fun! You sound like a bore 😂

The only thing established by this thread is that Meghan and Harry can't go out and do what other parents do (trick or treating) without some obsessive posting on a UK forum about how awful they are for carrying what other parents freely do

Sad. Weird. Odd.

This! Get a life OP

BigOldBlobsy · 02/11/2025 07:27

People will find any old reason to dislike Megan and Harry. What a stupid thread. Exiting.

PigletIsWorried · 02/11/2025 07:27

Even if it is wine, what the hell is the problem with having a glass of wine or a beer while looking after your children?

If you didn't already have it on your agenda to hate them you wouldn't think twice about this.

Mrswhiskers87 · 02/11/2025 07:27

Jesus I honestly think you need to get a life OP (and to stop reading the daily mail!). I can’t even find the words to describe how pathetic this entire thread is.

FrauPaige · 02/11/2025 07:32

Super reach. Andrew Windsor is in the crosshairs for alleged illegal acts ranging from trafficking, sexual assault, close association with a convicted sex offender, paying nothing to live in a 30-room mansion at the taxpayers' cost, utilising his trade envoy role for personal gain, and questionable dealings with Gaddafi and a Chinese spy...

..and @AtIusvue is outraged at the containers from which Harry and Meghan consume their drinks.

Allthingsbrightandbeautifulx · 02/11/2025 07:35

PAGE SIX, PAGE SIX blah blah
Op didn’t include this pic from Page Six where you can clearly see Harry’s bottle is just a brown insulated bottle - as is the one in his back pocket.
Both of them carry insulated receptacles, could contain non alcoholic beverages, hot, cold. No one knows, some crazy’s will speculate. But news outlets with money to make will always point out any negative they can surrounding these two.
Maybe the tradition around those neighbourhoods is to have a few while wandering around, I’m also sure some would simply like to stay hydrated.

Seiously if they want to have a glass of wine they are allowed to. Many people don’t have babysitters / family to help and otherwise would not drink for 18/ 20 years as they are always ‘looking after kids’. As long as they have a modest amount there is no issue and this is not a Puritanical time.

I don’t like M and H particularly but equally dislike the M and H bashing.

Libellousness · 02/11/2025 07:39

I assume this is a wind up thread, but that is quite clearly an insulated water bottle and a travel mug for a hot drink.

aCatCalledFawkes · 02/11/2025 07:44

What a pointless thing to write a post about. Scraping the barrel with this H&M story,

tinytemper66 · 02/11/2025 07:47

BingBongBish · 01/11/2025 22:21

Why the hell would you be drinking while looking after your kids?

Why would you assume they were from that photo? 🤷‍♂️

Because it is Harry and his wife…
no other reason.

Ladyymuck · 02/11/2025 07:47

It looks like a coffee mug and water bottle but so what if H&M have a glass of wine or beer, they’re more than entitled to it and it’s hardly newsworthy. Would W&K get the same flak for this that H&M do, somehow I think not…

GlassofRosePorfavor · 02/11/2025 07:48

What's it got to do with you eh?

trainkeepsgoing · 02/11/2025 07:49

Get a life OP!!

Caitleen · 02/11/2025 07:53

I've seen it all now! I thought it was a coffee mug too.
On the Christmas list. Or I could just use my coffee mug, there's an idea....😉

👍They are probably Lili and Archie’s water bottles 😂 classic.

Kidsgotothatschool · 02/11/2025 07:55

I’d happily go out trick or treating with a glass of wine!!! In fact I think I have! So I couldn’t care less of they have or haven’t. Tbh if they have then I’d love to join them!

But it’s clear the cup and bottle show nothing of the sort.

What a stupid thread!

BillyBites · 02/11/2025 07:56

I don't care for Harry or Meghan at all but this is ridiculous. We've no idea what is in those containers but even if it IS alcohol, so what?

FallingIsLearning · 02/11/2025 07:57

It looks like it has straight sided - more like this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0BSR28RT6?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

It says it’s a travel mug for hot drinks. I hope it is, as I bought my 10 year old daughter and her friends each a personalised one of these for post-parkrun hot chocolate. If it isn’t, I’m probably now the most judged parent there!

UninitendedShark · 02/11/2025 08:04

Why have we not adopted this custom over here???? We drink at any and all kidcentric events including the preschool disco in the village hall, christenings, first birthday parties. We are missing a trick! Nothing pairs better with wine than a stolen-from-your-kids mini bag of haribo. Couldn’t care less about Harry and Megan though.

Petrie999 · 02/11/2025 08:11

I think you are painting tabloid interpretation as fact. The facts are that that these cups of hers can be marketed as either used as a wine tumbler or an insulated cup - they have the same ones at my toddler classes for parents to have a hot drink. And his bottle could be a water bottle or a vessel of any drink including alcohol. The press have chosen their interpretation just based on suggestions that trick or treating in some US areas involves alcohol for parents. This doesnt mean it's true - they're speculating. Does this help? You seem to lack any critical thinking or be able to hold two possibilities as options for truth. Also - why do you care?

Letthemeatgateau · 02/11/2025 08:11

Quick everyone, look over here. No, not at the rapist, look at two people carrying a drink of something unknown instead.

This X a million.
I neither like not hate them any more than any of the rest of the clan and will happily comment if I think they are being twits, but this is definitely not one of those times.

They look like 99% of other parents doing the TOT routine on Friday night, a bit frazzled and fed up perhaps but totally fine. In spite of the OPs insisting, it still looks like Meghan is holding some kind of coffee cup to me and Harry's drink could literally be anything as there are loads of soft drinks that look like alcohol these days and even if it is wine, so what? He's only holding it.

If they were openly neckiing Strongbow whilst staggering about with their kids in tow then the OP might have a point, but they're not so she doesn't.
