Andrew is just trying to negotiate the best deal that he can. I have just watched an interesting interview with Emily Mathis, she says that last Thursday William had a meeting with B&E to get them to put pressure on Andrew to leave RL or he would look into removing their Princess titles - Emily also said that the palace contacted the BBC and ITN news to tell them to be at Windsor at 8pm Thursday evening as there would be some interesting passing traffic, it seems the plan was for KC to visit Andrew on his way home from the airport after his visit to Rome but the BBC went a bit overboard and sent a load of journalists and a helicopter so the Palace got cold feet and cancelled the visit.

I don't think its a good look if KC gives into Andrew's demands.

If they remarried she'd be Princess Andrew. They don't use surnames and Prince/Princess titles at the same time.

Technically she'd be HRH Duchess of York as it's still technically his title, but they'd be known as Prince and Princess Andrew with no "of ...." used after.

If Andrew leaves royal Lodge they'll get a tenant in to take it over. There are always rich folks looking to live in the houses and apartments the crown estate leases out.

I think their names change with succession shifts, marriage titles etc.Wm was born Wales, then Cambridge, now he's Wales again.

The queen was duchess of Edinburgh when Charles and Anne were born, then queen when Andrew and Edward were born so Edinburgh was dropped.

All these made-up nonsense "titles" are completely irrelevant now (yes they may have had currency in the past). Old buildings and monuments yes, very interesting. All this nonsense about some humans being more worthy of admiration, deference or privilege than others due the accident of their birth, total tosh. (Same for skin colour, nationality or any other division).
