Would anyone like to join me in my attempt to unite the board and discuss our favourite royal outfits (before it enviably turns into another bun fight 🤣)

I’ll start with my favourite Catherine outfits first…

The fascinator/headpiece looks like the one she wore to Harry and Meghan's wedding.

She's worn a few yellow McQueen dresses so could be that, but it does seem a familiar dress for some reason.

It's an Emilia Wickstead, not McQueen as I thought.

She wore it to St Paul's for the Jubilee thanksgiving service in 2022

This thread is showing why plus size models are no longer getting work. With the exception of the Dutch queen (who is still nowhere near being fat), all these women are rake thin. They look good as clothes horses, but surely they are permanently hungry? 😫

They aren’t all “rake thin” actually - but the propensity of people to treat them as public property and comment negatively on everything they do (and don’t do) might help an onlooker understand the pressure they must feel to look their best? Like many women in the public eye - not just those in royal families. I am old enough to remember Sarah Ferguson being dubbed “ the Duchess of Pork”.

Catherine is recovering from cancer, and Letizia of Spain has battled an eating disorder for the longest time, so neither woman's weight is the stuff of envy.

Who’s ‘rake thin’? Kate is really slim, but not too thin.

I can’t think of anyone else in the RF that’s particularly slim. They all look healthy; Kate in particular.

And I really hate this nonsense that if you’re slim, you must be hungry.

I think Kate is very slim in the hips which makes her look slimmer than most women.

I wonder if she is rewearing things to make her look less wasteful than buying outfits for one wear. What I am hoping though is that it frees some of her budget for some wow red carpet dresses soon.

Catherine has quite often reworn things, hasn't she? Someone who follows her wardrobe more closely than I do will no doubt have examples.

I love that dress! It’s the sort of thing I’d wear but probably not at that price tag. My sister though would think it’s hideous and often tells me I dress like a rainbow. I say no, we like different things!

I’m not very keen on the pattern on Sophie’s dress, but the length is much better than the overly long styles she has been wearing of late

I love the dresses Sophie wears probably because they are similar to my taste.

Oh I’ve got nothing against long dresses and I’m with you on hiding knees 😆. It’s just that the dresses Sophie has often worn recently are too long for her and she looks a bit frumpy. There is a sweet spot for length and she seems to have been missing it 🤷‍♀️

This is Sophie's garden party outfit. She used to look really stylish I don't know whether she has got herself and a new stylist or something. But this is dreadful. Colour, print, length, style, the lot!

I agree @smilesythat there is a sweet spot for length, particularly with a midi dress and depending on your height.
Sophie missed it in that dress.

That neckline is hard to wear if you have a bust, the print really doesn't suit anyone of her age, it just looks matronly! And yes, the length of it is so wrong.

She has worn some fab outfits in the past.

Tbh, Sophie’s outfits always make me despair. So matronly and unflattering. She never gets it right. Camilla and Kate both know what looks good and photographs well.

Camilla’s extremely lucky with her hair. She seems to have a lot of it which is helpful for hats. And Kate obviously is blessed with her mane. Poor Sophie has always had very thin hair which is so hard to do anything with.

Sophie is about 5ft5, agreed the dress was too long for her height, and she was wearing quite high heels too (hence Edward helping her down the steps...).

Sophie has worn some lovely outfits over the years but all these floral dresses she's been wearing recently either range from monstrosities at worst or not that flattering at the best. She looks better in the sleeker and more simpler pattern, like the blue dress she wore to VE Day, or this
