Have listened to interview in full. At times he repeats himself at some length almost verbatim? He’s spent a long time learning almost a script at times I felt. He’s very articulate & measured IMO.

Is it correct to say he can only return en famille etc at Royal invitation, regardless of notice or event & have full security?

The dark forces apparently influencing decision - all very reminiscent of his mother’s famous interview?

He talks about readiness to forgive but there’s no hint at any culpability on his part. Interesting.

Accusing his family of conspiring with the state authorities to prevent him and his children having access to security in any country in the world is 'measured' in your view?

Zippedydodah · 03/05/2025 13:02

And now he’s asking the Home Secretary for an urgent review of security for the royal family.
WTF does he think he is?

I don’t care if it’s a script ( almost probably written with assistance from his partner in crime!)
sounding articulate when you are parroting a script is nothing impressive, it’s still a load of complete bollocks!

@User14March I mean interpreting Harry's understanding of legal findings is always tricky! We know RAVEC use a 'case by case' approach to his security so I guess soemone has tried to use illustrative examples that he is twisting/failed to understand.

If he is invited to family or State occassion - he will have full security either down to nature of event (funeral/coronation etc) or her will have full security because he will be covered by King's security/in royal palaces etc

Other attendances - whether visting friends or charitable endeavours - security assessment will determine security need.

He has to give notice for such attendances to allow time for assesment and deployment of assets - although emergencies will be accommodated (as illustrted when he cae over after KC's diagnosis (although that would be covered by family cover anyway...)

He thinks he's equivalent to a head of state, obviously. Deluded.

Well I hope he’s prepared to be told to bog off !!
that is all high level information that he’s never been in a position to know about!

PoppysAunt · 03/05/2025 13:10

It was clear that he had learned a script. He just used the questions to go to various parts of it.

Maybe he is magnanimously suggesting that the security for the rest of his family needs to be increased 😂

I agree. He doesn’t even live here. By what right does he think he can try and influence the government? Does he not understand that under a constitutional monarchy, the RF are no longer able to do this 🙄

Especially when he didn't get any kind of pushback from the 'interviewer'.

I doubt he'd have been so 'articulate' had any of his daft points been challenged with facts or logic.

LipglossAlly · 03/05/2025 13:20

In my opinion, Harry should accept this defeat and crack on with his beautiful life.

I appreciate it must be extremely difficult for him( I can't even imagine how I would feel in his clothes) and finally close this chapter with all the poison of the UK.

Meghan seems to have accepted it a long time ago , now it is Harry's turn.

The UK has the Royals that it deserves.

He thinks dark forces/bad actors in Royal Fam have influenced this as his status went from highest risk to lowest risk overnight once he decided to quit.

Does he not have a point if others are afforded protection for life who effectively don’t merit it?

Is it true to say he can only travel with fam at Royal request & receive adequate security?

For once I agree.

Harry has no role in British life and it's irrelevant to the nation what he does outside of the country. Best he stay in super safe California and enjoy his 'beautiful life' of being a CHIMPO for a life coaching app.

CleaningSilverCandlesticks · 03/05/2025 13:23

I hope he gets a dismissive statement from a very junior civil servant.

What do you mean 'don't merit' security?

Do you think the government just hand out highly trained, in demand specialist protection officers on a whim?

Exactly!!!
we have all seen his behaviour and nonsense when questioned by even the most sympathetic journalist!!

Profhilodisaster · 03/05/2025 13:27

Interesting that Harry says he knows where he is ranked regarding threat level , yet the judge says this is never revealed . Another lie. It could be true that Harry is top of the hit list , 'normal' celebrities receive death threats (Alice Beer from Watchdog has received them) but even if he is , appropriate security will be provided.

Meghan’s only link with the UK was through marriage. Of course she is happy in her own country not having to worry about inlaws though benefitting from the tens of millions of dollars the link has given her. She is quite happy not to have contact with her own family either.

jeffgoldblum · 03/05/2025 13:30

I’m sorry if this sounds snippy!!!
but I’m awfully tired of posters who have no knowledge of the workings of the U.K. government or royal family, plopping unthought out comments.
I would consider it the height of rudeness if suddenly I was telling an American poster all about the USA government and criticising the constitution!
if you are not sure ask ! Don’t presume you know the rules better than the actual government of the U.K. or the people who live here and studied it!

MummyJ12 · 03/05/2025 13:32

Just watched the full interview. He looks to the right a lot which is indicative that he’s not being entirely truthful. He is speaking his truth not necessarily the actual truth or facts. It’s another tantrum from the man baby.

Interesting that the BBC got the scoop…..

True. I was really surprised though that huge chunks are repeated verbatim so much so I thought Serious coaching behind scenes. When he goes off script you can tell but he quickly finds safety of huge chunks he’s safely rehearsed it seems.

CleaningSilverCandlesticks · 03/05/2025 13:33

Funny how, despite being so aggrieved at the royal family a) he wants a reconciliation and b) they are quite happy to make play with their Royal titles.

Which others are given security for life? The only royals guaranteed permanent security are The King and Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales and George. None of the others have guaranteed life time security, remember the did Andrew made when the late Queen removed his daughters security?

Yes but they know it all . They know as much as Scobie thinking Scotland was a different island from England 😂

Me too.

Harry relies on this level of ignorance and cluelessness to peddle his propaganda and victim narrative.
