Oh I would love to speak to Charles and least favourite choice would be Zara ( no interest in horses)

They're all up for a bash in my book but if we leave the US to deal with H&M's frivolous use of expensively trained personnel (good luck to those filing the FOI requests) I think there's an argument for wider scrutiny as to how said personnel resources have been treated in the UK on occasion.

Instances we know of include:

H (again) punching a protection officer

H (again again) sending a UK protection officer out for takeaway coffee immediately after finding freedom

Andrew dropping a pile of papers on the floor and ordering his protection officer to 'fucking pick those up'

And now the hideous Tindalls thinking it a roaring jape to have five highly trained (at our expense) riot gear clad officers storming a bedroom.

As ever we're left to wonder what other frolics at our expense have been covered up.

We are taken for mugs over and over.

As for garden party chit chat I suspect Peter Phillips (don't think he does them though but a girl can dream) would be the dullest company.

At least until I asked him about the Patron's Lunch but that'd get me thrown out for sure 😂

I think Prince Philip on a good day would have been a hoot. Possibly even better in a bad day.

I suppose there might be a different atmosphere when she's on duty at some formal event, @Samcro, but she was just plain lovely - and completely normal - when I met her with the first two kids in Norfolk

Very clued up on local issues as well, and not in a "polite comment" way but a manner which suggested she genuinely knows about stuff she couldn't possibly have expected to be asked about

Another blurred family visit probably and if I had £20k-worth of earrings then I would definitely wear them to the Chelsea Flower Show. As it was a public event, you can hardly expect Eugenie to stand behind a plant pot and hope it doesn't look as though she's 'on duty'.

I thought she lived in Portugal now and she supposedly also had a job. Funny how they always seem to on jollies.

I attended the Chelsea Flower show this week, and have also been to a Buckingham Palace Garden party. (I don’t have any £20k earrings, sadly). I’m definitely a career girl earning my own money, though - I don’t think these are mutually exclusive….

It's interesting that although she was at the garden party, as was Zara going by photos, the official royal family Instagram account only mentioned and showed the Wales, the Edinburghs and the Gloucesters. In other words they are trying to make clear who is a working royal and who is a member of the family. It is a blurred line when it comes to who attends what but it isn't blurred when it comes to who is a senior working royal and who isn't.

What's the issue with the earrings? She is married to a wealthy man. I actually have 20,000 earrings too. They are diamond solitaires from Tiffany.

But she’s a career girl in the sense of most rich upper class career girls - they always find time to do ‘the Season’ each year and go on vacations.

There are always loads of minor royals / royal adjacent family members at events like Chelsea Flower show, Royal Ascot, Wimbledon, Goodwood, etc

I haven’t bought a copy of Tatler in years but do they still do the ‘society’ pages photos? You see all the same people circulating around all the parties and events - it’s just what they do. Eugenie is always going to be part of that scene whether she’s a working Royal or not.

Bloody hell, no envy here, but a bit gobsmacked at your earrings!

I actually wear them every day. In fact I also have a pair slightly smaller too. Worked hard, put up with shit. They are insured. Yes I have a safe at home . 🤷‍♀️ didn't post to boast . It's I just don't see the fuss about Eugenie having them.

I assume she's absolutely fine with it. The custody arrangements will have been agreed mutually - if she wanted to see him on Christmas Day then he would be with her.
