I think he's going cap in hand to ask for money. I really hope he's not got the nerve to ask to come back!

I guess it’s a father and son thing. However, after all the slagging off that the Sussex’s took part it, the verified lies, backstabbing etc - what’s his game? Trying to stay relevant ? Trying to merch his relationship to the royal family ? There can be no half in half out. Wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him.

Why would you think that. Harry literally just gave away money to charities on the visit. There is no reason to think he is going to ask Charles for money and he doesn't seem to particularly need any.

ThePoshUns · 11/09/2025 19:27

He gave the money last year, he just decided to tell everyone about it on this visit.

Weepixie · 11/09/2025 19:36

CoffeeCantata · 11/09/2025 16:12

I just cannot bear the thought of Harry returning to the UK in any capacity.

I hope he doesn’t plan to return, ever.
I hope KC has not seen or spoken with him without witnesses and preferably lawyers present.
I hope KC keeps him at arm’s length.

Go home Harry.

I think I feel as deeply as you do about what he’s done and there are times when we say things in order to convey the depth of our feelings whilst knowing we just may be considered over the top - but we still say it anyway.

I doubt the money came out of his own pocket, and that giving the money regardless of where it came from wouldn’t have been advantageous to him in some way. For sure there will be a story behind it.

Feel free to say it

Doesn't mean to say everyone agrees with you
Which they obviously don't

Wildefish · 11/09/2025 20:11

Unfortunately I fear that Charles is not well and wants to reconcile while he is still able. Just my opinion.

Weepixie · 11/09/2025 20:12

I will if it ever comes up again.

Im well aware of that.

I do wonder if it's the Royal Foundation money that he took when that was split - supposedly paid into the private/American company, Travylist. Maybe the Charity Commission finally caught up with him, and it's an effective repayment.

That was some £150k or so IIRC and the Charity Commission conceded that once vanished into Travalyst it was beyond their scrutiny. I suspect that particular ship has long sailed but while I'd still be interested to know where the sunken treasure lies I don't think that 'X' is on this map.

I do think there will be some shaggy dog story attached to this donation and if there is no doubt it'll be exposed in due course.

Safe to say I'm not anticipating my hat and trimmings on a plate 😁

My2cents1975 · 11/09/2025 20:36

Winners and Losers...IMHO!

Winners
Netflix: First look deal on reconciliation material once reconciliation inevitably fails
Media: Christmas for clickbait. All the leaks from Meredith that they have room to print. Let the pounds roll in.
H&M: Temper tantrumming to victory and gathering more material to assault H's family for dollars. Laissez les bon temps rouler!

Losers
Camilla: When hubs fails to defend you...oh well there's always a billionaire's yacht in the Mediterranean.
W&C: Loyalty? How old-fashioned. The monarch does not care! Too bad too sad for holding the line.
KC3: The biggest loser of all. H will inevitably sell the reconciliation conversations based on his varying recollections which may or may not be totally false. W won't forgive KC3's enabling of H. So KC3 will likely end up with two estranged sons.
UK: Racist, salty island? Oh no, it was the media that said that! The diplomatic shenanigans that a newly emboldened H will get up to will have no repercussions whatsoever on the UK...said the fairytale residents...

Honourable Mention
Those who said optics would win over substance got it right. Congrats!

Fancy actually wishing for a family estrangement to continue? I think you are taking this a little far CoffeeCantata.

Most expats visit their home country once or twice a year.

And I think Prince Harry had good reason to feel annoyed when his Uncle Andrew was protected and allowed to carry on his HIHO activities; some of them illegal allegedly, and he and his wife were not!

That family estrangement is going to be permanent.

Some things are unforgivable and all trust is gone forever.

Go back home, Harry! There is nothing for you here.

A hell of a lot do, actually!

CathyorClaire · 11/09/2025 20:46

C3 has now accommodated his darling boy.

However any ground gained by said darling boy will IMO be cut from under him when W gets the gig.

Weepixie · 10/09/2025 18:19

I hope there is never a return for him as a working Royal but I sincerely hope father and son can get some peace of heart with each other going forward.

That.

We focus a lot on Harry but the King is at fault here…he certainly was dishonest enough in front of his son and with late Diana to bring this onto him.
Yes Harry wasn’t right but everyone wants to be heard and seen. I also hope they get a peaceful reconciliation. I wish for him to be reintroduced as a royal because he is. What a strong message that would be. Of course he could never have anything big at all to care and either his wife.

Family for the wins ❤️

Wouldn’t bet on it.

As a brother, yeah…rightfully piss* ** and the scenario where he isn’t close to his brother bla-bla-bla…but as King, he will have to try and mend to not appear cold, vindicative and vengeful which won’t serve the crown. He might end up being disliked more than his dad if he isn’t careful…

CathyorClaire · 11/09/2025 20:56

You do know 'royalty' is a made up thing?

I do agree. I come back again and again to the things Meghan Markle said in that interview with Oprah Winfrey. I feel very strongly about that, and will continue to remind people how damaging and vindictive that interview was.

I don’t honestly care about her silly flower sprinkles or whether she sticks hearts over her kids’ faces.

prelovedusername · 11/09/2025 14:33

It’s precisely BECAUSE husbands and wives talk to each other that Harry’s promise means nothing.

It might well be a made up story, let’s hope.

I look forward to trying to identify the " the Queen's body will travel by train" planted misinformation as it is leaked to Hello/PageSix/ Jack Royston in the next few weeks.

CathyorClaire · 11/09/2025 21:22

He's setting his rather sparse stall out already.

I don't think snubbing his clown of a bro will figure heavily against his lack of work ethic.

I'm surprised so many think he'll be either a popular monarch or a mould breaking one.

CathyorClaire · 11/09/2025 21:32

mold

I don't think W is any kind of under cover fungus buster 😁

prelovedusername · 11/09/2025 21:52

William has actually been ayt and abayt royalling of late but Harry has gobbled up all the headlines.
