I think you misunderstand people. If someone - anyone! - goes on record as saying “people associate me with beauty and fashion”, but are frequently judged by people, entirely independently of each other, to be dressed appallingly or in wrinkled clothes or clothes that don’t fit or clothes that highlight features which don’t exist…it’s just funny. And ridiculous and mendacious.
If someone - anyone - goes on record as saying they stand for protecting young people from the negative influences of social media, and then uses their own children to garner publicity on their own social media…it’s ridiculous and mendacious.
And so on and so forth with humanitarianism and compassion and all the things, when there are examples aplenty of the person doing all they things they publicly decry, for money.
What do you expect the world to do: say nothing? Not apply entry-level critical thinking because “bullying” (another example of hypocrisy)? Be kind?
People aren’t stupid. They know what they’re seeing when it’s flung at them time and time again.
75m people voted for Trump, many on the basis that he stood for the white working classes. Many others knew he would take their votes and dump them - which is exactly what’s he’s done, is doing and will continue to do. The former category just didn’t see it, or saw it and wanted to believe in it. The latter category saw it for what it was from the outset and said as much and voted accordingly. Same with Meghan: some people saw/recognised her from the outset for exactly what she is. Others didn’t see, or refused to see and still don’t want to see. The first lot are just waiting patiently for the second lot to get with the programme. (Or don’t, up to you, Meghan Markle isn’t an important or consequential person other than to herself, her family and the many people who make money off of her.)
