Wish I could go back and find all those posters who predicted a Kardashian-esqe social media blitz at some point in H&M's future, wonder where are all the posters who we're so affronted by the very idea of that.

People magazine and all, the uber celeb magazine.

I guess needs must with the downfall of her business efforts, \oh look, here are my kids whose privacy we have decided to forego for the greater good of taking the heat off what a crap business woman I am'.

Exactly. We are aware these days that cold and damp is not good for the fabric of a historic building, if nothing else. Do people imagine there is no hot and cold running water and no heating in these buildings? What about the artworks that probably need conservation grade climate control? And the private apartments are kept in a very different state to the public parts of a building. Unless it is being suggested that the Royals are forced to live in the dungeons 🤷‍♀️

It's so pathetic. I imagine from US posters who have seen Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves a couple of times, and think royals live like the Sheriff of Nottingham.

There was someone on another thread who thought Charles could imprison people!.😂

So many truly famous people manage to keep their children completely out of the public eye. By doing this Meghan and Harry have deprived their children of the option to not be famous. Are they going to be able to have interesting, fulfilling careers or are they going to end up going down the Calum Best, Brooklyn Beckham, Paris Hilton route?

OctopusFriend · 07/06/2025 13:16

He's a nasty piece of work. I wonder how he feels about all the stuff he was fed by his Sussex paymasters has turned out to be nonsense?

I remember he was pissed off with his Buckingham Palace/Kensington Palace source for feeding him false information when he wrote that Meghan received kidnapping training but Harry’s Spare debunked it 🤣

EsmaCannonball · 07/06/2025 13:23

To be fair, the castle nearest me was bombed by Oliver Cromwell so you probably would need an industrial dehumidifier and a decent space heater if you lived in it.

Bet you wouldn't catch Old Ironsides on a log flume.

😂😂he would certainly have closed down theme parks!

There are obviously many, many types of Americans (I lived there for a number of years) but for some, Britain is a strange, strange land. I have had some odd comments over the years, but only two years ago a man said to me that he’d like to visit England, but he really only liked showers and he’d heard our plumbing wasn’t “funky” and we only had bathtubs. I was able to help him out there by saying that indeed many of us store coal in our baths and just strip wash at the sink once a week. He looked horrified!

Lifestooshort71 · 07/06/2025 13:26

What has them being the 'King's californian grandkids' got to do with anything?? I accept 'marching' was typed at speed but I thought it would be a video of littlies marching in step in little guardsmen's uniforms 💂‍♀️💂‍♂️ - disappointed it's just the usual stuff

MaturingCheeseball · 07/06/2025 13:26

Charles has peculiar royal powers that came and go according to many. For example, he can apparently prevent Harry’s children’s passports being processed on a whim, and has the power to tell the government that Harry and his family should get tax payer funded security, but is powerless to take away the family’s titles…

VaddaABeetch · 07/06/2025 13:26

Buxusmortus · 07/06/2025 11:23

I agree. I saw what she was like then, but my family and friends thought she was great( changed their minds pretty quickly). It was the simpering way she hung onto Harry's arm and looked adoringly up at him, as if she was a young naive woman, when she was a confident divorced woman in her thirties that made me think it was all so contrived and fake and that she was a scheming person.

She was channelling Diana in her engagement photos when she was hanging on to Charles arm. She did look nervous. Diana was 19

Indeed. Apparently he can also tell the Home Office what to do, control RAVEC, pay for independent armed guards and override decisions made by the judiciary.
Extraordinary!

EsmaCannonball · 07/06/2025 13:35

Given that Americans are led by people who can issue wholesale criminal pardons, or even pre-emptive pardons of their own family members, as well as other executive decrees, I wouldn't take any lectures from them even if Charles had Nicholas Witchell, the Head of the Brutalist Architecture Association and the guy who handed him a leaky pen all down an oubliette together.

The children are being promoted. They're being photographed and filmed for social media. That's the parents' choice, but a birthday trip to Disneyland doesn't really need to be shared unless you want the likes.

That isnt new though they have done this throughout. I dont see it as a change to usual from them. We have had these photos semi regular without showing faces.

Serenster · 07/06/2025 13:39

Unless it is being suggested that the Royals are forced to live in the dungeons 🤷‍♀️

Harry did complain in Spare about his first place of his own being a flat on the lower ground floor of Kensington Palace. He described it as half-underground, always being dark and like a badger’s sett….

Bontonbonbon · 07/06/2025 13:42

She will cosplay anything she thinks will get her attention.

They could have gone to Disney totally privately. Disney run a very discrete, but expensive, service for celebs to access the parks without being harassed or papped. Almost every A-lister you can think of has taken their kids to Disney and the only reason we ever know is the odd blurry camera phone photo. Apparently Ariana Grande (arguably one of the most recognisable people on the planet right now) goes all the time.

So they didn’t have to do it that way.

And a full on team of videographers and photographers on hand to photograph their family trip to Disney for their daughter's 4th birthday, and then selling it on to People magazine. A full circle pivot to selling out their kids and private family time, it is quite funny to witness their downfall continue.

The kids are bringing in the clicks, for the moment, at least.

What's wrong with that?
Zara & Mike Tindall sold first baby pics to Hello magazine for mega dosh and they're in the royal fold. In fact they do lots of articles for that mag. But no one complains about that.

Still don't know what their kids look like facially. Harry & Meghan's that is.
Lots of famous ppl have their children's faces pixelated or blank them out, I think it's a good thing

Downfall! Really not.

I do find the conspiracy theorists on here who keep on that Meghan didn't give birth really really awful.

Scobie hasn't disappeared. He's working on a book/TV drama called Royal Spin

Yes I know, @PurplebeadedFendi; doubtless the lawyers will be watching carefully

On the subject of the (many) things he's got wrong, it was this insect who told us the late Queen would be coming back to London by train after her death, and I did wonder if someone at the palace leaked that to him so he could once again make a fool of himself

Not that he needs any help in that ...

Edited to add that, hiliariously, he apparently said the Queen would travel "over to the UK" on "one of the royal trains"
Does he think Scotland is some offshore island and that they have a fleet of trains? Grin

I had heard that William told Harry that, to check for leaks.....

Leaked it to H&M more likely, who promptly told him. Just like details in the court case over MM's letter were leaked to him, leading to MM's legal team getting a telling off from the judge. Just like Scobie knew immediately about the risable "near catastrophic car chase" and was the one to break the news within minutes of it apparently happening.

No one else with the same millions is considered poor. No one says how is Billie Eilish managing (apparently she has about $50 million). The only reason this pair need to keep making money is because they’ve chosen a vacuous life of extravagant celebrity. Even as ex royals they could have lived very comfortably on that kind of money. No private family of four needs a 16 bathroom house. Extravagance is a costly way to live.

Can someone explain this to Edward and Sophie please. Their house has 41 bedrooms and according to Google, cost £250,000 to run in 2019.

I am sure they are aware of the running costs of their own home. What they're not doing is spending years trashing the RF and invading their privacy to pay for it.
