Meghan has just popped a video clip of herself in the back of a limo with her feet up travelling through the streets of Paris. Is this rather insensitive given the way her MIL died or is it perfectly normal to post such stuff?

Being a Prince and Princess will open lots of doors.
I think the parents have plans....as someone said on another thread, they've called the daughter Princess Lilibet Diana for a reason.
It ain't to fit in at a California high school! 😂

Royal links open lots of doors. But without those, Archie And Lili's titles are basically Disney titles. Yes, they're the grandchildren of a King, but by the time they're adults, unless there's a big turnaround, their links to the royal family will be pretty remote. It's not like they'll be seen waving from the Buck Palace balcony or travelling in a carriage on Trooping. They'll basically be C list celebrity children, at best.

Plenty of Princes and Princesses live in America. It's not that big a deal in and of itself.

Are they connected to the UK monarchy and Diana, Queen of Hearts.
It'll be, shall we say, used to whatever advantage it can, knowing their parents.

I know, @BemusedAmerican . It's the wilful ignorance, isn't it? Arrogance, ignorance and entitlement. Extraordinary.

I went briefly insane last year and bought a candle recommended by Nigel Slater. It was embarrassingly expensive, but it smelled amazing and lasted for absolutely ages. For some reason it wasn’t strong, but it was subtle but lingering. This thread is making me want another one. The description is”Splinters of crimson, gold and olibanum, heady and holy perfume of altar candles, luxurious wake of the senses and perfume-burners where amber splutters : under the nave of a cathedral, the jubilant choir and the holy scents rise into the souls” 🤣

What is this candle please ^^ ?
I think I need it!! I've been looking for an churcy insense type candle.

I don't rate Aldi candles, too weak and insipid in my expereinece.

TBH although they get lots of hate I always go back to Yankee candles for sheer strength.

I have been on the look out for a mint candle as I adore mint, they are hard to find. But I think mint cardomon is an odd combination? Fresh with warm spicy?

I'd be intereested in reviews of MMs candle if anyone buys it?
Where is that poster who went to huge lengths to import MMs wine just because she loved MM? I need her to buy the candle!

It’s been pointed out on Reddit, that during the podcast, Harry evades the answer about giving kids phones- he answers that he is cautious about giving them social media but it’s important to give kids access to phones.

Sounds like the kids have their own phones. I’m guessing for when Meg n Harry are away on their big trips. Wow. 6 and 4 years old. How sad.

Nothing has sold out from the new launch. Hopefully this means she's got the supply issues sorted out and match demand.

I’ve just read the candle bit in his Christmas chronicles and was tempted by the candles he describes! I don’t know if I could justify it but I do trust Nige! Was it called Carmelite? Was it heavenly??

I think The White Company do a Mint candle .

@CurlewKate Cire Trudon spoils you for other candles - and they are just so pretty too!

All I knew was that they, like many people chose not to reveal their children’s faces.

Many, probably most, celebrities choose not to reveal their children at all.

The Sussexes frequently feature theirs on social media, which is odd given their public stance on the dangers it poses to children. A creepy heart emoji plonked over the face does not cancel that out.

A really good example of this is Jennifer Garner with her ‘pretend cooking show’ on Instagram.

She rarely if ever shows the children but she shows herself cooking for them all the time - back to school breakfast, after school snacks etc - she manages to create a very warm family feel without ever showing the kids.

The one I had was Spiritus Sanctii. It was glorious. They’ve modernised their website a bit, which is a shame. I can’t, in all honesty, say it was worth the money, because no candle could possibly be worth that, but it was the best candle I have ever met. And it made me incredibly happy.

This has reminded me of the thread by the woman selling her house who thought a prospective buyer had stolen her very expensive Diptyche candle. Did she ever get it back?

Ah, no - at least I don't think so. I thought it was going to be another Dyson hairdryer scenario.

I adore Nigel. Totally off topic but he posted a recipe one Sunday for shortbread and I made it and it was a total disaster - I commented on his instagram saying I thought the recipe was wrong - he was surprised as said it had been double checked. Someone else commented and he then realised they had omitted an ingredient and he was so nice about it. Totally accountable and apologetic - made me like him even more.

Nigel Slater is so lovely. He did a brilliant programme several years ago about Lebanese food and he just really nailed how fabulous their food is. Dh and I love Lebanon and we were so pleased to see it being shown in a positive light for a change.

And ots a phone not social media access? My nephew is 6 and now had iPad assigned to him to use in school and? This is the world they come into one thay is technologically advanced. Its not the tools itself to blame but how its used. Technology isnt a bad thing, neither os them having a phone. It's.how they use it, what its used for that matters.

Surely Jennifer Garner's children are nearly grown now?
