.... With the prospect of no more title, no charities, no free mansion?

How long before she leaves the ghastly ex to wallow alone in the pile of shit he's created?

I thought they were getting ready to remarry around the time of Eugienes wedding. Then it wasn't long after that the Epstien stuff started to unravel.

Was Fergie not also at Harrys wedding?

She was because I remember one of the bridesmaids (Robbie Williams daughter?) asking her if she was a princess. And she said, yes, if I remember correctly.

That was at Eugenie's wedding. Robbie Williams' daughter was one of her bridesmaids, not Meghan's.

So it was!

I have just Googled and SF did attend M&H's wedding.

It's interesting that a couple of papers (well online versions of) seem to be implying that the reason Andrew and Sarah wanted two properties is because they've fallen out. One even said they've fallen out "around the time he stopped using his DoY title".

They would be an interesting one to know the detail of. Was he digging in and she getting annoyed he was risking their daughter's titles? Or was she wanting to dig in and him not? Curious timing for a fall out when they've lived together so long.

Without the kudos of being the Duchess of York etc Ferguson is nothing, a nobody, an ex-wife, and that’s why she’s literally hung onto him all these years.
She’s exploited her royal connections to the nth degree, accepted huge sums of money from Epstein and other highly dubious characters via Andrew.
Now that’s gone and she’ll be grubbing around trying to find a replacement to fund her obscenely extravagant lifestyle, and presumably a house for herself and the corgis.
His name is mud now and that’s going to stick to her too.

Talltreesbythelake · 31/10/2025 10:00

I wonder who will get custody of the corgis. Will we ever find out?

Was corgi custody a clever move on her part? Not altruism…

From a news report this morning, below
How has she forged an independent life if she's been living on the royal Estate for decades?
-------
Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself," the source added. "She will continue to forge an independent life."

Another insider close to Ferguson echoed similar sentiments, saying she is focused on starting a new chapter on her own terms.

"She’s going to move forward independently," the source said.

Goosyloosy · 01/11/2025 06:22

She’ll be due her state pension next year. Maybe she can claim PIP to keep herself ticking over in the meantime.

TankFlyBossW4lk · 01/11/2025 06:30

Umy15r03lcha1 · 26/10/2025 22:14

Was about to mention that. She only owned it for 5 minutes. Where did she get the money to buy such an expensive place? Is she money laundering?

This is what I wonder about. SF is in a tricky position because it's not like she can get a job in admin somewhere, I guess. What do they do to earn? And earn so much? Obviously, there's the law breaking stuff for SF and her ex. But is the 4m all by ill gotten gains?

An independent life? Her whole life has been about living off rich men. It's been about greed and excess. I doubt she'll change now.

She’ll find a rich Arab or some other sucker to fund her, no doubt about that.

EleanorReally · 01/11/2025 06:49

what is to stop her moving with Andrew anyway
sounds tough for her

EleanorReally · 01/11/2025 06:50

i expect her daughters will support her

EleanorReally · 01/11/2025 06:52

andrew was the duke of york

That was the start of her fall from grace in the royal family years ago. A pap with a long lens caught her on a sun bed with a sucker. He was sucking her toes 🤢

jumpingthehighjump · 01/11/2025 06:55

I don't get the 'tough for her' bit

Just because her avenues of sponging off of other people and not paying bills are narrowed a bit, my sympathy is non existent.
She had this coming, it's all of her own doing
I hope she stops setting up charities and using all the money raised as expenses for herself
Her name is tainted so I doubt she can do that anymore

stillavid · 01/11/2025 07:00

I strongly suspect she will be fine - she seems very umm resilient!

Exactly this. She's the architect of her own misfortune. She could have had a very productive life, living in great comfort, with privilege and status and the cachet of a royal title.
I don't feel sorry for her at all.
Plus a person who is permanently in debt,l eaves others unpaid, usually ordinary people who can't afford it eg hairdressers, assistants etc.

billysboy · 01/11/2025 07:11

I think she has enabled Andrew and his vile behaviour for years
as Vile as they both are where were the royal protection officers in all of this ?

stillavid · 01/11/2025 07:18

I find the whole issue of the protection officers quite fascinating. I mean do they not report criminal or dubious behaviour up their command chain. Can someone with protection do literally whatever they want and the officer does nothing to stop them.

I also saw today in the telegraph a quote about how much the monarchy costs and the security estimated costs are astronomical - I can see why they are shrouded in so much secrecy.

billysboy · 01/11/2025 07:42

There needs to be some accountability from the protection officers and who and what they were reporting

Really? She's getting on a bit for that kind of thing. Not sure a rich Arab wants a late 60s wrinkly has-been 🥴

I think accountability is with the adults controlling their own behaviour.
