I’ve just looked her up - omg at Harry in Nazi uniform with Alex Rayner in blackface, did they not think that photo would surface?

I honestly don't think they gave a shit - spoilt , wealthy, stuck up toffs who live in a completely different world , where money or daddy can get you out of most things.

The honey is 225g . Just out of interest I looked at a jar of marmalade I have and it's 340g so you don't get much for your money at all.

The jam is even smaller at 215g

Uricon2 · 03/04/2025 15:02

I'm not sure about that (revolting) photo. Quick Google shows it seems to have done the rounds on X in 2021 (I'd never seen it before) and I'd have thought it would have been picked up more widely if genuine.

The 2005 party theme was apparently "Native and Colonial" (I know) but unless it was even more unpleasant than already thought, KKK and minstrel blackface would be a theme stretch.

glitterturd · 03/04/2025 15:03

Why would you order spread and incur costs etc ? What happened to buy small/buy local/ support small businesses? What would Travalyst say about this? Are these consumers working out how many carbon emissions this jar of spread is creating ? 🤷‍♀️

So much for an Eton education 😵

Profhilodisaster · 03/04/2025 15:03

@wordler according to this piece in the Independent there were people with blacked out faces at the party but it obviously doesn't mean this photo is real.

Apart from any other issue with the revelations of the last week, this is really going to destroy Harry's reputation with respect to his charity work in general. He's shown himself to be a complete liability to Sentebale, we know he's abdicated all responsibility for the problems at African Parks and there were issues bubbling under with Invictus.

If he sees his charitable 'work' as his main focus for the future, I think he's in big trouble. Who's going to want to have him on board after this fiasco?

Lunde · 03/04/2025 15:04

binkie163 · 03/04/2025 14:25

Talking of Alex Rayner. This popped up on my YouTube feed, a youtuber called P. Dina.
I have not seen this before (obvs Harry's nazi uniform) one wonders what the party theme was! Rayner is in black face apparently. Words fail me.

The party theme was "Natives and Colonials" and Harry chose the Nazi uniform of Rommel's Afrika Corps

To be fair, I think that side of some Etonians is very much a result of their family upbringing. I've met some (and know of others) who are not like that. They're humble and hard-working and want to give something back.

I suspect that it's the influence of the families of people like Alexander and his ilk which makes them so ridiculously detached from reality rather than the school itself. The school probably does its best to mitigate these unpleasant qualities.

The theme of the party in itself was awful so it wouldn’t surprise me if there were people there in blackface.

But research has convinced me that the photo above is faked with a Harry lookalike.

Invictus must be thinking really hard about what to do about Harry, and Meghan. At the very least, the Sentebale revelations should embolden them to talk to Harry about how to keep Meghan in the background, a conversation bound go go badly. They could hold him to ransom by saying that he can only remain as patron if Meghan doesn't attend. Even then, Harry is now even more tarnished than before.

I think Eton has changed over the last twenty years, with a far more diverse and international community of students. Having worked over the years with many men in the City who have attended top independent schools, I have never encountered any who have been in the least boorish.

I think that’s a ‘fake’ photo - old school faked not photoshop - pre all the AI stuff there was a trend of faking shots like this using lookalikes.

The only time Harry was photographed in Nazi uniform was the ‘colonials’ party that both William and Harry went to with William as a lion. There was no suggestion there was blackface or KKK people there.

Thank you for letting me know. I just saw it and thought wtf! Tbh if it were real Harry must be wondering what his friends really think about his wife. He was quick to point out that Chelsy a s. African wasn't black or anything. I will ask hq to take photo down.

I've been working and appreciate that the conversation here's moved on a lot...but can I take a moment with my fellow PR women on this thread to share a schadenfreude-laden cringe at the sheer DISASTER of that Alex Rayner interview with Alison Boshoff?

Rayner is described as a PR man; I've never heard of his agency but I can only assume it's one of those agencies set up to provide cosy fake jobs to posh boys not overburdened with brain, because...wow. My man got onto the phone to Alison (after a few sherbets, I'm betting), went 'hold my beer' and proceeded to break every single basic PR rule in the book.

Agreeing with a premise that should be strongly challenged (that Harry is a 'pariah')? CHECK!

Allowing the journo to lead him into murky personal insult waters? CHECK!

Reveal the identity of the guy paying you for this shite ('H is happy for me to talk to you..')? CHECK!

Lurch almost immediately into outright racism and misogyny? CHECK!

Ascribe feelings to people he does not know and speculate rampantly? I'VE GOT YA, FELLA!

Terrible, terrible, terrible; I did actually wonder if we've all wandered into a 'Thick of It' style satire and there's a studio audience out there in some glitch in the matrix watching the bloated pink faced buffoon effortlessly MAKING EVERYTHING WORSE and roaring with laughter.

Honestly that is one of the most disastrous 'defence' interviews I've ever read. Amazing. Bravo Alex!

I too was completely gobsmacked by the 'friend'.

His rant, which we know must have been approved by Harry, was so atrocious that it's rendered what actually went on at Sentebale almost irrelevant. For all I know there may very well have been fault on all sides, which if true will come out in due course. Why didn't Harry issue a dignified 'recollections may vary' type statement and leave it at that? What does he think he's going to gain from having his 'friend' launch a racist, sexist attack on an accomplished black woman?

I agree with other posters that this is extremely damaging for what's left of Harry as a 'philanthropist'. What charity would want to get involved with him now?

I hadn't seen it eitther - except the image of Harry's armband of course - and to be quite honest I'm hoping it's photoshopped

Otherwise you have to wonder just what sort of people he chooses to mix with, to think the KKK and blackface are suitable party costumes ... could they possibly have been more offensive? Sad

As with Rayner though, in an odd way I'm almost not sorry. The constant pretence to be other than what they clearly are gets so wearying, and at least some real light is being directed on it all

Harry has installed his own man as CEO at invictus Scott Moore about 5 weeks ago, (coincidental timing), so he is safe from being ousted.

It seems to me that SC is a very brave women. Her actions have cut through so much of the b*llshit around Harry. It all feels very precarious for a man who has badly lost his way.
