Personally I am shocked but not the slightest bit surprised about what I have read that is in the book.

Especially the view that the RF - meaning the late Queen- and the government of the day and successive governments colluded and continue to collude in sealing files about his activities as Trade Envoy.

I’m hoping after Andrew and Sarah’s shady dealings are uncovered that someone also does a deep dive on Harry’s especially his charity skimming shenanigans!

I would love to see a deep dive on Harold's 'businesses'.

Sadly while admirable French and German attempts to investigate have failed, UK press still lie inexplicably supine.

so far we have Andrew having sex a lot 🤮 and mentions of Harry and Meghan.
obviously posters will wish to discuss the information as it appears.
im certainly not going to tell posters to ignore information that is interesting to them because other posters think they shouldn’t discuss anything that isn’t about Andrew or Sarah !

now this is interesting timing! A rather obvious pr puff piece about Sarah! , makes you wonder what is coming out that needs a distraction!

The Sussex’s are mentioned in the published excerpts so not unusual that they crop up in the discussion. Would be odd to just gloss over the fact that Harry punched his Uncle Andrew in the face wouldn’t it?

I struggled to read that article, particularly the part where he insisted on having a massage in his bedroom, despite the masseuse not wanting to. It was very interesting to read that W has no time for him because of how he treated Kate at some point. However the idea of a nephew getting into fisticuffs with his uncle is just crazy. You do wonder what Andrew said to provoke such a reaction but it does make you think about Harry’s temper.

I too would love to see an Andrew Lownie style deep dive into H's finances - but I don't think we will see one. He said in an interview I saw , he just does not have the connections or mix in their circles such that he feels he could write a book worth reading. I wish someone else would.

That said I reckon he will have gone as far as he can on PA's / Fergie's finances & that Is what I am interested to see. Even the couldn't not be hidden bits like , the selling of Sunninghill , the Ski Lodge where he was tardy in paying up - the £15k which Epstein paid off for Fergie - have all been in the public domain. I'd be disappointed if AL hasn't found out more - or at the least pointed to where the questions haven't been answered

I have always felt that they sealed the file on Andrew's time as a trade envoy because the government and civil service would be embarrassed if his behaviour, and the fact he was allowed to stay as an envoy, for quite a few years came to light.

Whilst no one is a perfect parent I hesistate to blame the late Queen and Philip for Andrew's behaviour. We all know parents with problem children and families where one child is difficult and the rest are fine. At Andrew's age I place the blame squarely and solely on his shoulders.

Fascinating that Harry is so quick to put the record straight over a punch allegedly thrown at the last popular royal but happy to vilify his closer family members (reigning monarch always excepted) with lies and half truths.

I totally agree with this. I think they indulged him. The Government, the civil service, his family and it was all sealed up because of that
The most I have heard is, he took golf trips to the best golf courses in the world on the end of every trade envoy visit costing the taxpayers a lot.

And in the past there has been a lot of talk about who he took with him and who he visited but nothing concrete hence the sealing

A friend of a friend served with Andrew in the Falklands and 'tosser' was the word he used for him as well. He expected everyone to stand on ceremony even in the middle of a war.

I would have thought the lawyers would have gone through the book with a fine tooth comb .
It will be interesting to see if anyone sues the writer.

@jeffgoldblum Thank you for the rebuttal of the lurid allegations about Meghan’s alleged past. IMO they are just nasty & shit stirring. Mind you Harry’s rebuttal has come on quicker than expected.

Looking forward to the next extracts. Hopefully concentrating on Andrew’s financial shenanigans.
