So they are showing faces now, how long until they are including them in everything, showing them fully.
I feel like this is a bit desperate now. It was their last card to play, the children. They’re trying anything now for attention, what do they have left, showing private videos of them after all the criticism about the Wales children being on display.
One thing about them is they always surprise me.

The 80 staff thing must be utter bollocks. But didn’t she make some claim about 80+ crew being around when she was filming WLM? It’s nonsense, there’s absolutely no way a production like that would need a crew that large. I think it’s just pure grandiosity on Meghan’s behalf to make what she’s doing seem far bigger than it is.

I know nothing about tv filming. But AI/online search says it’s between 5-10 for a cookery show.

So no idea how the hell she gets 80. Unless it’s all assistants to assistants. That’s all coming out her Netflix budget so that’s just wasteful spending and less in her pocket.

There’s method in (some of) her madness. Previous internet photos of Meghan Markle’s feet were not kind. Unsurprisingly she doesn’t want them seen. There have been a lot of feet photos in recent months which are much more flattering. I suppose she hopes that these will eventually replace the ugly ones.

She seems to have a thing about bare feet. Harry is often photographed with bare feet and so are the children. I think it's to make the point that she is free and easy, a Cali girl who lives with no restrictions and doesn't wear tights. Ever.

Just catching up. I have no idea why my comment about her feet touched such a nerve. It certainly wasn’t bitchy. I said I “thought” her feet were dirty but when I zoomed in it appeared that it was a shadow. So I didn’t actually say her feet “were dirty”. No idea why it was taken as such a personal affront to Meghan. It was what the photo appeared to show. So not a criticism. Although I had forgotten she was sensitive about her feet so maybe this was why there was a disproportionate reaction from a supporter 🤷‍♀️. My feet would certainly be dirty if I posted a photo like that because I never wear shoes inside or outside in the garden in the summer 😆

At the time of the engagement a semi-friend of mine said, "She's an actress". I took it to mean she was in a different walk of life from the usual royal brides and I immediately thought to defend her, MM, because Grace Kelly made the transition when I was young. She might not have been hugely happy all the time, but she became, and stayed, Princess Grace of Monaco.

I defended MM for a long time. Looking back at the last few years, I think it's fair to say that she's an actress playing 'role of the moment'.

Snow has poor customer reviews as reported by media outlets, so is odd that the premium brand positioning of the product in advertising, is then fulfilled by such a sub-standard business partner.

Snow does not seem to be the type of business that does a long-term license deal or offers salaried roles to clients. It is far more likely that M pays to play, i.e. pays upfront for each product run. Snow then uses the money to manufacture and ship the product. Snow then takes its profit and returns whatever profit is left over to M.

From that money, M still needs to pay the marketing, advertising and PR costs. So, an even heavier loss!

I wonder how the SS are feeling about all these bare feet, they called The Wales children feral because they were running about with no shoes or socks on.

I don't think for one moment W&C are in any form of competition with Montecito, but the idea of them cackling evilly "Let slip the puppies of war!" has amused me.

Indoors, maybe - but I'd be surprised if Meghan barefoot much outside - it would ruin the pedi!

I'm sceptical re the stuff she spouts about being a free, barefoot, ripped jeans kind of girl. I don't buy that Meghan is really into the natural world. Her manicured garden in Montecito isn't really the same thing! It just all strikes me as a pose, partly trying to ape the RF and partly to create the right image for her As Ever products. And boy, do the fans swallow it whole!

She talked in the Netflix show about how she met Kate and William when she was barefoot. It was used as an example of the contradiction between her casualness (ripped jeans, barefoot, she hugged them), and their formality/how uptight they are.

I agree - it's outrageous, but there's the concept of 'reassuringly expensive'. Whatever generic tat is being sold by As Ever, its OTT packaging is the main point. I think Meghan even made a point of this - patronisingly telling customers they could use the packaging for storing love letters, or for putting wildflowers in on their bedside tables.

From my research on Celebitchy, it's totally working. They LOVE it! They cannot get enough of the boxing (unboxing these products is a major event for them and worth videoing - God help us) and some of them confess to not having much disposable income but claim to be saving up for As Ever products.

It's so nauseating as to be disturbing, really. These people must be very needy and gullible. They have bought right into what Meghan is doing both actually and metaphorically. And all her antics, as discussed above, are calculated to please these fans.

I remember that and all the hoo-ha about the dreadful stuffy royals and how uncomfortable it was for Meghan because she hadn't appreciated that the formality extended to behind closed doors (another failure to communicate on Harry's part, if so).
Some people felt that they really wouldn't welcome someone who is practically a stranger hugging them and prancing around barefoot and, at the end of the day, this is the future king and queen. Personally, I don't think it's the breach of formality and protocol that made W&K wary and stand-offish, I just don't think they liked her very much and that's a variable that M can't comprehend.
