As per the DM, we are told Meg is using Fairwinds Estate winery for her rose. Sounds nice.
But a Reddit user has discovered, that Fairwinds winery is just a brand under the umbrella of Wine gift shop. They do corporate gifts and print on demand. Oh Meg, as ever

Apologies if this has already been posted. It's suggesting the rose wine is a blend of 3 different grapes and ' it is not known what price Meghan will charge for her new rosé but Fairwinds sells its rosé for $36 a bottle.'

www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14856965/Meghan-Markle-new-rose-californian-winery-revealed.html

This is quite normal - it’s the “old world” wine-making method where regions produce wines that are a blend of different grape varieties grown there. So, a French Bordeaux wine is made with a blend of the juice from different grapes from the Bordeaux region. Red wines commonly will include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and grapes. Bordeaux white wines are normally a blend of Semillion, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadet grapes.

“New World” wine styles tend to just be the one varietal grape, and referred to by grape type rather than region - so, a Sauvignon Blanc, or a Shiraz etc. Blended wines are still very common though around the world - either for reasons of tradition (like a champagne style sparkling wine), taste or cost

I think there is a full stop gone AWOL between “pour” and “Rose”. So “one more sleep until the pour. Rose joins the party tomorrow”. Makes sense but sloppy proof reading if so 🤷‍♀️

There's an emoji after the word pour .

Last time I checked, an emoji is not punctuation. 🤣

That freakish eye for detail yet again…

smilesy · 30/06/2025 20:19

Are those “As Ever” flower sprinkles on the ice? 😆

Weepixie · 30/06/2025 20:22

Are those “As Ever” flower sprinkles on the ice?😆

Yes but someone further up thought they were Quality Street wrappers. 🤣

The picture is awful. The bottle completely pales into insignificance when up against the flowers and the huge, heavy ice bucket.

Duh ! Of course, everyone knows you don't have plain ice cubes.
Repeat after me 'I must elevate my ice cubes at every opportunity'

CathyorClaire · 30/06/2025 20:34

She’s a hustler straight out of a Dickens novel.

Not a Dicken's character but...Vanity Fair's Becky Sharp is worth a second look.

Surely people can disagree without using such nasty language?

CathyorClaire · 30/06/2025 20:54

Meghan appeals to that certain demographic, I do feel a bit of pity for them as they will spend money that they probably don’t have much of on her mass produced rubbish, but then a fool and their money are soon parted as they say

TBF I think there have now been enough exposés of the nature and provenance of the product for people to make up their own minds.

Touched a nerve with you clearly! no backtracking from me on the demographic I think Meghan’s rabid super fans are, tough if you don’t like it 🤷🏻‍♀️ though your abusive language directed personally at me is unpleasant but not surprising coming from you. Funny it’s me you call out for the “type” Meghan attracts yet it’s tumbleweed from you with regards to the poster who was calling regular posters on here a certain “type”, strange that.

Weepixie · 30/06/2025 21:26

@BigWillyLittleTodger

In a nutshell! Well said.

IcedPurple · 30/06/2025 19:58

There is no 'comms team'. The whole project - the out of focus pictures, the illegible labels, the contradictory branding - is all the duchess' work.

We can only hope so, IcedPurple, because I daren't think what kind of comms/PR people would produce this nonsense - unless of course they've completely run out of deecent people who'll work for them, photographers included

I hadn't realised, and don't especially care, that the launch is on Diana's birthday, but given the way Meghan's been known to use Harry's late mum for her own ends I do have to wonder what kind of mind games are going on there

Ohpleeeease · 30/06/2025 22:04

Well I missed the deleted post but I can hazard a guess at its contents. I say again, it’s disingenuous to start talking about “types” unless you have an agenda that really doesn’t belong here.

Vespanest · 30/06/2025 22:43

Usually it's one hymm sheet on Twitter, but not over this. Is the messaging now that it is white labelled produce but so what other celebs do it and she never hid the fact. Or these are Meghans products/inspiration that are then produced by third parties which are of a higher standard than the companies generally produce and under Meghans instruction and quality control. At present it really is all over the place. The only common theme is a frenzy excitement.

I didn’t report to you actually, I quoted your post so everyone can see exactly the type of abusive language you use, and anyway the moderators clearly agreed with whoever reported it as it was removed. Your aggression, name calling and hounding of posters on this board is out of hand, you really need to stop being so aggressive and stop the name calling, it does you and your argument no favours, seriously you need to get a grip and behave in a civilised adult manner, please read the talk guidelines that have been provided to you and adhere to them. Frankly I’m amazed you haven’t received a permanent ban.

BemusedAmerican · 30/06/2025 23:47

Btw, is this an organic, pesticide-free wine? Is the spread organic? Is the honey raw & infiltered?

Are the Montecito grounds pesticide free? Are they planted with GMO-free seeds? Are they native plants or least drought- resistant, low water varietals?

I enjoy a nice rosé, but I'm not Meghan's target demographic. Tbh the label would put me off buying it - it's just not a great label - too bare and looks cheap. It's clearly her own design as a graphic designer would have done it better. It's her choice, so fair enough, just doesn't say "high class" to me.

I see what she's aiming for, but it's missed the mark design wise for me.

I'm sure it will sell out - it has to, and it will be made to if required.

TheAutumnCrow · 30/06/2025 23:59

Just one more sleep 'til the pour [emoji]
Rosé joins the party tomorrow. Cheers!

Oh god, is it supposed to be some sort of poetry, like that abysmal book The Bench?

It really is the shitshow that keeps on giving.

It's like the frenzy of MLM - whooping at banal new products and "eek huns, inbox me for a new bizniz opportunity" 🙄

Weepixie · 01/07/2025 03:58

Lol more like touched your nerve since my post was deleted

I don’t know who reported your post but I’d put money on it not being BigWillyLittleTodger, they’d have been more inclined to let it stand and show you up for who you are. But I can well understand someone else reporting it rather than have the language you used left for others to come across.

Weepixie · 01/07/2025 04:01

Yes. It just pales into insignificance in almost every picture we see of it.

I'm definitely no wine connoisseur, I endured drinking expensive wine with my wine buff friend , then 'came out' and told her I actually only like Lambrusco 🤣 . To me the more expensive the wine, the more elaborate the label. Plain labels to me = cheap.

Ohpleeeease · 01/07/2025 06:17

I put rosé in the same category as Prosecco and alcopops. It would have to be really good to be worth drinking.
