Dr Sophie has had to shut down her SM because of racist abuse by Sussex fans

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14558071/prince-harry-boss-sentebale-charity-shuts-social-media-trolled.html

A spokesman for Sentebale told MailOnline today: ‘Dr Chandauka deleted her Twitter account due to the proliferation of online bullying’.

One insider who has worked with Sentebale told MailOnline: 'While the pile-on has nothing to do with the Sussexes themselves, it doesn't look good that much of the venom is from their fans.
'The couple have campaigned against cyber bullying and misinformation on social media. I'm sure they will be appalled'.

A spokesman for Prince Harry declined to comment

So then Harry and Meghan should say something and correct the narrative? Like they asked dr Sophie to do.

Disgusting!! I’ve read that and they have printed some of the comments from the Sussex squad!
One actually called her “ a house n**ro “ 😡
and as will come as no surprise to anyone…
the Sussex’s were contacted but didn’t comment!

this is actually proving half of the drs case for her! , they are idiots, unless they muzzle their deranged fans it’s only going to make everything worse for them!

and I’m of the opinion that Harry knew exactly what the reaction to his little article would have on thier fans!!!

So, that line about DrSC "not being the most important black woman on the podium" ... whatever happened to "linked, not ranked?"

Absolutely, Meghan has no problem with hierarchy as long as she’s perceived as being at the top. She’s not a team player, no wonder she couldn’t adjust to being part of the RF.

IdaGlossop · 01/04/2025 12:25

Celia Walden in today's Telegraph says Meghan and Harry are showing why they should never have left the Royal family. She says all royals lack self awareness but that courtiers are the buffer between them and the real world. Without courtiers and ignoring all advice, Meghan and Harry just keep making mistakes. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/04/01/sentebale-row-harry-and-meghan-should-never-have-left-firm/ Apologies, the article is behind a pay wall.

See the problem I have with these articles is simply yes , that may apply to Harry but It certainly wouldn’t apply to Meghan who until she married him lived her entire live as an average person!
unless they are implying that marrying a royal suddenly renders ypu incapable of behaving normally!

Meghan's experience before marrying Harry couldn't have equipped her to deal with being internationally known, though. She's totally out of her depth and had she been guided by courtiers, could have made a good account of herself.

I hate the use of the word jealous as a cover all for any perceived wrong, it smacks of 14 year old kids in the playground .

You're not alone, Profhilodisaster, but apart from the issue of the limited mentality it suggests I've never quite understood what folk are supposed to be jealous of

There's the lovely home in a glorious cliamte I suppose, but apart from that ...
no, I'm simply not getting it Confused

Skimpyy · 01/04/2025 12:42

I think MM knows exactly what PH and finds him insufferable. He was always her stepping stone to become Hollywood A list, philanthropic, billionaire.

The potential to achieve this was potentially there - the did raise $$$$ from NF, PRH, Spotify etc almost immediately.

But she's impatient and I suspect frustrated where they are right now - I think she is flogging every single commercial opportunity right now - solo - so that she has bankrolled herself post divorce.

Plus. Harry is not her husband. She is not part of their love story. She is not a global humanitarian. She isn't mother to a prince and princess. 😀

Uricon2 · 01/04/2025 12:44

I can't imagine what King Charles is making of this. I think if there was any chance of Harry with or without Meghan returning to the fold in any way it is becoming less likely by the day. He's an utter liability and while I don't doubt KC wants the best for him, there will be courtiers who are much more pragmatic and willing to drop the rope.

That's before we get to William who is not coming at this from a place of unconditional paternal love.

Vespanest · 01/04/2025 12:46

I am surprised that now is the time for a knee jerk reaction from Harry, I really doubt that the American press are not going to run with this and this is their market. The tropes of the black angry woman will be read by their biggest defenders. I was expecting some form of denial ready for what today brings

Sorry if it’s already been discussed, I can’t keep up!
But what’s the golden furry ?head bottom left of the As Ever picture? It looks like the back of the head of a golden spaniel or maybe a Labrador.
Sitting at the table about to eat fruit crepes???
It’s surely not one of the children. I can’t work it out!

