H&M Fathers Day video

So they are showing faces now, how long until they are including them in everything, showing them fully.
I feel like this is a bit desperate now. It was their last card to play, the children. They’re trying anything now for attention, what do they have left, showing private videos of them after all the criticism about the Wales children being on display.
One thing about them is they always surprise me.

Their videos mostly have a resolution similar to CCTV footage.

HonoriaBulstrode · 16/06/2025 13:25

To be fair, the Wales children were photographed long before they were old enough to give consent.

Photographed, not filmed going about their daily lives in their own home. I don't think the Wales children have ever been photographed inside their home for public consumption. Oh, just once, I think, when a young George met Barack Obama. The family groups are taken at Balmoral or other royal residence, not their home.

I thought the risk of having your children’s face on show was that with emerging advanced AI it could be used for CA images? I always assumed that was one of the main reasons people didn’t and therefore sane risk if it’s old photos?

Is CA Criminal Activity? I am aware that images are used for vile purposes. I was just trying to work out the initials.

slinkiemalinkiey · 16/06/2025 13:41

It strays far from that Jane Pauley interview and their " view through the lens of a parent" with Harry showing the shape of a house roof as a place this is where you must protect your children.

Kellywiththelegs · 16/06/2025 13:50

I don’t know why posters use the fact that because the Prince and Princess of Wales post a limited amount of official pictures of their children that it’s perfectly acceptable for Harry and Meghan to release photos of their kids in the bath etc, Archie and Lily have no official role now or in the future unlike the Wales children, there is absolutely nothing to prepare them for as they will have no role in any official capacity representing the United Kingdom. There is absolutely no reason we ever have to hear or see anything of Archie and Lily, ever. I find it disgusting that A and L are being prepped to being used as a conduit for Meghan’s commission for whatever tat she is hoiking this week. Meghan is at her level though just like all the other Influencers using their children to get cash, gross, and with H and M it’s even worse because at least Influencers aren’t condemning social media and its harms on children such as their involvement with the Parents Network, the pair of them are utter utter hypocrites.

Child abuse

The videos of their kids are years old. The photos of the children when older are of their backs. Presumably for their own security.

I thought it was a nice video.

Were the Wales kids critiqued? I didn’t realise. I saw the usual comments about George being too serious and Louis being the cheeky one which I completely disregard as quite frankly, who cares about the personalities of children unless they are the parents of those children.

What difference does it make? Anyone who would want to harm the kids in person nows what they look like. We all do.

TheSecondMrsCampbellBlack · 16/06/2025 13:56

I just watched it and think it's one of the nicest things they've released and I am not a fan of H&M at all.

I still think it's extreme hypocrisy on their part, showing the children at all, given how much they've denigrated social media and kids being on it.

Mymanyellow · 16/06/2025 13:59

They called her Lilibet so they can tell her what to do. ‘Sit down Lilibet and eat your dinner’ ‘ don’t run Lilibet walk nicely’ couldn’t do that to the original owner of the name could they?

slinkiemalinkiey · 16/06/2025 14:21

To add it is lovely to see Harry enjoying his children.

The root of racism is still going strong.

Why do you guys dissect every little thing this woman does? You guys are obsessed! Get a grip already…

Another one who needs to get a grip. What other people talk about is of no concern to you unless you decide to make it so. Why don’t you find something to do that makes you less disagreeable?

HonoriaBulstrode · 16/06/2025 14:31

Yes, I think he'd be much happier if he lived a private life as a SAHD.

My2cents1975 · 16/06/2025 14:31

New PR: Not a great start. Father's Day posts are early morning for a reason. Post was far too late to gain traction on the East Coast/Midwest so you've lost more than half the country.

A "global" team wanting to manage PR across international time zones should be capable of managing across domestic US time zones.

RandyRedHumpback · 16/06/2025 14:36

According to the Vintage Read, their new PR is the same woman who handled PR for Netflix when the Crown was lambasted by Judi Dench for making up storylines about Charles' and QEII's relationship. I find it very interesting that they have hired someone known as a shill for writers of royal fiction.

ThePoshUns · 16/06/2025 14:45

Yes all seemed a bit of an afterthought.

H is a notable writer of royal fiction whose recollections often vary from reality, so in that context, she is a suitable hire.

Per Spare: H was alone at Eton when he got a call Queen Mother died

Reality as documented by Swiss/UK/US and other global media: H was skiing in Switzerland with King Pa and W, on Easter break complete with a first day photocall, when the Queen Mother died. H flew back to the UK with King Pa and W.

So, in the fictional version H got the country wrong, the location wrong, the people he was surrounded by wrong, etc. But not a word of apology or contrition...as long as his lies sold and he made money.

angelinawasrobbed · 16/06/2025 14:51

Maybe they just think their kids are wonderful and adorable and want to show them off?

it may not be wise, but it’s human

HonoriaBulstrode · 16/06/2025 14:54

And the date wrong. I knew straight away that it was nonsense, because I remember that the QM died at Easter weekend, so Harry wouldn't have been at school. He was probably confusing it with Princess Margaret's death, but minimal fact checking, or just askng someone else who was around at the time, would have shown up the mistake.

Oh I know. But stop confusing the truth with his truth, hater! 😉

RandyRedHumpback · 16/06/2025 15:00

Anyway, the montage of Harry and Archie was "cute". So nice of Archie to teach Harry to read.

AtIusvue · 16/06/2025 15:07

Think I’ve figured out why the kids are always in their pjs.

She gets up with the kids in the morning/breakfast but then the nanny takes over for the rest of the day. That’s why so many pj pics, it’s the only time of the day to get snap happy.

Do you actually know what they said about social media being harmful? Its not sharing a few pics or videos its about children themselves having social media accounts and using them that is harmful. That kids do it because if all your friends have for example a tiktok accout and talking about things on it then they will feel left out and they want to feel included. That they are via these sm platforms exposed to all the trolling comments we all see and then can end up being victims of said nasty trolls themselves.

What parent isn't concerned about sm and tech and how many of you make decisions about when they can have access or create accounts or want to see what they are doing on these platforms to ensure its safe...yet you still share pictures and videos of your family moments. The two can be true you can share some family moments but still be concerned about children using social media platforms.

And they also said they wanted to control what images and videos are put out in the media that's what privacy meant to them it didn't mean hide and never see us again. They are sharing content as and when they want to, how they want to and not having paps taking pictures or harassing their kids. Given he woukd of experienced that growing up so what if he doesn't want his kids to be harassed in that way nor does William I assume want that for his kids.
