So they are showing faces now, how long until they are including them in everything, showing them fully.
I feel like this is a bit desperate now. It was their last card to play, the children. They’re trying anything now for attention, what do they have left, showing private videos of them after all the criticism about the Wales children being on display.
One thing about them is they always surprise me.

So only well educated and grown up people do those things? What a load of nonsense. Going to the theatre, art exhibitions, etc is not for everyone.

My friend is well educated, grown up and very wealthy doesn't like the theatre, ballet or art exhibitions. She enjoys going to music events though not opera or classical concerts. She enjoys other types of music. She enjoys lots of other things. I wouldnt judge her for it or think less of her.

I'm very happy for your friend, but I'm guessing she is not, nor does she aspire to be, a high-profile public figure with cultural influence?

Meghan does. She want us to believe she's worth listening to on all sorts of subjects. But I don't think she knows much about anything in the world of the arts (or science, come to that), and I judge her for it.

I think some of the bumbling and humility came from the mistakes he made with Diana, which really hurt his public profile, for years and years, decades really. In the long term, it's often the most painful experiences that have the potential to become the making of us.

I agree - and of course, the horrible leaking of the very private call with Camilla. He's been through his own hell and learned from his experiences, so good for him.

Anyone paying Best part of £9 for 12 lemon and ginger tea bags needs their head read. Fortnum is cheaper and more stylish.

People are free to spend their money how they like why are then saying they need their head read? Why dont list all the things you buy and then we can judge you and tell you that you need your head read.

She is already public figure though and quite well known so 💁‍♀️

Lots of people dont know much about the arts they have no interest in it, if you want to be judgemental of people like that fine but it doesn't make you any better or more superior because you do enjoy those things.

On Twitter they are claiming over 20000 orders due to invoice numbers. If these are in order the Honey that was promised which was sent prior to the drop were on 6000 which according to the same logic would indicate the first drop was under 7k orders before sell out.

Do those invoice numbers actually mean anything though? As they clearly aren't working on product supply and stock control, there are aeons of available time to fudge them.

Another soaking wet squib. Restock my derriere.

AtIusvue · 20/06/2025 18:36

She also put out a video at 8.42am saying all the sprinkles have nearly sold out- buy them soon. It’s nearly two hours later and they still haven’t sold out.

So it’s all smoke and mirrors when it comes to how much stock they have/sold etc.

MrsLeonFarrell · 20/06/2025 18:42

Some things have sold out but not the sprinkles.

Wildbird12 · 20/06/2025 18:49

I looked at the Instagram ad - the photo is pretty but the way the goods appear is very amateurish.

AtIusvue · 20/06/2025 18:53

It’s been mentioned the photos this time around don’t look as professional as the last set. Someone’s been at it with the iPhone

But didn't she major in theatre at University? Then she became an actress and even became patron of the National Theatre

Seems a bit odd to have no interest in it at all unless it was just a vehicle for fame.

HiRen · 20/06/2025 19:03

The wine is a dead giveaway.

When Cameron Diaz and Kylie and Brangelina did theirs (always rose, always aimed at women, utterly saturated market and they didn’t divide opinion like Meghan does), there were months and years of trailing about provenance and the location of the vineyards, personal appearances at tastings, carefully selected publications to advertise in blah blah. MM’s is blatant bandwagonning: sees someone making money doing xyz, she will also do it. It’s an out and out money grab, profiteering off of a time-sensitive celebrity status. Merching, you could call it. Give ‘em any ole shite, quickly, before they move on.

The only new idea was the flower sprinkles, and she herself and alone tanked that by intimating she’s so over them <eyeroll with mild exasperation, or was it profoundly felt joy, who can tell the difference with her>, to the extent she even puts them on scrambled eggs (as if). Nobody on God’s green earth wants dried flowers on scrambled eggs. What a thing to say if you want to elevate flower sprinkles. It was a mediocre-to-nice idea, which she shat on.

Uricon2 · 20/06/2025 19:06

All of that @HiRen but especially this Nobody on God’s green earth wants dried flowers on scrambled eggs.

The late Queen gave her the very prestigious patronage of the National Theatre, mistakenly believing Meghan was interested. Meghan showed no desire to perform as anything other than the attractive woman. No provincial theatre, no challenging roles, nothing unglamorous.

