Well .. I’d like to know where you got the notion ?! 😉🤣

Need the laughing emoji back!

SeagullFreeZone · 02/08/2025 17:02

Lownie says he made multiple attempts to seek information on Andrew’s years as trade envoy from Buckingham Palace and the government- the files seem to have vanished.

BasiliskStare · 02/08/2025 17:03

@FenellaFeldman - Believe me , I would if I could , but I've checked and I'm not CIC FOI requests 😂

mauvaiseherbe · 02/08/2025 17:04

Well. Someone needs to get on that trail....
"Open The Envoy Files" could be an interesting campaign.

I don’t think the idea Charles can’t evict Andrew due to a lease sort of misses Charles did this to Harry- Harry had a lease for Frogmore and had pre-paid the rent - it was still taken from Harry & Meghan. That said, there was slightly better optics as H&M had already bought a house in California so wasn’t like Andrew with nowhere else to go. I could see Andrew refusing to house himself, so having a long running drama for Charles about which friend /which businessman his brother was staying with now, causing more and more embarrassment. Might be easier all round to put a roof over his head in a relatively quiet location and hope he is happy to just play golf and get drunk without being a “story” again.

elessar · 02/08/2025 17:12

@ThatAvidViewerthe comparisons between Harry and Andrew are interesting.

I know it’s common to say “well Harry’s pretty bad but he’s not a patch on Andrew”, but the reality is, we don’t know that - we just know a lot more bad things about Andrew. But the more that comes out about Harry, the worse he appears.

He certainly doesn’t appear to have a greater respect for women, according to his own words and actions from Spare - and he’s definitely very entitled, arrogant and obnoxious in behaviour.

In some ways, Harry’s infatuation with Meghan is probably a saving grace - as much as she seems to bring out the worst of his bitterness and resentment, it does seem to keep his behaviour in check to some degree.

To be clear I’m not suggesting Harry has done the awful things that Andrew has done (though we don’t know for sure- after all the behaviour he’s admitted to in Spare makes him look terrible and those are the things he thinks show him in a good light), more that I don’t think he’s particularly got any greater moral character than him, from what we’ve seen.

FenellaFeldman · 02/08/2025 17:12

I'm not defending Andrew whatsoever (shudders) but I think H&M had moved to start a new life in the USA so the property was empty.
I'm sure it would be the dearest wish of KC that Andrew would do similar (although sadly he's going nowhere). Then he could end the lease.

doglover90 · 02/08/2025 17:14

It does seem a bit odd, given how much power the monarch has, that Charles apparently can't evict Andrew. It makes me wonder what Andrew has on the rest of the family.

I think though (I may be misremembering) that Andrew had not long renewed the lease with the Queen before she passed - and that it was a long lease.

I don’t think the H&M situation was at all similar to- I imagine it was a very different sort of agreement, with probably a much shorter term.

Andrew took out a 75 year lease on Royal Lodge in 2003, so it still has about 50 years to run. By contrast, Harry's lease was short-term and was simply not renewed when it expired. Very different scenarios.

Yes, that's how I understand it. Andrew renewed with the late Queen before her death. A long lease. H&M had a shorter lease, probably with a view to upscaling at some point.

And yet the Firm is still trying to get him back in. Bunch of degenerates the lot of them.

Reading that and noting the lack of empathy, I seriously wonder if he is neuro diverse and has additional learning difficulties.

Well baseless speculation is free, but of the two brothers there’s more hearsay that William is a piece of work rather than Harry.

SeagullFreeZone · 02/08/2025 17:28

His financial affairs and dealings wouid certainly be worthy of scrutiny.

The whole house of cards will come crashing down at some point. Merely a question of when and who gets to be the historical scapegoat.

Where?
harry has told us in his own words about his behaviour, ive yet to see proof of William attacking his bodyguards or slapping foo fighter drummers , teasing and bullying disabled matrons , exposing the woman he lost his virginity too!

Well, until William writes a scathing autobiography criticising all his family, including Harry, sharing gossip and invading privacy, I think that Harry currently has the worse reputation.

Yes, I think we know all about Harry...from Harry himself. Perhaps a bit too much todger detail 🤮 🤢
