H&M Fathers Day video

So they are showing faces now, how long until they are including them in everything, showing them fully.
I feel like this is a bit desperate now. It was their last card to play, the children. They’re trying anything now for attention, what do they have left, showing private videos of them after all the criticism about the Wales children being on display.
One thing about them is they always surprise me.

Kate too, pulling out last min. She obviously still has her health issues. So no one on the family will care for Harry when everyone else has very real problems.

While we don't know what Catherine's cancer was, we do know it was found during abdominal surgery. I always think it's bloody amazing that she turns out immaculately time after time considering what it may be and the length of time in public.

upinaballoon · 19/06/2025 11:43

I know the scorners will say that the royals never do anything in the domestic line, but if I had to be up and breakfasted and been to the loo and showered and then got into the clothes of the moment, and, as a woman, got the hair and make-up just right, there would be a bit of tension. Add to that the warmth of these last few days. There was a gap between the TTC and Ascot but they've been busy days. It's not the same as us deciding we'll go to Somewhere on Saturday if it cools down a bit and after granny's been to the loo and we won't go out at all on Tuesday if this heat carries on. They, the members of the RF, have to do things according to timetables a lot of the time.

And before anyone young comes on to tell us that HMTLQ never cancelled because she was 'indisposed', oh, yes, she did, but not often.

Edit to say this was a follow-on to what @Weepixie wrote.

As someone who had a cancer that required major surgery through my abdomen (and was several years younger than Catherine), there were definitely days long after surgery (and chemo) I just wasn’t up to going out. It can play havoc with your digestive system too and there were times I wouldn’t go out because I needed to know there was a loo close by. Sorry if that’s tmi and may not be Catherine’s issue but the dilemma was real.

We also don't know what Kate's original condition was that required the abdominal surgery in the first place. It could be that she is having ongoing treatment for that condition as well.

Well, there's the rub. Harry could suggest/ask that they (he and the children at least) come over and meet other family members at Balmoral in the summer - plenty of notice for RAVEC, high security already in place and easy for the King to ensure privacy (no film crews etc. he could even bug the place himself if he really wanted to track everything that's said!)
Waleses could bring their children for a couple of days to meet their cousins, so could the Tindalls/ B and E etc al. Other family members could stay nearby and not under the same roof (doesn't Charles have his own place they could use?), they could plan in lots of other activities that meant they weren't alone with H and focus primarily on the children. It could work. I think C and C have more than enough nous to dodge being alone with Harry, attend 'engagements' and invite non-family members to dinner so there are no opportunities for personal conversations, then retire early citing old age and infirmity, thus avoiding being 1:1.
But I doubt any of that's going to happen because it doesn't fit the Sussexes' narrative, does it? Harry, at least, isn't really interested in finding a solution when he can just bleat about how hard done by he is in the hope that his family capitulate.

I think that H&M are desperate for some sort of engagement from the RF. Their "status" is all they have left. They burnt their bridges in spectacular fashion and sold the family out for media and book deals and now act all offended that people won't talk to them directly.

But I see no way back now that the trust has gone - nobody is going to talk to them directly knowing that anything they say will be used as content in the next Netflix series/podcast/book/article. They can't even release a fathers' day video without turning it into a whine against the RF.

Whatever happened to Archewell Productions? Didn't they option a film? Has that been dropped as well?

CurlewKate · 19/06/2025 12:33

There’s a ton of royals there already. And she doesn’t like horsy things. And it’s super hot. And nobody seems to be carrying a parasol this year.

MrsLeonFarrell · 19/06/2025 12:43

Harry didn't seem to remember that it is only very recently he was accusing his father of being in the way and of being subject to an establishment stitch up. Why on earth would anyone risk speaking to him.

Lunde · 19/06/2025 12:57

Also I don't recall Harry sending a fathers' day message to his own ill father that he "longs" to reconcile with.

Vespanest · 19/06/2025 13:04

I was a walking Petri dish for at least six months after chemo. All my allergies hit harder. Harry doesn't seem to realise every time he opens his mouth about his father he resets the clock. The daily mail may be correct with the using of the children to get a response and not really Harry could deny it after the walking away photo. It was widely said that is was a eff you message. It would be the same as the previous case with the Daily mail and an honest opinion argument that Harry had to withdraw. The rest im calling bullshit and over exaggerated by the source.

