Meghan has just popped a video clip of herself in the back of a limo with her feet up travelling through the streets of Paris. Is this rather insensitive given the way her MIL died or is it perfectly normal to post such stuff?

Well yes if she wants to make serious money. She hasn’t stuck at anything so far. Can you say if
any of her ventures have been successful to the point where they would support her in her lifestyle, without relying on the capital that she already has? She will need an income stream of many millions for that. Is she Kardashian or Paltrow level successful in anything? They have got where they are through sticking to something and seeing it through. Not by flitting from one thing to the next

I am really not being nasty but us Meghan not a bit old to be starting out as a fashion designer / muse influencer ?

There are lots of ladies on Instagram who are aiming for the 40 plus market. I follow a few. You can tell they work really hard at what they do. It’s been proven M doesn’t persevere at anything. I don’t follow her on Instagram but have seen some of the things she’s shared and it’s really poor, even if you were judging her as an amateur but she must have the financial resources to get support and advice.
Anyway, all that happened this weekend is she managed herself a trip to Paris to see one fashion show. There were lots of events going on in Paris this weekend but all she was invited to was one show and an after party. She didn’t even manage to be photographed with any celebrities except AW (which is a big deal, I admit) even though Paris was full of celebrities last weekend. She had to fill up her instagram video with her makeup artist and hairdresser.

I wish her luck, her determination to succeed is admirable.

But I just feel she is lost. She needs to figure out who she is, what her passions are and go from there. She's mid 40s and still seems to be trying on all the dressing up outfits to decide which she likes best.

Once she actually finds her authentic self, then she can monetize her passions. All this shopping and changing will not maker her happy, and very few people are jack of all trades master of all trades.

I follow a couple of people on instagram, they post something everyday, sometimes more. You have to have something that interests a certain demographic, very expensive high fashion would possibly limit followers. She would need to be more high street to attract a bigger audience.

I thought Harry respected his grandmother, she explicitly said they couldn't use their titles for financial gain.
His respect for her seems somewhat fluid.

The ironic thing is that being within the working arm of the British royal family does allow you authentically to wear all the different hats she's been trying on. You can be fashion icon, humanitarian, earthy people person, traditional family values mum, sporty have-a-go fun person, get involved in society changing research, be a serious states-person...it's all there for the taking, with the best wardrobes and public relations money can buy. It's authentic, because the status of working prince/princess demands you wear all these hats - even if some of it isn't exactly "you" or "your bag", you smile on and get on with it, because you are not there for yourself - you are there for the people you are serving, and the service itself makes what you do a reality.

Good point @Indianrollerbird all without the need to be good at any of them in order to make money out of them.

She and Harry may be deliriously happy. But they give the impression that they are not quite, not content. That contentment would come from figuring out what actually makes them happy.

Why not "Meghan Markle"? Surely this is proof perfect that she is monetising the royal family? Are the Sussexes trying to become the equivalent of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor with an alternative court in Europe? Handy hop back on the Eurostar if Harry wants to fulfill his half in, half out desire?

And she still can’t get her title right !

It wasn't British tabloids (whom Diana regularly briefed and courted) who were following Diana in Paris that night. And Meghan's photos are all attributed to Backgrid, who are dial-a-paps. She just doesn't know when to keep her stupid mouth shut.

Yeessss, save that a lot of the chat is about the child SA campaign of 2022, and how Meghan, the champion of children's safety online, could align herself with the brand after that scandal. I'm sure Balenciaga would prefer everyone forgot about that episode. And she's completely blown the wow factor of her appearance with the completely unnecessary and crass drive through the Paris reel.

I'll be interested to see of she wears Balenciaga to collect her pay to play award this week.

I think she was just cock-a-hoop to be invited somewhere so glam and high-profile that she absolutely had to share it. But in a low-key, who me? way on her stories. I think Haz is probs quite on board with the whole spectacle, as the pap photographs and the French accents shouting her name play into the 'remember how vulnerable we are, viz my mother' vibe.

October is a big month for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are set to be presented with Project Healthy Minds' Humanitarians of the Year Awards on October 9. The couple will receive this honor at the non-profit's third annual World Mental Health Day Gala which helps to support their mission to connect over 10 million Americans with mental health services over the next decade.
Prince Harry and Meghan will receive the award in recognition of their efforts to build a safer digital world for families and youth, s well as their contributions to advancing mental wellbeing.

So M is using her title commercially, something she was specifically asked not to by QEII. I have read that only parliament can revoke the Sussex title. Is that true? It doesn’t make sense that the monarch has the power to award something but not take it back.

That’s a pathetic clapback. It doesn’t really matter if she was in a metre , a mile or more away from the tunnel. I think filming herself whizzing around Paris at night in the back of a car is still insensitive and I am sure upsetting for both Harry and William that she has done this. Crass in the extreme.