Nagginthenag · 20/06/2025 19:11

😂😂😂😂😂😂. If I was spending that much money on teabags I'd be expecting some rare Himalayan herb with hand harvested spices from Zanzibar, not some generic white label shite.

Again, I authentic gubbins.

William has moved on, I cannot see them ever having a brotherly relationship again. Right now the people William will be close to are the ones he could rely upon over the two cancer diagnosis. Harry was absent at a pivotal life moment for William. I do think Harry will always have an escape route into the family should things go wrong but with little status. The royal family should learn as I do think those who marry in do need to be able to secure some wealth should the marriage end. For all meghans done she's in a much better position than her equivalent of Sarah Ferguson should her marriage end.

Sarah's children are on good terms with future KW5. She lives at Royal Lodge, pops up at Easter, Christmas, Royal Ascot and lives an A-list lifestyle (far, far, far beyond her own means). As the generations turn, if she is still around, Sarah will be quietly provided for by her sons-in-law. Her grandchildren know W and kids which will provide Sarah's DGC with generational social capital.

By contrast, H&M have lost investors' money so have eroded their precarious social capital within the entertainment industry which judges people by how bankable they are. Future deals on all platforms will be significantly less even as expenses grow as kids get older. Finally, H&M have torched relations with the royal family so no social capital for them or their DC.

Sarah, by keeping the RF onside, may prove to be the winner in this.

AtIusvue · 20/06/2025 19:33

So I think the real test for her was to have larger stock numbers for some items to see how they sell. We know the flowers sprinkles had the most inventory, because she told us in the video.

These items aren’t selling out as fast. Why? Because no one is clamouring to buy expensive pancake mix if they’ve already tried it. They will just use their usual, much cheaper mix. I’m sure the items will sell out soon. They’ve been designed to- but I think it’s telling that the items taking a little longer are probably the ones which they had the most riding on in terms on what it’s telling you about actual demand etc

The other items I think were low in number to bulk up the ‘collection’ but were small in numbers. That why the tea sold out fast but the tea was the last to go first time round.

Just looking at photos from Ascot and thinking why would you walk away from that life? I’d suck it up to go to events like that and Wimbledon and have the best seats.

Yes - a multi-billionaire lifestyle with unimaginable access to contacts and opportunities, but no need to found a company / slog your guts out to access it.

I'd argue most people when ending a marriage would want their future on their own terms and not the parent in law or brother in law to have the monumental decisions on a settlement. Harry is in a more vulnerable position I don't think that is the same for Meghan, it may have not of happened how she expected but I'd bet money she has protected assets.

That is an interesting perspective. I would have said that M is far more exposed than H.

It is not the assets M has that is the issue, it is the liabilities that sit against these assets. It is the income generation of these assets to meet future bills.

All of M's projects are loss making to date. It is that math problem with water going out of the hole in the bottom of the bucket at a faster rate than water flows into the top of the bucket from the tap. Eventually that bucket will be empty.

IMHO, that is the core issue.

Late again but at least I've seen photos 😎

Two things:

Why is she swinging bare feet first into a very unforgiving looking triffid bamboo stem?

And. WTF is with the fretwork stool shot?

Looks like the hanging scene in some third rate thriller 😬

If that’s true that’s embarrassing for her.

Assuming £24 per order (let’s assume the average person buys 2x items) that’s only just under 500k in revenue.

Assume she makes a 50% gross margin after Netflix and Snow Commerce take their cut, that takes it down to 240k. And that’s in the space of 3 months, during which time she’s had to pay staff salaries to manage her PR and promotions.

ok 240k for some people is a lot of money, but not for Meghan, living a lifestyle that costs millions a year to maintain. By the time she’s paid all her expenses and overheads, does it even turn a profit? I have doubts.

Even if you assumed higher margins, or a higher average order value, you’re still not talking about major levels of success. And the slower stock sell out this time suggests that she will hit diminishing returns quite quickly.

LaMarschallin · 20/06/2025 21:12

That's very kind, CathyorClaire Flowers
That's an interesting skirt/tablecloth to wear when clambering about on a stool; more apricots could be picked if she wasn't having to spare a hand to wrangle material.
Totally see what you mean about the hanging scene. I'm getting Bette Davies vibes for some reason.
