Watching the news about the horrendous rubbish problem in Birmingham, this was followed by Kates film clip rambling about Windermere saying we need to connect with nature and couldn’t help thinking it was inappropriate.I bet cancer sufferers in Birmingham would love to do this instead of holding down a job worrying about col doing chores that I bet she never does and have stinking rubbish with rats in the streets. I have no problem with her video but thought the timing was so off. They sometimes need to read the room.

It’s called a debate. If this debate upsets you so much I recommend you don’t post on public forums, as it may upset you when people don’t agree with your opinion.

You stated I didn’t like others debating me.

I stated that that it was other posters that had the problem with another poster sharing a different opinion. That includes yourself.

it really is underhand to label someone with a religious identity, not understanding the implications of doing so.

Stop doing it.

But you’ve said you don’t have a religious identity in the context of the Church of England (which is what we are talking about) so what have I done wrong?

I feel like you are trying to shut me down because you don’t like or agree with what I’m saying as you cannot defend what you are saying? It’s all part of healthy debate.

They let the royal rota attend events so they don't have 200 photographers and journalists camped on the doorstep creating a nightmare for both the family, the public and the police. It has nothing to do with turning their private family occasions into state duty.

I never said it was a state duty.

I said it was an event which the RF want to share with the public, because it’s an important religious service and the use the press to do so.

We are debating. You are the one who is getting upset. I am enjoying a healthy debate 🙂 We can keep on debating if you like?

It’s all part of healthy debate.

This is not a healthy debate, just agree to disagree & move on.

A healthy debate doesn’t include attaching religious identifies to people or other labels.

At no point, in any of my posts, did I say, it was a duty of state.

I said, there are duties, responsibilities and expectations on the Royals, the Easter service being one of them.

I haven’t though. As soon as you said you weren’t a devout Protestant, I said I don’t understand your point of view since you are not religious. You are the one who isn’t providing any nuance about your feelings considering you are not a devout Protestant or a Royalist.

But again, says who! There are many examples of Charles not attending Easter services of Trooping of the Colour. What say you about them?

You did attach that label. You then went on to indirectly imply, when I called you out for directly calling me a devout Protestant.

That if Charles didn’t attend, he should have attended. I don’t see why he shouldn’t have made the effort.

I asked why you were so bothered if you weren’t either a devout Protestant or a Royalist, as soon as you informed me that you were not. Maybe read back through my posts 😊

It's boring for everyone

Did you write to the Head of the Church (The Queen) or the Archibishop of Canterbury at the time of these absences if it upsets you so much?

I have no problem calling out the behaviour of the Royals. Usually it’s Meg n Harry, but I think Kate and Wills are losing a lot of public good will towards them.

This is Williams bloody job! He will be head of the Church one day and he won’t turn up to the Easter service?! I honestly think it’s shocking.
Im bloody fed up of hearing it’s important that they have time with the kids. We all make time for our kids, but we still have to work! Funny how he has time to go watch Villa though!

Also, with Kate it doesn’t look great being a young woman who is now cancer free undertaking very little Royal duties while the King, still battling cancer and 77 years old, has still got a full diary.

If they continue to piss about like this, the public will turn on them. I fear they are probably very similar to Harry n Meg; live in their own bubble, don’t take advice and are a bit out of touch. Probably why the couples never got on!

Just reminding you of your first post on this, @AtIusvue . Not exactly measured, let alone respectful, and clearly showing no understanding that there is a difference between state duties and private family occasions. You didn't just give an opinion, you made an inflammatory one and an incorrect one. And you are surprised to have been addressed in equally inflammatory terms matching your own energy that you brought into the discussion.

The press/royal rota covering a private family event doesn't render it a duty, either a state duty or a moral duty. It's no more a duty than there is/was a duty for the RF to allow the press to take pictures on the first day of the school year or the first day of a ski holiday. They do what's necessary to stop the press hassling them beyond what is reasonable and tolerable.

You have repeatedly used the term devout Protestant, to state that these are the only people that would be concerned with William not attending. Hence, implying that I’m one of these people, seen as I’m making the argument that he should attend and off the back of directly calling me as one.

How so? How would not attending a public Easter service impact anyone who isn’t a devout Protestant or Royalist? Please explain?

Which poster was I unkind to? Or used inflammatory language about?

I used the same language that I use when I talk about Meg and Harry and no one has a problem with that. Well, apart from the Sussex superfans.

The irony of being called an obsessed royalist by one poster and called out for using inflammatory language when talking about Wills and Kate by another, seems particularly striking.

I've just googled the RF and the Easter weekend and it seems from various sources that the Easter weekend is a PRIVATE weekend for the RF. I don't know what all the fuss has been about if this is the case.
