News banner from the Torygraph saying Andrew and Sarah are losing their titles. They will be ‘put into Abeyance’ Andrew also to lose the Order of the Garter. Sarah will be known as Sarah Ferguson, he retains ‘Prince’ as he is the son of HM QE2.

HRTFT but an important aspect of this for me at least is that in a lawless world of a loss of respect for the rule of law someone is demonstrating that actually yes, actions do have consequences. Andrew - that’s all he is now - is a nasty pervert who sold his country down the line, sexually predated on young girls the age of his daughters, lied, cheated, lied again, then lied some more, sold access to state properties and public figures, lied yet again (and that’s all I can be bothered to type out, there’s a lot, lot more): and now his chickens are starting to come home to roost. Whatever underhand - and they will be underhand because he had no legitimate means to earn all he’s amassed - dealings he had to become as disgustingly rich as he is will inevitably become at least partially known. He chose the wrong people to do badly by. He’s an arrogant, stupid, thick, entitled man who is too unintelligent to know his place in the world. Nasty piece of human.

Sorry, but this is bullshit.

If there was justice, he would be in jail.

As it is, he now hasn't got a load of meaningless, unearned titles. Just like you and I haven't. Except he's fabulously wealthy. How is that justice?

The Torygraph wouldn’t be going big on this story if they hadn’t been briefed by very good sources. Andrew obviously had this coming, but it’s a gentle slap on the wrist in comparison with what he has coming when William becomes King. By all accounts, William can’t stand his uncle & will be quite happy to throw him to the wolves.

This post is great. You make it sound as though when William is king he is going to send Andrew to the tower and order his head chopped off.

Your view of status is different to mine, which is not related to Royal Lodge, whatever that is.

I agree totally with @MrsLeonFarrell .You’re misunderstanding.

WeeGeeBored · 17/10/2025 21:46

Did anyone read the Lownie book? Full of hot tea on Andrew and Fergie. My favourite bit was the Lady Boys.

Great. They should have done it a long time ago.

Lol.
He failed at the army.
Failed in the arts.
He's probably gay and forced to marry.
And now he steals millions from the taxpayer and gets his taxpayer-funded staff to sort out a few charitable engagements for him so gullible fools think he's working.
Are you sure he's worth several hundred nurses, a thousand carers....

Edited

lol away. Did you never get anything wrong when you were young? Lol of course.

Edward and Sophie made their mistakes but they got their heads down and are trusted ambassadors for the RF.

Come back to me when you’re in your 80s!

Most people in their 80s have worked a lot harder in their lifetimes than the Royals have. The fact that they are easily able to carry out their duties well into their 80's demonstrates its a pretty easy life they lead.

Codyrhodesisaheel · 17/10/2025 21:50

HRTFT but I did wonder if a) there’s more scandal about to come out or b) whether this final resolution is something to do with Charles’ cancer diagnosis, possibly sorting out affairs before William ascends the throne. At least this way c3 is affording his brother some dignity (even if he doesn’t deserve it) because we all know that the second William ascends the throne Andrew will be given the boot unceremoniously and Harry will be full blown exiled.

I suspect parliament have got too much to do than push this through as an official act, hence the “I won’t use them line” but I think Andrew has tainted it so much now that I don’t think it can be passed to Louis, I think it needs to be rested for a generation or two.

I never used the word “justice”. Only little people like you and me are subject to justice…and paying tax and being accountable and paying for our privileges such as they are.

People like royalty, and heads of state, and heads of enormous organisations like churches and political parties and banks and tech companies and tech firms and (shall I go on?) don’t have to worry about justice being meted out to them. This is the closest they will get to it. That’s why he was and still is entitled: he’s going to be really, really pissed off that he’s the one who got caught when they’re all at it and escaping any form of reckoning. He’ll be finding all of this grossly unfair.

All I said was “chickens coming home to roost”. You’re a fool if you think any of them will ever see the inside of a court room let alone a prison (both of these are actually against the literal law, as it currently stands, as defendant / convictee).

I find this kind of post unfathomable.

The man was a dirty sleazeball yesterday and is a dirty sleazeball today.

"It removes him from any remaining status."

Anyone who believed this creep had any status yesterday isn't thinking for themselves and is beholden to the medieval royalist bullshit.

If the king were incapacitated he could step in that is why they added two more people a few years ago to try to offset any future power grabs from andrew etc we want him officially diminished and him giving it up voluntarily protects Harry because you can bet as soon as an act of parliament is passed saying they can remove titles people will be calling for the King to go against his own son and remove his title and I dont think Charles can do that

MasterBeth · 17/10/2025 21:47

littlebilliie · 17/10/2025 21:54

I imagine things will need to be in order, Andrew first and the rest of the grifters next

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/10/2025 21:57

Would not put it past Fergie to do a real tell all book on the royals, after all, she literally has nothing left to lose and is always short of cash

The thought of Sarah writing this hadn't occurred to me, @lifeonmars; I was thinking mainly of Andrew, but agree it can't be discounted

Of course, in talking about how this will have hurt Andrew, we can't know how it was put to him ... there's a world of difference between "you've been a disgrace so now 'this' is going to happen" and "the unwashed need to be thrown a bone, so how about such-and-such if I make it worth your while?"

Indianrollerbird · 17/10/2025 22:00

They need to take away his counsellor of state status, which I think requires Parliamentary action.

I wasn’t aware there was a competition. The
Duke of Kent had a military career of 20 years. He inherited his title at 6. He’s now 90 and yet to retire, even after a stroke 12 years ago.

The Duke of Gloucester was an architect but had to give that up when his elder brother died young. He’s 81 and his wife is 79.

I don’t know why you feel the need to be nasty about elderly people who could have walked away years ago!

OswaldCobblepot · 17/10/2025 22:03

For those of you that haven't read Entitled yet... it you have an Amazon Music subscription you get one free audio book per month. Use it or lose it!

What would he be in jail for though? He hasn't, as far as we are aware, committed a crime, however dodgy and distasteful his actions.

Giving up his titles and honours might seem insignificant for the average person, but for him, and in the circles in which he moves, it's an enormous and utterly shameful thing to have to do, which hopefully will at last make him realise the impact of his behaviour.

Apparently, yes.

https://middletemplar.org.uk/to-strip-or-not-to-strip-prince-harrys-titles/

(It’s about the other ‘spare’ but the legal principles are the same.)

Iirc the Danish Queen removed the titles in order to actually properly slim down the RF and reduce the numbers of people with HRH. It wasnt as some kind of punishment. I doubt Charles will do that, or William, because that would mean his own grandchildren will have to lose their right to a title. It shouldnt just be about Harry. There is an issue with the ' spare' children of the Royals leading an essentially pointless existence that only gets more and more meaningless as they get older. They need to do something about it instead of covering it up and then handwringing afterwards.

Well I haven't failed in two careers my parents got for me.
I'm married to the gender I'm attracted to.
And I don't have a millionaire lifestyle funded by the taxpayer.
You do realise that the 'work' they do (luxury overseas travel, photo-ops and balls etc) is all arranged by their staff?

Jenny Bond appears to loathe him. She seemed quite chirpy about the news 😂.

I also wonder about his Counsellor of State role. If it's removed (more formal process) who would be bumped up the list?

Didn’t she just. I was out earlier so just catching up so apologies if has been said as I’ve only read up to here, but I’ve said before that only the heir and his/her firstborn be a prince/princess, so in this scenario William and George, & then George’s firstborn as heir. No prince Harry, Princess Charlotte or Prince Louis etc.