Dogs head.

I can't believe he's put out there that Dr Sophie didn't like it that she wasn't the most important woman of colour on the stage 😮

I'll be honest: not having read the Mail's piece I really thought folk were paraphrasing what Alex Rayner had said, but no - it seems he really did say it

He also appears to insist that Harry would have been quite happy with him speaking up, which on the "birds of a feather" principle leads me to wonder how many of his friend's attitudes Harry shares and, despite the claims that he's learned lessons about racism, whether that's actually true

As I said above. The Sussexes and their vile supporters don't care about poc or racial justice. They care about power, namely the supremacy of H&M. They will tread on anyone to get it, including poc.

potsandmud · 01/04/2025 12:58

It’s over for the sussexes. Commercially and philanthropically. He jumped because he had to - the charity is going to be put under a microscope and it will have implications for the whole sector and celebrity platforms as a whole. Which is not before time. Let’s face it, he is probably leveraged his entire life in order to give his wife the cushy billionaire status she wanted. And now it is allllll going to come out. People don’t play dirty unless they’re scared and he is. I would imagine the RF would offer him support in helping minimise the damage but as per usual he won’t take advice from anyone and keeps making it all worse. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is back in the fold at some point, exiled like his uncle. And MM will take the high moral ground and remain in the US. Who knows. But they put themselves in this position and there aren’t that many options available to them at this point, other than opening up Montecito on Airbnb.

As ever, KCIII has to react to all of this as a father and a head of state. What would be a good outcome for the monarchy? That the charity stabilises and is able to continue so all the damaging stories die down. Ian Rawlinson is no doubt helpful behind the scenes. The problem of Harry's behaviour remains. I'm not sure they can do anything other than worry about it.

Uricon2 · 01/04/2025 13:00

The problem is having "supporters" like the Sussex Squad is that it is the mentality of a mob, very difficult to reign back in or redeflect once on course. That is of course should H and/or M actually want to do so.

LemonLeaves · 01/04/2025 13:01

I'm also watching the virtual clock for a statement which claims no knowledge of Alex 'speaking for H' and completely throws him under the bus in 3, 2, 1.....

Sentebale's PR/comms team are doing a very good job here. The statements and comms are hitting the mark - professional but unyielding.

Bruisername · 01/04/2025 13:02

So they own the Montecito house?

The Sentebale comms team are doing very well, I agree. They are managing to be present without lowering themselves to a slanging match.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have some extremely sympathetic support behind the scenes.

It was said on previous thread, Harry is toast. The Sussex brand is over. Meghan will keep posting passive aggressive pictures of lemon, croissants, toddler fingers and dogs on Insta.

If there were ever a cautionary tale of how not to behave and what to avoid...

I’ve always thought it interesting that PH had a passion for Southern Africa yet when they went on visit to Africa post exit they visited Nigeria and he doesn’t seem to have really made visits to Southern Africa since. I’m surprised he hasn’t wanted to take his kids tbh

I don't think all royals lack self awareness, certainly not Catherine, Anne, Sophie and probably not William either after what he has gone through. The Wales kids will probably have excellent emotional intelligence too.

On the other hand, even when courtiers offered guidance and support, it was refused by Mr and mrs Sussex.

With the Sussex machine being so very volatile, it just may be time to remove Harry and his kids from the line of succession.

When they flounced it was all about a commitment to philanthropy, service and changing the world for the better.

They have shone a lens on the grubbiness of the American system of charities - buying awards, creaming off 95%, the USAID grift-boat etc.

They have drawn attention to H's mismanagement of "his" African charities.

All in all, I think.the general.public are far better informed now about charity grift, and the world is a better place because of it.

I'd like to thank H&M for their service.

As my day wears on, the shock doesn't wear off. I just struggle to believe that someone would say that. I would have loved to be in the editors room at the DM.
