You've ready my blasted diary, haven't you? 😂

It was Woody, wasn't it? Your fave?

potsandmud · 31/03/2025 18:51

SC definitely smacks of a strong woman who is used to difficult men who use their power to get their way at any cost. And i 💯 respect her decision to speak out in response to a shocking discovery that undermined her position and credibility. It’s fairly obvious that board meetings were quite literally ALL about him and what he wanted, nicely dovetailing all his interests as and when he thought it best. It’s so childish and calculated. He thinks he’s being clever but really just showing how desperate he is and how out of touch with the way genuine going concerns actually work.

potsandmud · 31/03/2025 18:56

The arrogance of their couple is astounding. Most people are very aware of the media and PR machines that exist. And how social media influencers aren’t just cosmetically enhanced desperados, but actually teams of people employed to seed opinion and muddy the waters on platforms of say… Mumsnet! It’s tactical and dirty and desperate. They know UK opinion is against them and using keyboard warriors with their cribsheets of facts helps them feel in control. Except you can’t influence genuine feeling anymore than you can police a couple of loose cannons who have burnt all their bridges…

No, Donny, I'm basic😂

potsandmud · 31/03/2025 19:09

I think the B team warriors are on tonight. Prob school age workies by the looks of it. Seriously go and get a REAL job in PR.

@Serenster I have no happy memories of boxed crepe mix either , but Oh the treat when Granny came to babysit and we got Angel Delight . Unashamedly crap processed pudding - I dare not think what went into it - but we loved it. For balance Granny did make pancakes from scratch.

Did you know they do Angel Delight ice cream now?

EsmaCannonball · 31/03/2025 19:15

Inspired by this thread I am now going to call Butterscotch Angel Delight 'Crème Caramel Seraphim Espuma' and I'm going to stick poems inside the empty packets in the hope of enriching the lives of the binmen. One of them might end up going to the Open University, like Curly Watts.

'This is our week at As ever.' That's Meghan's latest Insta post, along with a cheerful photo of her sitting at a table in her garden with beagle Mia. Is it my imagination, or does this have a triumphalist tone?

I saw that. It struck me, once again, that Harry and Meghan have the worst luck when it comes to timing. Starting right at the beginning leaving just before the pandemic, they never seem to get timing right.

And now Meghan has to launch a family based brand which is intended to focus on love, food and hosting, at the same time as her husband is embroiled in yet another conflict

Lunde · 31/03/2025 19:27

AtIusvue · 31/03/2025 16:44

So while Megs is inviting you to reminisce about Meg eating crepes in France, Harry’s world is falling apart.

What goes on in that bloody house? The whiplash experienced by staff going from room to room- from Harry staring at the wall, having an existential crisis in one room to Meg joyfully staring into the middle distance in another.

Edited

It's really strange behaviour - do they live in different wings? Or did Meghan record all of these videos months ago and gave them to an intern to upload one each day?

Lunde · 31/03/2025 19:37

Profhilodisaster · 31/03/2025 17:19

This charity was set up in memory of his mother, now obviously we don't know what has gone on behind the scenes but if Sentebale really meant so much to Harry, I don't understand why he hasn't stayed to fight for what he believes in.

He didn't visit any of its projects for 6 years either and has never taken Meghan there.

potsandmud · 31/03/2025 19:38

it amuses me greatly that the choice of words for her brand are so poor. I can’t think of a usage case where you wouldn’t say “as ever” without dripping sarcasm. As ever, the tone and plot is lost on her. Still a marginal improvement on American Riviera which sounds like a new Trump Tower in Gaza.

I'd love to hear the epic, no nonsense Auntie Anne's take on this shambles.

☝This....😂😂

It's so bad that I'm genuinely starting to think she's taking the piss.

MissRoseDurward · 31/03/2025 19:44

I’m not a fan of MM but all her complaints about the RF I always thought stemmed from the fact Harry was unhelpful.

Harry may well have been useless. He was probably so accustomed to everything, having grown up with it all, that he didn't know what she needed to know.

But she was offered help and advice. The Countess of Wessex, Lady Susan Hussey and (then) Major Nana Kofi Twumasi-Ankrah, the Queen's equerry, were all offered as mentors. She refused them all.

potsandmud · 31/03/2025 19:45

Johnny Hornby exited boys club and it will be interesting to see the cover up emerge. And as
such we might see the resigned trustees move from a place of support to one of self defence. I imagine they are all shitting themselves right now.

A Nigerian colleague mentioned that H&M need to beg for forgiveness from PP and QE2 as their blessings are being blocked from the beyond.

Two/three weeks earlier a visiting colleague of Thai heritage said that dishonoring the ancestors has resulted in issues for H&M which will persist until H&M correct themselves in front of their ancestors.

I thought it interesting that 2 different cultures from different continents shared the same concept connecting being in good standing with deceased relatives with blessings/good fortune for the living.

Thedom · 31/03/2025 08:40

The Vanity Fair bullying expose this year said Harry was Meghan's enabler when it came to her bullying staff and Harry doesn't understand why he has to work..

When you read what has happened to Sophie you can totally see its the same playbook, Meghan pulling Harrys' strings to do her bidding and Harry coasting it until he needs his mates to do his bidding.

what “work” does Harry do exactly? 🧐

Except that this latest situation is one that H precipitated. He could have not made an announcement or made it at a different point in time or in a different way. This one is not a matter of luck, it is entirely of their own making.

potsandmud · 31/03/2025 19:46

@Profhilodisastercan you imagine the discarded options on post it notes around Casa Sussex 20 foot kitchen island?

Oh sweet jesu. That's like the guff that fan clubs used to churn out to 12- and 13-year olds in the 1970s who all thought they were going to marry a Bay City Roller or become best friends with Marie Osmond.

Or Autumn - Meet David Essex . Although even I might have recoiled at that ( the wording - not meeting David Essex ) who was in the Lamplight days what my Granny , who has popped up a bit on this thread, called my heart-throb. Actually given my age I probably wouldn't mind meeting him now even without his curly haired earrings blue eyed prettiness 😊

I always thought Sophie Wessex drew the short straw in that she had to go through the whole Queen's funeral cortege in a carriage alone with Meghan. I bet she had her iphone set to record in her handbag so she could refute any subsequent claims that would be made about what she said or did, or implied or sighed.

She really took one for the team that day.

I also thought it was rather interesting to see Gyles Brandreth and Camilla Tominey on tv being quite supportive of Harry this morning.

ITV has a pro Sussex bias for some reason. I was actually quite shocked at Giles’ dismissive attitude and comments. It wasn’t ok. Maybe the guests are briefed to keep the conversation balanced. A bumbling CT was pointing out the bullying accusations are following the couple around but didn’t come across at all well. They didn’t discuss the facts and I am sure that I can’t have been the only viewer who wasn’t impressed by what was said.

Gyles Brandreth has always been very pro-Harry and firmly in the "poor little boy who lost his mummy" camp.

He also knew Diana and she famously wore one of his jumpers with the slogan "I'm a luxury - few can afford"

potsandmud · 31/03/2025 19:50

Oh the twats are out night in full force. Soz loves but your inane shite does not prevent public opinion. Or derailment. It just double underlines in wanker calligraphy style how far they’ll go to stop the chat.

I met David Essex. He is, unfortunately, very short but I have to say his eyes (many years ago at least) were the most mesmerising thing I’ve ever seen…
