I think he's going cap in hand to ask for money. I really hope he's not got the nerve to ask to come back!

Must be so difficult for Charles as to what topics of conversation he can have with him. The trust must be gone totally. If my son had sold stories on me, I’m not sure I could ever feel comfortable sharing anything with him again. Harry showed Charles who he was, so I hope he doesn’t make the mistake of trusting him.

I hope he had someone in the room with him. I wouldn't talk to him on my own if I was KC.

Branleuse · 10/09/2025 20:12

Its probably that bitch megn markles fault.
Lady di would be turning in her grave

Harry contacted the press?

Yeah right? The tin foils can be thick when it's about Harry. Press were already anticipating the visit and waiting. No need for anyone to alert the press.

basinbasin · 10/09/2025 20:13

@Branleuse get help

Maybe some beef wellington

I don't understand the beef Wellington references ?

It must be very painful for both of them.
I strongly believe that our children owe us nothing and that we have to reflect on the mistakes we made as parents if our adult children turn away from us. As a parent I will always welcome my children into my life, always forgive them, and always reflect on my contribution to the people they become (good or bad).

I hope Charles is doing some of this reflection.

Perhaps reflecting what lies Harry has told various media outlets over the past 5 years, and how much privacy he has invaded and shamelessly shared.
Food for thought, indeed.

I think it's from Meghan's hostessing show.
She sells jam spread I think.

Its alluding to the woman in Australia who deliberately poisoned her ex's family with beef wellington, killing three of them.

LinedOverLatte · 10/09/2025 20:07

I wonder if it’s because KC is more ill than we think, and this is a reconciliation and goodbye type of chat?

Or how ill another senior royal is?

Oh I see, thanks

NautilusLionfish · 10/09/2025 20:16

I hope they just walked towards each other and had a really long hug. Then just talked, laughed, May be a few tears. I hope Charl understands how much he is missing of his grandkids, and Harry how much he is missing of his father's last years. And I hope this is the first of many meetings and that they will be filled with love. They are after all, father and son

Butteredtoast55 · 10/09/2025 20:17

I think speculating on how long KC has left to live (which Harry started in the BBC interview) is ghoulish and in really poor taste. Can we just not do that?

MouldyCandy · 10/09/2025 20:18

In the photos in The Sun newspaper, Haz really does look upset as he was leaving. I very much doubt KC3 shared his medical prognosis so perhaps more likely Haz was given some other bad news like noone will ever coutsey to Megs.

Agree that's private information and not for us to speculation on someone's cancer.

William has behaved impeccably? Didn’t he punch him in the face?

No, Harry punched several people in the face, including the Foo Fighterd drummer. William pushed Harry onto a dog bowl.

basinbasin · 10/09/2025 20:19

Because Charles has never lied to his family or has his misdeeds spread all over the tabloids 🙄.

Wonder if Meghan will follow suit and pay her father a visit 🪽 🐷 🪽

Oh dear, that's a whole other story...

William is the prick. I don't care what went before, life is short and blood is thicker than water. All W will have is Anne, Eddie and Andy really until his kids grow up. So the future King, not the current one is the person to focus on now.

I am glad father and son met. Hope things have thawed a bit between them. Camilla is the bogey here though.

What a mad dysfunctional lot they all are in that gilded cage. At least H got out, and despite his big mouth has a lot of integrity for leaving the madhouse IMO. The rest of them continue to be well.... a bit odd to say the least of it.

Totally agree - I don’t think W or Catherine (Kate) appeared to welcome Meghan at all.

There’s a picture of C and M watching W and H play polo just after M had Archie. As a sister in law, you’d hope C would have chatted but she looked seriously frosty in all the pictures. M then got a media bashing for holding Archie in a way that looked awkward. You’d think C would’ve helped her integrate rather than come a cropper.

I also think the late Queen was spiteful not to agree to a half-in half-out approach for H and M. It could’ve been done - overseas ambassador or something.

Harry got the shitty end of the stick all round and I’m not surprised he threw a strop. It’ll probably all repeat in a few decade with George and Louis (already labeled as the cheeky one).

The Crown?

Succession?

Whatever happened to Baby Jane?

Edited

The Wagatha Christie Case?

MadeInGrimsby · 10/09/2025 20:24

Maybe Harry needed to rush off to apply some Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. He finds it useful, I hear.

Xmasbows · 10/09/2025 20:25

The Daily Mail has been softening towards H&M in recent times I think, and there was talk of a peace summit over the summer. This is a carefully orchestrated reconciliation. I don’t believe for a minute he’s after money.

He’s the hottest thing off the press right now because of the sheer volume of click bait he generates. He probably gets more press than all of the Royals put together.

That's because he's unpredictable, controversial and loves to share gossip. Although being caught on a stranger's Ring doorbell also got attention.

pestowithwalnuts · 10/09/2025 20:28

I can't think that William and Kate will be arranging to meet The Ginger Whinge over a cuppa.
The Sussexes have created too much damage

MrsLeonFarrell · 10/09/2025 20:28

I hope they are able to reconcile as father and son. Anything we say though is all speculation and confirmation bias and hopefully remains so. I don't want to see details leaked to the press.

wordler · 10/09/2025 20:29

I like a bit of royal gossip as evidenced by my participation on here but Harry having a 45 minute meeting with his father should absolutely not have been the lead story on the Six. Someone at the BBC has lost their marbles. We are inching towards if not quite WW3 a serious prolonged European conflict which the UK will be heavily involved in.
That's an absolutely bonkers editorial decision!