‘2 more sleeps’ until the next As Ever drop. Is she fucking 12?

Bickybics · 19/06/2025 13:10

The RF have managed to keep Catherine’s diagnosis under wraps, you think M&H wouldn’t love that information. They clearly aren’t to be trusted.
If this latest story has come from them it’s another reason they have to be kept at arms length.

It's the same terminology as The Muppet Christmas Carol.

I'll be honest - I'm genuinely amazed there haven't been any "serious health scares" reported from Montecito, especially considered it's the sort of thing that often spurs families to reconnect even if it's only to be viewed as doing the right thing

There's time yet though ...

Didn't she reiterate in that Emma Grede podcast that she wouldn't be putting out more products immediately because she didn't want to disappoint potential buyers or some such nonsense. She's all over the place.

I have to admit I was quite shocked at his last interview blaming the King for the security issues. He knows his father is unwell why would you do that?
Does this guy have any empathy at all?

His sense of victimhood is far too strong for him ever consider anyone else but himself. But what he refuses to believe is that the public really couldn’t give a toss about his feelings. But rather than do an about face he doubles down on the poor me stance in the misguided believe he can win back public favour.

Shocked at the lengths some posters will stoop to bring racism into a thread about MM with the sole purpose to derail. Honestly 🙄

Mymanyellow · 19/06/2025 13:47

Just to be clear I don’t think the king is sulking either. But I’ve e heard it said that he should ‘get over it’ and invite them over. Also for what it’s worth I think William will take a much harder line than the king has.

Yes she did. She has no clue.

MaturingCheeseball · 19/06/2025 14:03

It’s all about trust, as other posters have said.

I’m sure Charles must think. “Wth, I’ll say I want to see them” - but then reason - and the grey men - step in with the sad realisation that any conversation - let alone visit - will be relayed without delay to a willing wallet.

When Harry flew over to see his father after the King’s cancer diagnosis, Camilla stayed in the room. Harry has proven himself to be a mouth for hire, untrustworthy and disloyal.

Then there was the tantrum Harry threw about wanting Meghan to attend the Queen’s passing, and before that saying Meghan wanted to “dial in” to the Sandringham Summit. His wife has behaved appallingly to the rf so it’s no surprise that they are not keen to have her slinking round looking for Insta opportunities.

They were going to "collaborate" on their terms with the Queen dontcha know 😂😂😂

Uricon2 · 19/06/2025 14:22

I'm very much hoping that Catherine has just had a bit too much horse exposure and wants to avoid more. I didn't know that she was allergic until the last few days. She looked well at the Garter ceremony but that was perhaps less equine focused!

(Am going to try to use Catherine as Kate just stuck with me, no disrespect meant!)

My2cents1975 · 19/06/2025 14:26

IMHO, people are overlooking look how Charles' job of King impacts his ability to meet with his blabbermouth second son.

As Head of State of several nations, two of which are NATO, one of which is nuclear powered, KC3's words carry weight in the international arena.

H has a track record of 1) misrepresenting and completely making up conversations, 2) using his family of origin as content and 3) running to the nearest TV camera to dish on interactions with his family of origin.

From the perspective of being King, H is an international political headache. The more H embraces the camera the more impossible it will be for H have an extended interaction with KC3.

I do think that the Sussexes have never really comprehended that the Royal Family do actual have a constitutional role in this country and that the King is an actual Head of State. I think they genuinely just see them as a rich family that turn out occasionally to press the flesh or go on overseas tours

Oh he knows. He knows what he's doing. He knew what he was doing when he told First Nation Canadians that he would be advocating for them with his father. He knew what he was doing going to Jamaica and hob-nobbing with a hostile PM. He's deliberately undermining his father as head of state and head and of the Commonwealth. The man is a security risk.

This ⬆️
He absolutely knows that he is undermining his father, and by extension, the UK. What an arrogant fool.
