I think those are good points. One "insider" wrote that KC was very concerned about the access Andy and Fergie had to the late Queen, and how they were trying to manipulate her as her health was failing. I think A&F are a pair of shysters and certainly wanted a cast iron lease on Royal Lodge, among other things.

I’ve heard it , I’ve seen it ! , normally when they reach andrews age they grow out of it! ( or reign it in!) , times have indeed changed but apparently for Andrew he has stayed emotionally in a time when he was the centre of these circles, everyone else has moved on , he apparently hasn’t!

To be fair, what we might have seen in public is the result of Andrew being reined in, the reality of how bad he could have been has been spared because efforts were put in place to at least limit his shit behaviour to private. I do remember there being grumblings after Diana died that Harry would have so much money available to him via the trust fund from his mother. There was an article in one of the broadsheets that effectively said this was a potential future problem for Charles / William as “spares” have always been controlled via money, that this wouldn’t work for someone who had such a large amount of their own. It was referenced that money had been used to control Andrew and Margaret.

This is an old and interesting article from 15 years ago, confirms what the book says about his Trade envoy role, Andrew trying to get classified information from the Serious Fraud office about a corruption scandal between the Saudis and BAE systems. He had no business whatsoever being involved.

Even this was not enough to precipitate him being fired as a Trade Envoy.

The book is called “The Yorks” but the extract so far is just about Andrew. Obviously he’s the big name, but would I be right in expecting revelations about Sarah as well? Really hope there’s no dirt on the girls. (But to be fair, growing up in that house can’t have been the most emotionally healthy).
