I think he's going cap in hand to ask for money. I really hope he's not got the nerve to ask to come back!

I hope they had a sausage sandwich.

MadeInGrimsby · 10/09/2025 20:29

Shame Anne wasn't available. I do like her in that hat with the big red plume.

Theresabatinmykitchen · 10/09/2025 20:30

He probably gets more press than all of the Royals put together

Only because of his awful behaviour, not because of his scintillating and charismatic personality or good deeds. Andrew probably gets more column inches than other royals I don’t think it’s an indicator of being more popular than other royals by any stretch of the imagination and the polls certainly back that up.

The Daily Mail has been softening towards H&M in recent times I think, and there was talk of a peace summit over the summer. This is a carefully orchestrated reconciliation. I don’t believe for a minute he’s after money.

He’s the hottest thing off the press right now because of the sheer volume of click bait he generates. He probably gets more press than all of the Royals put together.

The DM loves the drama because they earn a fortune from clickbait articles and H&M's "sources" are happy to leak to the press

Don't!! The pain, the anguish! 😦 😭 🌭!
Has anyone suffered More? 😩

That's because he's unpredictable, controversial and loves to share gossip. Although being caught on a stranger's Ring doorbell also got attention.

Gawd I'd forgotten about the ring camera doorbell footage. 😁 At least he had security detail and a big black car to keep him safe this time.

I like a bit of royal gossip as evidenced by my participation on here but Harry having a 45 minute meeting with his father should absolutely not have been the lead story on the Six. Someone at the BBC has lost their marbles. We are inching towards if not quite WW3 a serious prolonged European conflict which the UK will be heavily involved in.
That's an absolutely bonkers editorial decision!

Some might say it's to test the waters of the public.

William is the prick. I don't care what went before, life is short and blood is thicker than water. All W will have is Anne, Eddie and Andy really until his kids grow up. So the future King, not the current one is the person to focus on now.

I am glad father and son met. Hope things have thawed a bit between them. Camilla is the bogey here though.

What a mad dysfunctional lot they all are in that gilded cage. At least H got out, and despite his big mouth has a lot of integrity for leaving the madhouse IMO. The rest of them continue to be well.... a bit odd to say the least of it.

William had to do an engagement the day after the Oprah interview with press shouting are you racist ? He looked understandably upset and yet he’s in the wrong? Since them we have found out that most of stuff Megan stated were lies like no titles being given to their children etc etc. so I don’t think he’s the prick here

Thank god. Don't take the Home Office to court because you want 24/7 armed protection from the taxpayers, then stroll around Chiswick ringing random doorbells looking for Rupert and Peregrine.

Slowly drip H&M back into our everyday lives then before you know it they are cutting ribbons and attending functions as full royals.

The only thing i wonder about this is what on earth Harry has to say about his treatment of Kate. I think the two brothers are spoilt and bound to clash - but the POW in the crossfire and being called a racist was bloody awful. KC adores Kate and he should be fucking appalled and hauling Harry over the coals. As for William I really think there is no going back there. If it was my spouse being treated like this by my sibling? No way, for the rest of my life.

Totally agree

LidlAmaretto · 10/09/2025 20:35

I mean, they are father and son who have been estranged for many years. If they want to reconcile, surely that's 1. up to them and no one else and 2. a good thing? I mean Charles spent quite a lot of time moaning about his own parents and criticised his own upbringing. Not to mention having a decades long affair and airing his dirty linen in public about that.
I doubt Harry will be doing Royal duties again but again, if he does, so what? We hand Charles a ton of money he doesn't need to distribute around his family for Royal 'duties'. William seems to barely bother doing any unless Harry's in town anyway, so if he gives some to Harry then that's up to him too. No one has to go and see him, but it seems from the non Royal visits Harry's been doing that plenty do. As for William, he is under no obligation to see or speak to Harry again, so he doesn't have to. But if Charles does want to see him, then good for them.

jamnpancakes · 10/09/2025 20:38

It was always expected that this was the day Harry would meet Charles as Charles is down in London for his treatment. I'm sure the press were on alert.

justasking111 · 10/09/2025 20:40

Harry should see his sick father. Then go back to California. Meghan has no interest in the UK.

basinbasin · 10/09/2025 20:41

So what if they do come & cut a few ribbons? Perhaps Will wants to share the load.

wiminny · 10/09/2025 20:41

Justanotherdramalama · 10/09/2025 20:32

Some might say it's to test the waters of the public.

Royal nod to the press I'd say. But I do agree about testing public opinion. You'd have to have a heart of stone not to hope that it will lead to better things. William might have to take that puss off his face and act like he's the future King with diplomatic skills that he might hone by being the peacemaker in this family situation, but I won't hold my breath.

I'd be very sorry and a little annoyed if W refuses any rapprochement especially if (hopefully) there is a thawing of relations between father and son. He knows how awful serious illness is, and it's time to mend things, otherwise his intransigence will come across as juvenile stubbornness, which is not what is required of a future King and HOS.

Those who might say, "but, but, what about H and M, and what they did, and this and that" are far too invested in gossip IMV. Time for maturity and to see the bigger picture. And soon.

basinbasin · 10/09/2025 20:42

Exactly, Harry is just copying his parents 😆

OhNoNotSusan · 10/09/2025 18:31

i hope they patted Harry down before allowing him access Wink

👆exactly this. I hope he pissed off back to America and stays away. He’s here under sufferance trying to wheedle his way back into the public conscience.
He’s a toxic nonentity as is his grifter wife.

basinbasin · 10/09/2025 20:44

He’s a toxic nonentity as is his grifter wife.

I don't see him as any different to the rest of them, he's arguably a little bit more dynamic.

giddyingup · 10/09/2025 20:46

wiminny · 10/09/2025 19:47

He is the future King and has public responsibilities to lead the country's future trajectory as Head of State. If he persists in shutting off his only sibling and refuses to even meet with him, then yes - to me he is the epitome of prick.

And au contraire re my experience of a broken family. I have seen it all believe me, and I know how awful it is. But I still hold out hope and doors are always open.

But I still hold out hope and doors are always open.

Ah so you’re the bully in your family

Xmasbows · 10/09/2025 20:50

I think the BBC was right to lead with this article. People are getting scared about all the conflict in the world. We have seen now, as a country we actually benefit from the Royal Family. KC is having to step up diplomatic efforts with Trump and the commonwealth.

What the country needs now is for the RF to remember their duty to this country. William needs to get over himself, step up and reconcile with Harry. We need H&M to come back into the fold and use what little star power they have left to help foster good USA/UK relations.

People now need a visibly, united Royal Family that’s getting out there doing whatever they can to keep people happy, motivated and getting involved with diplomacy.

KC hasn’t the energy for this much longer sadly. We need Harry and Wills to step up now.

My DH is estranged from one of his brothers because of the way he and SIL behaved towards me many years ago . I have told him he can reconcile if he wants but he is adamant that he wants nothing to do with them .
I see where W is coming from .

He's after giving a huge sum to charity.

If he wants to come back, the palace will put a spin on it and he'll be back.
The public can have all the opinions they want. Charles's PR will make it work. I doubt he'd want to come back though. California seems a much nicer life and Megan doesn't want to return to the UK. Wouldn't blame her tbh. Who would swap sunshine for grey and bleak skies.
