H&M Fathers Day video

So they are showing faces now, how long until they are including them in everything, showing them fully.
I feel like this is a bit desperate now. It was their last card to play, the children. They’re trying anything now for attention, what do they have left, showing private videos of them after all the criticism about the Wales children being on display.
One thing about them is they always surprise me.

Lines?

To tell the truth to Meghan

The root of racism is still going strong.

Why do you guys dissect every little thing this woman does? You guys are obsessed! Get a grip already…

🥱 none believes that nonsense anymore

BunnyLake · 16/06/2025 17:39

I’m glad to say that my interest/curiosity in them is dwindling sufficiently that I actually thought this thread title was about H&M the store. 😊

I said.. each to their own actually. Their choice for both couples.

Yet your posts reek of criticism of William and Catherine, we can all see it plain as day.

Also, we know from Meghan and Harry’s trip to the school in Harlem that they ask people coming in contact with them to sign NDAs prohibiting from saying anything negative, and requiring any statement, even if positive, to be pre-vetted before use.

So it doesn’t sound like Meghan wants people to tell the truth. It suggests she can’t handle the truth, in fact.

I think, to Meghan (and indeed, Harry), the truth means endless gushing praise for them. I honestly don’t think that she believes that anyone should ever say a single negative thing about them 🤷‍♀️

It is the new narrative being deployed...snide remarks with a big dose of whataboutism.

It is quite the choice to describe two short videos of the Wales kids, one for a milestone anniversary and another celebrating that their mom had completed cancer treatment as "schmalzy" and videos of the Sussex kids as "sweet" and "cute".

But, as ever, the super supporters keep exploring new lows.

Just thought I would repost this, sums up certain posters perfectly.

Do you think the clothes featured will be very ‘British’ ie the kind of things cousin Charlotte might be seen wearing?

I think it will be exactly that. Betty cosplaying British royal child with HRH Princess Charlotte as the template.

Vespanest · 16/06/2025 18:11

the hiring of the crown publicist has hardened the rumours of a Diana special or a serialisation of spare. TBH it would be fun just to see the casting for spare, Camilla representation would be savage. The biggest invasion of all the childrens of the Wales and sussexes privacy was Netflix, spare and Oprah it set everything in motion since. Archie especially will have to deal with very private information that is all over the internet.

MaturingCheeseball · 16/06/2025 18:15

To me the hiring of The Crown publicist just screams gloves off (if they were ever off). I do not foresee anything other than very antagonistic behaviour from H&M.

FenellaFeldman · 16/06/2025 16:56

I don't think it's all on her. In all honesty Harry seems to enjoy the fame and attention as well. I doubt he ever wanted to live a non royal life.

Maybe, who knows. I see Harry is in his element sometimes and other times not.
He has been raised as a royal and it’s in his veins. I do wish M had been more patient bear they both could have been very much more than they are now

Leaving aside the events surrounding Diana, surely it'll just be comedy? How would you play Sausagegate and Dogbowlgate and keep a straight face? And how on Earth would they do the Elizabeth Arden scene?

And would any reputable British actor with serious ambitions want to have anything to do with it?

If the rumours prove to be true, I imagine ballistic wouldn't begin to describe William's reaction.

’Lilibet’s closet’ has already been registered as a domain name if I am correct.

I agree. He seems to love going on TV, doing interviews, doing speeches, sharing his thoughts. He's not private, nor reserved, nor circumspect. I've seen him walk along to events and there's a dozen cameras flashing away, he thrives on it, grinning and waving. It's his life, I suppose, and the current quest for celebrity status obviously replaces what he'd lost.

AtIusvue · 16/06/2025 18:47

Meg genuinely had the mannerisms of Amanda from Amandaland, when she was cringing and playing with her hair, when discussing the twerking video.

Thedom · 16/06/2025 18:55

AtIusvue · 16/06/2025 17:04

OMFG

Shes still at it.

She’s asked in the podcast is there anything you would do differently (about how people perceive her) - she says she would ask people to ‘tell the truth’ !!!!!!!

https://www.vanityfair.com/style/story/meghan-markle-emma-grede-podcast-clip

Well, that statement may well come back to haunt her !

Uricon2 · 16/06/2025 18:56

Re the twerking video, she apparently says

"Meghan said, "It's also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there's still a whole life — a real, authentic, fun life — that's happening behind the scenes"

If you say so.

She was raised much more comfortably than she sometimes makes out IMO but surely there must be a scintilla of financial nous from being an "ordinary" person for most of her life that makes her wonder where the money for this lifestyle is going to come from longterm, if the madcap schemes fail. Harry not so much, I think he's clueless or possibly has some vague notion that after it all, Pa would provide if the chips were down, which is also fairly clueless.

My2cents1975 · 16/06/2025 18:56

What in the PR is happening?

Twerking alienates the tradwife segment, the ones would buy British children's clothing as they would dress their children with these clothes. Those who are into public twerking look to Rihanna's kids as their style inspiration and not Nara Smith's kids.

The story was dying down, but just like the bridesmaid cry-gate fiasco, M just has to drag twerk-gate back into the spotlight. And mindlessly repeat her version of events and with each repetition fewer and fewer people believe M as they think the lady doth protest too much.

Thedom · 16/06/2025 19:05

The host mentions they had to look at the video 10 times before they were sure it was Harry and Meghan, not exactly a glowing endorsement 😀.

It also confirms the idea the video only hit the numbers it did because people viewed it over and over again in disbelief and trying to figure out if it was a pillow or a baby bump.

Spectre8 · 16/06/2025 19:07

Mylovelygreendress · 16/06/2025 15:23

Oh bless you @Spectre8 , you really try hard .

Do you have kids? Are you restricting their tech use and having sm accounts? Have you been having those conversations with them about am and trolling and hateful comments? Or if they arent old enough will you be planning too? Becuase if you do have kids and have been or will be then what's so wrong about what I said?

Dont you think you would be a hypocrite teaching kids not to make horrible or snarky comments online whilst you yourself do it?

Also I think “why are you criticising H&M, what about W&K’s video??” doesn’t make much sense since, iirc, W&K’s video was fairly widely criticised at the time (including on MN) for being twee/schmaltzy/cringe/overly staged. So it’s not the case that people only criticise what H&M do.

Another one who needs to get a grip. What other people talk about is of no concern to you unless you decide to make it so. Why don’t you find something to do that makes you less disagreeable?

you first my love x
