I've embarrassed for Meghan saying that her arranging takeaway food on a plate is the same thing as what Figs Heather Hasson has done 😬

I would love to have been a fly on the wall when Dolly heard that 😂

Imagine having the gall to even ask Dolly, an absolute icon!

It makes sense to ask her if you consider Meghan has the status of a royal Duchess. But she hasn't. She is a minor celebrity and Dolly is way out of her league.

Dolly has achieved because of what she has done and how hard she's worked. Not because of who she married. Meghan may be a Royal Duchess and cling on to that forever, but Dolly is a successful woman in her own right. . That's far more impressive.

“Those mom moments energize me to be a better founder, a better employer, a better boss.”

Since when? There have been persistent and consistent reports of her being a bully in the workpace - from Canada to the UK to the US. Hounding numerous people from their jobs and emotionally injuring others that they need to seek professional help to recover their mental health.

Besides being the Duchess of Sussex, she’s a podcaster, a philanthropist, a children’s book author, the star of a Netflix show, and the founder of a direct-to-consumer startup.

How are you 'the star' of a NF show when its a docuseries you commissioned about yourself? All the other initiatives are one offs or if repeated are done so on a smaller scale. No traction - because no talent.

“The category of fashion is something I will explore at a later date, because I do think that’s an interesting space for me,”

Hasn't she just done this with her insta shop?

“If I had to write a résumé, I don’t know what I would call myself,” she says. “I think it speaks to this chapter many of us find ourselves in, where none of us are one note. But I believe all the notes I am playing are part of the same song.”

WTAF..!!!.... She is so grandiose and delusional - top entertainment or a rainy Tuesday. Keep 'em coming MM.

Edited

I love her metaphors and her flowery little expressions. Life for her is like being in a storybook.

HonoriaBulstrode · 31/05/2025 14:38

.....And great-granny coming back as a hummingbird!

If great-granny came back as anything, it would be a horse. But as a woman of sense and a committed Christian, I doubt she'd have anything to do with the kind of woo Harry spouts. Beyond a bit of private eye-rolling, perhaps.

(I could see Philip reincarnating as a bird, perhaps, if he wanted to, because of his love of flying. But it would be something like a golden eagle, not a teensy little thing like a hummingbird.)

AmeliaHarbottle · 31/05/2025 14:42

Imagine the conversations the two of them have with each other. It would be so word salady that no one else would understand. Like a foreign language.

User14March · 31/05/2025 14:42

She manifests straw into gold, so far it’s worked pretty well for her. She’s the Queen of manifestation right from the off & ‘Rules’ on first date. Good for her, it’s a masterclass in how far this can take you. Tenacity, some talent & beauty, if ‘played’, lead to the opposite of a humdrum life. If beautiful, acquire sophistication & world at feet, if smart.

I agree it was making a comment about how she doesn't have the status she seems to think she has.

GG was almost psychic

“Let’s hope they’re in love. If they’re not it’s going to be totally unbearable,” Greer told journalist Tara Brown. “She will see vistas of boredom that are unbelievable. I think the pressure to escape from the firm is crushing.”
When Brown asked what she predicted for the couple’s future, Greer answered, “I think she’ll bolt.”
^^
“She bolted before. She was out the door,” she said, referring to Markle’s 2013 divorce from Trevor Engelson. “I think she’ll bolt. I hope in a way that she’ll bolt but maybe she’ll take Harry with her.”

I imagine they have some fairly tetchy conversations.

Just sayin’ she’s played what hand of cards she has pretty well & continues to do so, if ‘personal advancement’ the/her goal.

I think the opposite is true. She had 'world at feet' 5 years ago and now she's reduced to selling clothes for commission on the internet. If she'd stayed in Britain she would now be 3rd lady in the realm.

She had people throwing money and contracts her way 5 years ago, and now she's a small time influencer. We must have very different ideas of 'personal advancement.'

When you even get to marry a Prince of Realm at all as non toff that’s pretty unusual. The Suits role v hard to get too although many mock & NW degree no walk in park . Even now she’s trying unlike PH it would seem. She’s hardly in gutter. Agree, obvs not best moves since but she’s one to land on feet I feel.

I was thinking of her post Mexit life.

I hardly think marriage to Harry is some sort of achievement, but that, and not any amazing personal attributes, have led to the opportunities Meghan has been handed over the past several years, most of which she has royally squandered. The fact that 5 years on, she's now peddling clothes on the internet, which anyone can do, is hardly proof of some great abilities on her part.

She’s living with mega millions in sunny Montecito, it beats a pebble dash pre war semi in the arse end of nowhere in mizzly UK. She’s won life’s lotto as far as many are concerned. I’d kill for that garden alone & the wardrobe :). She’s not doing too badly.

Again, I think we just have very different ideas about what 'success' is. For me, it's not all about superficial material attainments. Personally, I think her house is ugly, her wardrobe bland, and small town California unappealing, but obviously opinions may vary.

But my point, which you continue to ignore, is that she had so much going for her 5 years ago and is now reduced to peddling clothes online, with a 'business' which doesn't actually sell anything. The money she has is mostly from her husband's inheritance, and the contracts they got on the basis of their royal connections. Not from any great talent of Meghan's. So it's hard to see how they can add to those supposed 'mega millions' going forward.

Anyway, life isn't all about money, is it? Imagine waking up to Harry's balding pate every morning.

I hear you, let’s see where she’s at in 5 years. I think $ & status were her values, not mine or yours, so, so far the manifesting went ok.

Status?

5 years ago she had people literally bowing to her and calling her Your Royal Highness. She would be 3rd lady in the realm, behind only the Queen and Princess of Wales, had she remained in Britain.

Now she's selling clothes for commission on the internet. In California, she's just another C list celebrity, and a pauper by Montecito standards.

If status is her 'value', then the past 5 years have been a massive fail.

True, but arguably she’s come a long way from the gawky teen leaning against rail at Buck Palace. Let’s see what’s next & the evolution.

Must there be something else? Why must her vacuous, mediocre efforts be continually thrust upon us? Good grief.

I would expect that most women in their 40s have 'come a long way' from their teenage years. It would be pretty strange if they had not.

Fair but few go as far. I’m not a particular fan but she’s certainly achieved, her Uni place alone, impressive. I don’t disagree with most of other points you’ve made. I think she set out to achieve a particular set of goals & by and large has got there.
