I have very strong views about the Royals especially Camilla, however I am genuinely interested and want to find out more as to why Meghan Markle seems to be so hated. I'm asking in case there is something I have missed. I do read up as much as I can and watch shows from 'both sides' of the argument, but there is nothing that I have seen so far that warrants the level of sheer hatred geared towards her - I don't mean on here necessarily, but on social media in general. She cannot do ANYTHING without a swarm of people descending on her like vampires to tear her apart. She isn't an adulteress, she's not a paedophile or sex offender, she isn't lazy, she seems to genuinely care about people in need.....and from what has been shown, she genuinely loves Harry and is just trying to make a life with him. He left the UK to start a life away from a nest of some awful people, his mother died when he was 12, his uncle is a sex offender, there is racism and a rigid set of rules within that family where he won't be king anyway so what is wrong with him leaving? I'm not starting this to start an argument I am genuninely interested in why she is so rabidly disliked and why? Maybe I will start to feel differently if there is more of a reason but at the moment I cannot see one?

-provable lies - where he was when told of the Queen Mother's death
-insults to people previously in positions of authority (matron)
-breach of privacy of someone over whom he had authority ('older woman' with whom he lost virginity was a stable girl - who was actually in charge here?)
-breach of privacy of family member - who talks about family members' genitals?

Frankly, I wouldn't use Harry's book as proof of anything unless there was other independent evidence as well

I don't hate Meghan at all. She is the gift that keeps on giving. When someone comes across as arrogant and self important people are going to enjoy watching them make a fool of themselves. When they prove themselves to be a stranger to the truth and a bully then people will take great delight in their downfall. That woman has no integrity and i very much dislike her but don't hate her.

MM’s show is absolute shite! They were paid millions to do good work and they did absolute crap, with subscribers money, we pay for decent programmes not idiots using it as a glorifying pedestal for themselves! Imagine how many decent programmes could have been made with that money! I really hope they got very little of the money for their godawful efforts!

Provable lies about where he was when his great grandmother died? Proven by the BBC from contemporary reporting. He was on holiday, skiing with his dad and brother, not at school as he recorded in his book.

Charles never said he wanted to be a tampon. In his call (illegally intercepted), he said it would be “just his luck to be a tampon”, ie a negative. This stupid story is brought up constantly.

Maybe it’s more the pair of them need taking down a peg or two, be humbled a bit. In real life we would all probably find it hard to stomach a neighbour couple who were very privileged but complained a lot and came across as a bit up themselves. There’d be a thread on here about how to deal with the couple next door who think they are the big I am. Advice would be to give them a wide berth or some pithy come backs.

I am pretty sure though that whatever stardust they had five year’s ago is thinning out year by year.

Exactly, the person I quoted said it like it was truth MM was the one in tears (not that I care about either TBF). She gave it all the ‘laying on the floor in tears’ garbage …. Bet she’d practiced that for many hours in the mirror, but really, even when my parents died, I had miscarriages and other life altering things happened o never lay on the floor crying … embellished ‘our truth’ bollocks I think !

I have a neighbour at the back of me who I have known now for 25 years as we have children the same age, and our lives are a little bit intertwined for various reasons.She is everything I am not keen on. I wont derail the thread by detail but she is the most ridiculous social climbing attention seeking woman imaginable! I don't wish her and her family a downfall at all. I am just faintly amused by it and swerve her whenever possible! I don't give her head space from one month to the next if I can avoid her.
These people are easily avoided even Meghan!

Can you give me your source, my interpretation was that she was told by the royal household was stopping her children getting titles which would have had an impact on security the child received. Think only human to think that decision was based on his heritage as it was never said about Williams children any of them.

I agree, they are easily avoided. I haven’t actually seen or heard Harry for a long time. I watch nothing he is on as I really can’t stomach him. I’ve seen a couple of photos of Meghan online at that fashion show but not watched or read about it. Very easy to avoid if you want to.

Funnily enough though, I have started to watch Suits and she’s really not that bad in it. It’s far from ‘her’ show (I’m on S3) but I can’t see anything to criticise her about on it.
