I’d sadly doubt that Meghan would approve that move, the children, as ever, in crappy family situations can be used as pawns, Meghan, many times over the years, has shown herself as a bully and a narcissist, so to ‘give up’ a potential ‘weapon’ like the children would be something I’m sure she’d prefer not to do without a huge gain for her. The first meeting with Pa wouldn’t be enough IMO
i do hope though, that if the King is likely to decline soon due to his cancer issues, and sadly I think this may be the case, but hope I’m wrong, I do hope Harry has enough spine to at least let his kids have quality time with Charles

Actually I think she might, they have nothing left in the states, as they have failed at everything, it doesn’t appear they have the a list friends she craved either, so becoming royal again would be the way forward for her, so Harry slowly ingratiating himself, then the kids, would pave the way for her to leverage it again, all she needs to do is in future years accompany them to some big events

so yeah, I agree they will be used as pawns, but I think they will use the kids to try to get back in with the royals so they become more relevant.

All H wants is the tax payer to pay for his family 24h/365dayd a year his/their security. He will then feel he is being treated as Royal which he thinks he deserves.

I'm glad they met on a personal level, a family estrangement is always hurtful. It may be the start of a thawing of personal relations.

I'm not seeing it as anything very substantial though. Harry was in and out in 55 mins, so the f2f was likely on just over 30mins. Camilla was there on Charles' insistence, so he seems to be setting ground rules.

IMO (and that's all it is) Harry feels lost without being a working Royal. That's why he keeps doing all these faux Royal events - donating, charity visits, going to Ukraine. They're a faint replica of his previous life. He may want to move back to the UK, but I can't see Meghan ever wanting to. She is living her dream - the big "Hollywood" faux Italianate mansion, Santa Barbara - it's what she probably dreamed of as a child. If she won't come back then Harry won't. And good for them - I don't want them to divorce, and I've been repeatedly reassured they are living their best life, are thriving and happier away from this salty island.

Edit to add - they may thaw relations personally, but The Crown comes first and Harry's burnt that particular bridge.

Agree @MrsFinkelstein - for all he slagged it off in his temper tantrums, Harry doesn't know anything other than that way of life, and keeps trying to replicate it.

Being realistic, @chunkybear, it wouldn't particularly be 'quality time' for children to spend time with a grandfather they hardly know. Quality time comes from having built a relationship.

That’s the second “surprise” visit this year. He went there in April and I think he said something about not forgetting the wounded soldiers of Ukraine that time as well. Did he go back to jog his memory? Has he done anything about the wounded soldiers in Ukraine since then?
