.... With the prospect of no more title, no charities, no free mansion?

How long before she leaves the ghastly ex to wallow alone in the pile of shit he's created?

Too old to hook a billionaire, now…

She only “went back” with PA for the money.

Why is she being a scapegoat in the press?

My guess is he / KC said “if you take the heat, we’ll make sure you are looked after $$$” It will soon be chip paper.

It will stop her doing a book, and keep eyes away from the much worse PA stuff that the papers have (super-injunction)

Unlikely.
The RF are done with the pair of them. William is clearly dealing with it now and he's not as soft as his Pa, who is famously confrontation averse.
There's nothing that grifting pair have on the RF. They're too stupid and ignorant to have gained any information of importance.

Yes, Charles needs to keep Ferguson happy for this reason, to keep a lid on all the relationship, health and financial gossip about the family members.

To be honest I think this is the time to lance the boil and say publish and be damned . If she wants to live wherever they put Andrew so be it but nothing more for her.

I don’t mind the titles so much - even when they have many of them each. I tell myself it’s keeping history alive, maybe.

I think it’s really funny though when they award each other medals.

Yes, I find that strange too. Why was Andrew given the Knighthood of the Garter?

You might be right. I think with Charles having taken on the top job, and going through cancer, he no longer has the tolerance for his “golden child” brother, but the dynamic has been there for years… Now, William will come in & do the dirty work!

Good! I hope he goes for it 🤞

Generally all of the 'senior' royals become Royal Knights of Ladies at some point. Andrew and Edward were both added in 2006. The only current ones who aren't are Sophie and Catherine. Going by the way they've done it so far Sophie will likely be added at some point in the next 10 years (unless Charles particularly wants to do it so does it asap) and Catherine when William becomes King.

It's just a tradition. Same with having certain foreign Kings, Queen and Emperors as Stranger Knights and ladies.

I don’t think she’s a scapegoat. She’s nearly as bad as him in her own right!

Exactly!

MannersAreAll · 28/10/2025 17:17

I don't think she went back as such. I don't think they ever truly separated in the way most people do.

I think they didn't want to get divorced in the first place. She basically said way back that they had an open relationship. The photos of her with Steve Wyatt just caused too many questions so they had to officially separate (a bit like the Korea tour pics forced the Wales official separation) and then the toe sucking pics enraged the RF for the indiscreetness of them so divorce was ordered.

Neither have ever had other relationships openly. They've lived together for years. Since Philip died she's been treated as his partner at official occasions. They're basically a couple.

That's why it'll be farcical if they're given two separate residences. They're a married couple who just happen to not be married anymore. They live in the way many married royals/aristos do with their own bedrooms etc. they don't need individual houses other than to portray an element of proper separation - which maybe she'd want if there's more to come about him or maybe he'd want if there's more to come about her.

I agree with this.

To be clear I am in favour of a Constitutional Monarchy as is my DH . BUT things which are coming out now re PA and SF are testing my patience and the sweeping things under the carpet. I think now , if ever , is the time to face titles etc head on and remove them via Parliament. Be in no doubt I reckon PA was seething about that mealy mouthed "I / we have decided " release because he is a self entitled pompous buffoon (other opinions are available 😂) But start with that and then let's get on to more scrutiny about IHT etc. & if necessary give him a modest home to live out his days. I actually think Frogmore cottage too good for him - I think it is one of the loveliest Royal residences - but then I didn't grow up in a place. It's way nicer than my house.

DH reckons if they haven't shown more gumption and clarity George will be the last one. & I wouldn't like it , by which I mean George being the last one , I would like to to see more gumption and clarity about RF finances and titles . & not having proliferation of titles for those not members of the WRF. So if B&E are being held hostage for their DP's transgressions , remove their titles I would say. And I say that knowing as women they can't pass them down , so works both ways - little matter if their titles are removed now.

ETA - I did grow up in a place not a pAlace - typo

Gowlett · 28/10/2025 17:26

She’s as bad as him, no doubt.

But the press are going to town on her…

Because they can’t print what they want about him?

Why sell her Mayfair home last month if she knew she was about to become homeless, liquidating assets maybe.

Indeed get it over and done with. I also don’t think there’s much that could be said that would damage the RF to much tbh.

15 years ago someone slept with someone they shouldn’t
20 years ago someone did something bad.
25 years ago someone said something bad

Sure the book will sell and the headlines would go crazy for a while but I don’t think as many people truly care about royals historical behaviour as long as legal compared to what they are up to today and even those that care don’t care enough to bother with the abolish the royal family groups except some hardliners.

Andrew possibly committed illegal activities and currently sponges off his family. So double bad. Fergie sponge ring clinger on. So disliked.

Charlie boy and Camilla’s stuff is all old news. We also know he seem to get his staff to do everything for him so very entitled and lazy on those points. But the now king’s trust very good.

Phillip cheated and was a racist old news and dead.

Queen was too soft at times, knew about Phillips ways and covered stuff up. But again old news and dead.

Harry well his currently disliked as is his Mrs. With all sorts of wild speculations already flying around them about boats and babies.

William people think his workshy and maybe cheated. Anything new?
Kate was waity Katie who maybe lets her husband cheat on her.

Annes a bad ass now old lady I don’t expect she’s done much to cause issues.

The rest I couldn’t even point them out in a line up. Unless people think they have dirt on the 3 wales kids but how much could they have possibly done wrong.

It was tongue in cheek, and totally made up by me based on information I'd been reading recently. Having said that, it might not be too far off the mark either!

I got that. I thought it was probably a very likely prediction. 👍

BasiliskStare · 29/10/2025 19:23

I think with all that has come out in Lownie's book anything A or S could write about might be taken with several pinches of salt so , honestly , as I said earlier - let them do it if they do. Personally I would stick A in a house on the Sandringham estate (privately owned ) and I wouldn't give up a crown property for him. If he wants to be near his daughters or they to him , sort it out yourselves.

I always assumed they would remarry after Prince Phillip and possibly The Queen had passed on. But events overtook them. I can’t imagine it being likely now.

Needspaceforlego · 29/10/2025 22:51

I thought they were getting ready to remarry around the time of Eugienes wedding. Then it wasn't long after that the Epstien stuff started to unravel.

Was Fergie not also at Harrys wedding?

CatrionaBalfour · 30/10/2025 06:17

She was front and centre at Harry's wedding. The Sussexes have always been very friendly with the Yorks. That's not to suggest that they knew anything that was going on, though. I think Meghan was friends with Eugenie.

Just to be clear, i don't think Sarah should be a consideration, she sleeps in Andrew's spare room as it is.

She sleeps in his spare wing! If he looses that style of living (& I truly hope he does), she won’t stick around.
