Just what planet is he on? Why on earth would his kids mental health be affected by this?

The kids clearly know nothing about the story or who P Diddy is. If he is saying that his bad mental health has then affected his children….then he needs to stop reading stories about himself! Ffs, what a twat.

Harry claimed that the article and others published by the Sun and the Sun on Sunday had “a hugely negative impact on his mental health and that of his wife and children”.

I wouldn't expect anyone to have perfect mental health and to never show anything but a sunny face to their kids. We all have tough days and blips.

But to let this of ALL things they've been written about be the thing that's singled out as causing family strife? One story which honestly reported the details of the mention in the case?

If that one caused family-wide mental health issues, what on earth would the rest do?

trying to give the benefit of doubt.

I suppose it’s possible someone said something at school. - I would think most classmates parents would have more sense than to talk about those things in front of children but I could be wrong

my child was hyperlexic and at that age could have read a newspaper or magazine cover at the register when we were buying groceries. - The problem there is that I am pretty sure they don’t sell The Sun anywhere they might shop.

the children could have unsupervised internet access. - Let’s just assume they aren’t that stupid.

🤣

He’s the gift that keeps on giving. This is why I hang around this board, for gems like this. He honestly brings the ridicule on all by himself 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

RandyRedHumpback · 16/05/2025 20:26

But a hyperlexic kid would also have to understand what he was reading: understand the Sun headline, “Harry named in P Diddy sex traffic case”, and the content of the article, and pass it on to Archie who would also have to understand what he was being told in order to be distressed. If Archie or any 5 year old understands this terminology, then they have bigger problems than Sun headlines.

I think that’s a stretch. A headline wouldn’t have told a 5 year old anything at all about the severity and seriousness of it. They aren’t going to get upset at something stating a link between their dad and “diddy’s parties”. They’d have to have it really explained to them.

I think he just means that his mental health being affected affected his children. Which is understandable, as much as parents would probably aim to protect their children it’s not always possible.
Although I’d suggest that his book and documentary perhaps didn’t show much concern for how others might be affected.

Yes, my eldest could read fluently at that age but that article would mean absolutely nothing to her, she wouldn’t know what she was reading or what the relevance was.

MargaretThursday · 16/05/2025 20:33

It reminds me of a very boastful parent who tried to show how intelligent his 4yo was by telling everyone after a panto that "he was so clever, he didn't just understand the jokes aimed at children, he understood the adult ones". He didn't appreciate my reply (having also seen that panto) that sounded more of a safeguarding concern than a matter of intelligence.

RandyRedHumpback · 16/05/2025 20:35

I can remember traveling with my DD as a 5 year old in another mum's car with her kids; and DD picking up a women's magazine that had been left on the seat. She read out the blurb on the cover: "How to stop wetting your pants and start living". Needless to say, all the kids fell about laughing, which set us off too. But the kids had no understanding of the context (female incontinence/pelvic floor health).

Justmovehousethen · 16/05/2025 20:59

JFC.

This guy is an embarrassment.

Unmonitored he makes a prat of himself at every turn. I would love to know the shit he’s done/said that was hidden when he protected by the RF.

Fool.

BasiliskStare · 16/05/2025 21:00

My mother thought I was a reading prodigy when at 2 & 1/2 or 3 I asked her what Her Willy Brand was . I had read a name on the front of the Times or similar. So yes I read early but I had no clue it was Herr Willy Brandt - none of the context or the rest of the article. Also I suspect my age was exaggerated because she wanted to believe I was a preternaturally early reader. 😊 I think if Harry thinks his MH is affecting his children he really needs to have another think about what kind of help he might get. & yes why the Sun - just more it's all the British Press's fault? I wish he would be a little more self aware, Hasn't he been paid out for all his Press court cases. I think it's time he got over this. & as others have said - it's now his job to make sure his children aren't affected by whatever he thinks his MH problems have been. He's pretty much a middle aged man FGS & parent of 2. Not hard to make sure they aren't aware of the ins and outs of the P.Diddy case surely to goodness.

I am starting to think he is a lost cause.

Justmovehousethen · 16/05/2025 21:01

Just wait until they find out about their batshit mother writing motivational slogans on bananas for sex workers.

Another fool.

Feetinthegrass · 16/05/2025 21:13

The biggest risk to the mental health of Harry’s children will be their mother whom is a narcissist, and their father’s poor mental health as he is unable to protect them and remains completely unaware of the pain they are both inflicting on them.

Feetinthegrass · 16/05/2025 21:15

Can we assume this is an admission that these poor children are already suffering poor mental health? It really sounds like it, and if so that is a tragedy. It’s not unexpected.

Anon2536474 · 16/05/2025 21:16

They are 5 and 2? Absolute rubbish

Vespanest · 16/05/2025 21:16

It's more of the same hypocrisy, he writes crap about people and not a care in the world for their mental health. He wrote about Charlotte, he wrote about his niece and nephews parents marriage. He told of his employees not being able to take "constructive criticism", his first shag and the matron and plenty more. He's not going to stop with his drivel and victim hood

BigAnne · 16/05/2025 21:20

I honestly don't know how MM can stand to be with him. He's so unattractive in every way.

AmeliaHarbottle · 16/05/2025 21:20

To be perfectly honest neither of them sound like fit parents. They are so up their own arses and so far from understanding what a child needs or what is appropriate.
It’s concerning.

thenightsky · 16/05/2025 21:21

The claim went on to allege that the articles put such a “strain on his relationship with the royal family that he was forced to leave the institution and relocate to North America, leaving behind all that he knew and held dear”

So now it's the Sun's fault he had to get on that 'freedom flight'. I thought it was the RF and/or the Briddish press. Make your fucking mind up H!

binkie163 · 16/05/2025 21:21

At least it will distract Archie from wanting to discuss landmines!

Feetinthegrass · 16/05/2025 21:25

Someone should call social services tbh.

I agree. If they read the article and understood the context then it’s a real safeguarding concern.

Or someone is feeding it to them. Either way a safe guarding concern. The children will be living in fear.

Vespanest · 16/05/2025 21:35

This honeymoon period seems a bit shit, he's too busy with Invictus to spend time with Archie, Archie's asking Meghan not to work too much. So if he left because on the Sun and this damaged his relationship with his family what the hell was spare about and the royal family (or his pet name for them institution) have to apologise if they wanted reconciliation to he's now somehow forgiven then and they are villains for ignoring him, because it's all Murdoch fault.

Feetinthegrass · 16/05/2025 21:38

Harry isn’t well. We don’t need to try and make sense of his ramblings. I hope he is getting some proper clinical support,
