So looks like there is the possibility there may never have been products to sell after all,

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14566667/meghan-markle-online-shop-run-web-firm-marketing-ploy.html

Edited to add ..... there is also speculation that some of her supporters (celebitchy owner and others)', may have been 'allowed' to purchase items by using a preferred login hence why some of the fan accounts managed to snag items.

Edited

A bit like early access to the Next sale? 😂 full of shite too!

@MonteShitshow It’s even taken me away from following the Marmite snacks thread elsewhere :)

Hang on - this is important. I do need to find this thread

Yes, I thought the same, then forgot. 😁 Will wrestle with the search facility.

So it looks like the brand is actually Meghan, the As ever is just the fan merch. I don’t think it’s ever been designed as a martha stewart/gooptype company.

Which makes so much sense, with the way she talks on insta, that they are sharing things together etc.

Snow commerce works with entertainment businesses and offers fan merch basically. They take care of all aspects of the business. Brands Inc

So this makes sense. We know she’s not a cook (she serves the kids nuggets) yet she’s launching a premium food range- which turns to be packet crap Whixh we have no idea if the origin.

I think Snow Commerce has come up with the products, and Meghan has showhornednin any tenuous link in she can- to convince you it’s coming from her. So packet crepe mix- her back packing trio in France.

This is even worse than I thought. She is literally just selling fan merch, disguising it a a premium food brand.

Wonder if this will extend to branded mugs, key-rings, pens, T-shirts.

Scampisocks · 03/04/2025 16:43

Looks like the Andrew thread did it's job - distracting and dragging posters into that futile discussion and away from others on the RF board.

AtIusvue · 03/04/2025 16:43

This makes so much sense. Remember when she launched As ever in NYC….and it had all her ‘fans’ from the Tig? It seemed so weird why she would do this. A bunch of 20 something year old fans at a meet and greet but this is what the business is.

It’s meghan fan merch. Snow commerce even specialises in ‘premium merch’

Shes harnessing the Sussex squad and squeezing them for cash. She doesn’t care if people like her or not, she doesn’t need to. Because she knows she’s got loyal fans prepared to pay stupid prices and she’s taking them for every penny.

Wow. This is so sad.

And thats why she wont call them off Dr S or anyone else (despite their declarations of internet safety) - as they are her target market.....and they will probs sell it all for her cascading through their posts - like some sort of MLM.

AtIusvue · 03/04/2025 16:49

The entertainment brands they work for below.
I suspect when M&H got the NF deal, snow commerce approached Meghan…because they work with lots of entertainment companies. They have pitched a premium fan merch business, that linked to Netflix that do the infomercials for With Love, Meghan.

The brand has never felt authentic because it isn’t!

They even do merch for South Park! 😂

Influencers are now sharing the boxes they received.

Bontonbonbon · 03/04/2025 17:31

It does seem strange that nothing went out for product review. No magazines or lifestyle websites. It is totally possible that the jam and gift boxes only exist in tiny quantities. And that the release was controlled to stop people buying and releasing negative reviews.

boxset · 03/04/2025 17:44

As ever a right load of fake bollocks

BemusedAmerican · 03/04/2025 18:13

A small number of people will spend a lot of money. Hope they all have decent incomes.

It's classic White Labelling. The sourcing company finds a supplier with an existing product and they agree on a deal to change the branding and packaging so it looks like a bespoke piece. Merchandising is literally this. The t-shirt or pencil case doesn't change but they just print on a Minecraft character or Pokemon depending on which fandom they want to target.

As Ever is literally the same thing. They found some factories that can make jam or pancake mix and slapped the label and branding on top. Hence the secrecy around where it's produced, NDAs etc. They didn't set up a kitchen to make their own products. It's all existing products, possibly with minor tweaks, and just a different label. It would be interesting to compare the appearance and taste of those teas with existing brands. Some factories white label for many different clients so the product is essentially identical.

IcedPurple · 03/04/2025 19:15

The 'Snow Commerce' thing makes perfect sense.

These are just generic products which Meghan has put her name to.

That explains why the marketing has been so lacklustre. We were never told why the 'spread' or flower sprinkles were so special. Were they organic? Produced by local farmers? Did they contain some exotic ingredients?

None of the above. The selling point was Meghan herself. And because Meghan does not have any background in cooking or other relevant skills, the idea is that you buy the products just because you think Meghan is fab and want to be like her. In other words, this is directed at the 'squad'. She's barely even pretending otherwise.

However, I'm not sure the 'squad' are all that numerous, despite the ruckus they make on social media. So I don't see this as being a sustainable business direction.

Its full title is Marmite Snacks, on the MN Chat forum. Started in 2024, but someone commented recently so it got bumped.

MonteShitshow · 03/04/2025 19:32

If Snow Commerce is the supplier of the products, does it mean that they used Meghan’s raspberry spread recipe to produce a batch for sale, or did they already have their own raspberry spread which Meghan is now labeling and packing into the brand boxes? Her raspberry / other preserves have been featured quite a bit in WLM (just finished episode 5). Is there any point to having her visitors praise the preserves if the customers aren’t going to have even a vaguely similar raspberry spread? And what was the point of distributing the ARO jars of jam on social media if they’re made by Snow Commerce?

I really don't know how these things work but my guess is she told Snow what kind of products she wanted to sell and they procured them from their own suppliers.

Showing that production line on her Instagram stories seemed like an odd move. When you're selling a 'premium' product why draw attention to the fact that it is factory made? But then as I've suggested above, she probably knows that her fans are so idolatrous that the actual quality of the products is irrelevant so long as they're getting their tiny little taste of 'Montecito magic'.

That makes complete sense. The products are all incredibly basic long life products, with no USP- so Santa Barbara raspberries etc. the USP is Meghan and her customer base is her fans.

Think that tells you a bit about the quality of the products. Not that the fans will care.

What's the betting some journo, or several, is already looking into the conditions in which Snow merch is produced. Source of the fruit? Pay and conditions of the workers? I bet she won't have done due diligence, and any whiff of exploitation or impropriety would be another blow to her reputation.

Well it was the DM that picked up it was snow commerce…but haven’t yet reported that it’s a merchandise fandom business.

Snow commerce must be taking a huge slice of the profits though. They aim it as risk free, so Meg was putting nothing upfront, but she will paying through the nose.
