Harry's new interview

Harry has just given an interview quite a long one. I only heard a snippet and i'm totally incensed. Harry has said he doesn't know how long Charles has left. Who says that on TV for the whole nation to hear. What is the matter with the man. He is an absolute disgrace.

Him being the monarchs son needs to be a reason for him getting security.

Why does it 'need to be'?

The previous monarch's children, other than Charles, did not automatically get security either.

Why do you believe RAVEC, who are very highly regarded, have got this all wrong?

It’s a slightly different world now. I am not arguing he should have this. But i would hate to be in his situation. I never would have been though as i am not stupid.
He is at serious risk because he was in Afghanistan and then was stupid enough to boast about his kill rate. I don’t think much of his chances to be honest. I think he probably realises this himself. He’s not very bright.

I’ll never forget that Catherine and Charles were accused of being the royal racists via Scobie. And then both of them got developed cancer. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

What utter nonsense to blame Harry for their cancers. Are you a doctor by any chance ?

"He won't speak to me because of the security stuff".

Fuck me. How can you be so unaware. They are not speaking to you Hazza because you slated the entire family in an Oprah interview, in a Netflix documentary, and in your fecking book.

Dim and entitled. California are welcome to him.

100% agree with this xx

PotolKimchi · 02/05/2025 21:14

Not sure why the UK should provide security for him in California @lovescats3 He could just pay for his own security in California which I presume he does.

He can’t pay for armed security in the UK but he can pay for other security. In fact during every UK visit he has had police protection that is tax payer funded.
If he was in the UK visiting his father with his family and staying at a Royal residence he would have the highest security in the land. All he needs to do is give some notice. He would be met at Heathrow, whisked to Buck House or Balmoral and have a private visit with his family with full security.

It’s another matter that no one is inviting him to Balmoral and his family doesn’t want to see him…

You were arguing he should have it in your previous post!

Again, Ravec have an excellent record and will not want any harm to come to the King's son on their watch. I trust their judgement even if people here think they know better.

Supersimkin7 · 02/05/2025 21:19

Edward Viii and Wallis had the same idea. He pulled a spectacular flounce, convinced that his popularity meant he could sashay back into 🇬🇧 at any point.

The second he left his fam sacked him from his jobs, shut up his houses, moved the servants to other jobs and took the car keys away.

It took some time before the penny dropped chez Windsor.

Churchill, who had been E’s number 1 fan & was the last person to give up on him after Edward’s Nazi messaging, said ‘he’s done what he liked and now he’s got to like what he’s done.’

Edward spent the rest of his life freeloading from American billionaires. Those were the days - not sure that option is open to Harry.

He can pay for his own security. It's within his means.
He chose not to be a working Royal. He chose to move to the US.
You can't cherry pick which perks of the RF you want when you are no longer part of it.

The laugh is he moved to have privacy. What a joke.
Since then all he's done is court publicity and put himself and family in the spotlight, unfavourably.

First of all, Harry did offer to pay for his own security.
Secondly, being entitled to having security when being born in that kind of position and being exposed to that level of threat is not a"Royal perk" ( non- royals can be also entitled to life- long security).

Lastly, there is nothing "old" nor "tired" when it comes to citing other public figures who are also entitled to life- long security.

JohnPrescottsPyjamas · 02/05/2025 21:19

I'm not certain what Harry was really trying to prove with his court case either. He has travelled to Africa and South America with his wife with no issue, parts of the world with far worse security and more risk. Even crossing LA is a danger. Yet he cannot travel to the UK?

IcedPurple · 02/05/2025 21:19

wordler · 02/05/2025 20:55

Who does he think his audience is with the interview and now the statement?

His family are going to be worried, upset and furious with the way he is blaming and portraying him, and his level of delusion.

The government aren't going to indulge his paranoia.

His 'fans' aren't going to be able to make RAVEC or the government change their mind about his security.

Very good questions.

He is clearly desperate, and totally isolated from anyone who might ground him in the real world. Even a rich person's real world.

As you say, his various rants aren't going to impress RAVEC or the Home Office. His family will be all the more determined to have no contact with him. His fanatic supporters will lap it up but they are powerless outside of Twitter.

And he's still going to be left with a bill for a million quid.

I’m conflicted. I don’t think he should have world wide security. But in uk how can the current king prevent his own son from having serious proper security? Given the issues in his upbringing!

A very dysfunctional family. The king needs to own that. I personally think this king is a petulant, entitled, nasty little shit who cares about no one but himself and his legacy.

there you go. That’s what I think. Do your worst :-)

Bunnycat101 · 02/05/2025 21:20

I think a lot of this is showing how carefully managed Harry probably was when he was within the royal tent and he hasn’t been advised well since he’s left it.

He could have managed being a very light touch royal with all the trappings if he’d kept his mouth shut and played the game properly.

LizzieSiddal · 02/05/2025 21:22

His comment about not knowing how long his dad had left is awful. Imagine speaking like that in public about a relative, especially your father. If he’s desperate to speak to his father he could say just that, he could also apologies for causing them all so much distress.
I’ve always felt a bit sorry for Harry, but not any more.

You were telling me I was 'willfully ignorant' yet you clearly don't have a clue how security allocation works.

Firstly, he does have security in Britain.

Secondly, Charles has no influence in government decisions.

Thirdly, you don't get armed security on the basis of having a 'dysfunctional' upbringing, whatever that is.

A very dysfunctional family indeed. I am really over them at this point.
As previously stated, I've never heard or seen anything like this from their European counterparts.
Absolutely shameful and unbelievable!

I think he is a normal, flawed individual who has grown in wisdom and maturity over the years, as most of us do.

IBelieveinSomething · 02/05/2025 21:23

Get rid of the lot of them. Then they will be rich and safe.

To be fair, Charles did stick to the same mistress during his first marriage, whereas Diana had a series of lovers …….

This is not the case, unfortunately. ‘Kanga’ ( Dale Tyron) was his mistress in parallel with Camilla for several years, like Camilla married to one of his friends. When she didn’t make the cut after the Charles/ Diana divorce, her husband divorced her , and she was v eventually committed suicide by jumping from a window.

MyTattooIsBetterThanYours · 02/05/2025 20:53

If my ex DH organised my funeral I’d be livid. This is why there was a delay. Diana was divorced. Earl Spencer had all the responsibility not the family she was divorced from.

Thanks some people on here was telling some porkies.

First of all, Harry did offer to pay for his own security.

As established in the defamation suit Harry filed, then withdrew, he only made this offer after he’d filed his judicial review against the Home Office (the one he lost today) and the clear inference was that he had just done it so he could spin the lawsuit so as not to look like he was grasping.

The RF wanted a private funeral. The public funeral was in response the the public hysteria

Let us introduce you to Prince Laurent of Belgium and Prince Joachim of Denmark….

H&M and all the shenanigans. It's like a series of Brassic that has yet to be.

PotolKimchi · 02/05/2025 21:27

Yes the ‘he offered to pay for his security’ is not quite right.
Moreover he HAS security. He gets security. He doesn’t have to pay for it. He was accompanied by UK tax payer funded body guards at the trial.
Just that the RF won’t give him global security and he needs to let RAVEC know when he’s coming and his travel plans. That’s pretty much it.
