I see Apple Martin has now bedn talking about the issue that she was accused of being a pushy mean girl in Paris. This is old news but was resurrected due to Gywneth's alleged breakfast poke at Meghan. Meghan's fans went overboard in trying to pick GP apart including her daughter before the " friendly" reel. They've both been Markled. The ripples spread far and wide for sure.

I just took a deep breath and looked on the website . They only post to the US ?

One thing they got right 😂😂😂

Hoolahoophop · 03/04/2025 10:34

@glitterturd people are just fed up with all the shenanigans, the fake starts, , the OTT performance - it's boring.

I don't know how you can say that. Pages and pages of comments. Its the very opposite of boring, nobody is fed up, everyone on here is in high excitement, wondering will happen next and how it can be psychoanalyzed to prove what a narc she is, what a pillock he is, and what a toxic couple they are together!

MonteShitshow · 03/04/2025 10:35

I’ve had to look on eBay to see if there are any overpriced As ever products for re-sale. I couldn’t find any. Someone will be able to post a review of the jams and flowers soon, I am quite sure. In the meantime I will have to limit myself to the Duchy shelf.

MissRoseDurward · 03/04/2025 10:42

I just ordered some jam from the Highgrove shop. Childish, I know, but sometimes I can’t help myself.😀

I fancy one of their recycled wool throws.

I agree… It certainly isn’t dull! This is a case study for business, PR, psychology etc that is happening as we speak. So many case studies in academia are retrospective, and the comments / learning points are made with the benefit of hindsight. I find it very interesting to follow H&M because nobody knows how events will unfold yet - learned opinions on this site could yet be proven wrong, despite the extensive professional experience behind the opinions. That’s what I find most gripping and fascinating about this. It’s even taken me away from following the Marmite snacks thread elsewhere :)

If you say so 🤷‍♀️

boxset · 03/04/2025 11:11

I think they’d have more website visits and overall trade if they rebranded as A Sever and started selling off Harry’s fingers in those Jam boxes.

TheSecondMrsCampbellBlack · 03/04/2025 11:15

Ha ha ha @BasiliskStare at falling down a spread / jam / preserve price comparison mine!

TheSecondMrsCampbellBlack · 03/04/2025 11:17

And ha ha ha also @EsmaCannonball for "It actually seems a bit exploitative of the unhinged; the grocery equivalent of charging needy fans for a signed photograph (and where the signature has been done by machine)."

Thedom · 03/04/2025 12:09

So looks like there is the possibility there may never have been products to sell after all,

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14566667/meghan-markle-online-shop-run-web-firm-marketing-ploy.html

Edited to add ..... there is also speculation that some of her supporters (celebitchy owner and others)', may have been 'allowed' to purchase items by using a preferred login hence why some of the fan accounts managed to snag items.

Meghan Markle's As Ever online shop is run by 'horrible' US web firm

The Duchess of Sussex 's As Ever range went on sale in the US yesterday and she was celebrating when they sold out within half an hour of going live.

If there are any, there should surely be squealing all over social media from fans who have ordered the products. 'OMG just ordered Meghan's spread can't wait to try it.' Has there been any fan reaction?

If her fans didn't buy it all, who did? If the evil media did, there will be reviews in the weekend papers.

AtIusvue · 03/04/2025 12:44

She’s uses a firm called snow commerce- that have had awful reviews

‘One unhappy customer has warned: 'Do not buy anything from any company that uses this joke of a company'. Another critic said: 'They are ridiculously bad, they’re allegedly selling items that they don’t have in stock or don’t exist at all'.’

OP posts:
AtIusvue · 03/04/2025 12:51

I’m sure we will find out in the en y few days if there is any shipping/customer service issues.

OP posts:
AtIusvue · 03/04/2025 13:07

So it’s interesting, snow commerce seems to run online shop platens for the entertainment business. I’m guessing that’s the NF link.

Paramount and Warner brothers too. They have really bad reviews

Edited

Why oh why , is everything so dodgy , so fake , so duplicitous with this couple?
everything is always so flawed.

AtIusvue · 03/04/2025 13:09

I think it’s a licensing model- so Star Trek licences out for merch. Snow commerce then sells the stuff online. The quality is supposed to be poor and so is their customer service.

So could Meg just be the face of something? We know As ever was just infomercial products…..but maybe it isn’t even her own business?

Thestarsinthesky · 03/04/2025 13:13

As a marketing strategy - they had to sell out. We have no idea how many she sold to sell out. It’s caused hype, headlines and will lead to a demand increase as people will want to buy the sold out products- she may have sold out buy only has 100 items of each . She was always going to ‘sell out’ so there wasn’t any negative publicity that her products were not wanted.

Fourecks · 03/04/2025 13:49

I imagine Meghan has gone down this path with products because she needed something that would also provide content for Netflix. That would be harder with perfume and jewellery.

I wouldn't be surprised if Meghan releases a perfume at some point but I'm not sure we will see jewellery from her. I don't think she would want the comparison to Chelsy Davy,.who is a gemologist now with her own jewellery company.

Scampisocks · 03/04/2025 13:52

Looks like this is live post launch market research trying to demand. Dont waste any product by over supply and harvest data to (sell on?) call back when in stock. Also explains the industrial footage of the jam jars - probs to deny the above strategy.

It would be genuinely interesting to see how many units of the product actually reach the public. That's very easy to track by following hashtags like #asever #review and people @-tagging asever. It would also be interesting to see what Instagram stories are reposted by the official account. If they only repost accounts from influencers or celebs who have been vetted and presumably sent the jams as PR gifts then it would be a dead giveaway. Same if there are no uploads or reviews of her products by normal people. Obviously not everyone is going to be posting online but it's safe to assume that for such a hyped product, at least 1% of people purchasing it would want to show it. A lot of early buyers are also likely to be food content creators. Uploading the first taste test or review of As Ever would guarantee views so it's a solid business investment.

If there are no clips of unboxings or unbiased reviews from normal people then the launch was probably a data harvesting scam. They started with such small units that not enough products went into circulation for people to post.

The team is basically doomed anyway. UPF food products are so easy to slate that they can't win on taste reviews. They can try to limit the early numbers of products and create fake demand but at some point, all the "haters" will be able to get their hands on it. Just waiting for someone to claim they got food poisoning or had an allergic reaction to one of the products.

@AtIusvue I agree that if something is specific to an area or has a reputation then that would be used eg I know a well know Scottish cake shop who states in their window that the strawberries in their cakes only come from a certain place . You use it .

Goodfellow and Steven?

Are we from the same area?
