@TheAutumnCrow

"He additionally argued in a written legal submission that he needs the high-end status and concomitant security to protect the morale of the British public lest they have to deal with anything befalling him."

No, he can't have said that.
It's about as wanky and arrogant as when the current chief parasite wanted us all to join in with some "charles is great" affirmation when he had his shiny hat put on

I can’t believe he really thinks he will receive IPP status and assume it’s because William has it .

I sometimes wonder how he’ll cope once William becomes king. Hopefully a while off yet but if he couldn’t deal with being the spare to William, I suspect his jealousy will be off the scale once William is king.

Well he did want to share The Duchy with William!

H's argument to date seems to revolve around his being a target for attacks simply by being the son of the King, thus absolving himself of any responsibility for his own words, writings and behaviour that contribute toward risk; all while H&M both seem to do what they want, when they want (e.g. last minute unexpected arrivals at high-profile events) for commercial purposes.

He additionally argued in a written legal submission that he needs the high-end status and concomitant security to protect the morale of the British public lest they have to deal with anything befalling him. He's all heart.

Meanwhile Mr O-1/Einstein Visa plays polo, waterskis, shoots, arms his private bodyguards, takes drugs, drinks and engages in other risky behaviours. And I still wouldn't be surprised to find out that the King is subbing his current security costs anyway out of misplaced guilt and one-sided unconditional love.

Anne and Edward were DC of a Monarch but didn’t gave IPP status . Don’t know about Andrew but doubt it.,

They almost seem to negate each other with their timetabling.

glitterturd · 08/04/2025 10:21

He has to come here to get a great British breakfast to make up for his childhood!

It would be very difficult for Charles to do/say much with Harry’s given Harry’s ongoing court case. Charles has to be very careful not to get caught up in it.

I meant Neghan and Harry

Yes it’s strange how that seems to happen:

Somehow I suspect he's being served avocado toast or yogurt at home

Surely he has cutted up fruit rainbows and packet mix pancakes?

vera99 · 09/04/2025 16:48

Living rent free in so many heads.

Well I don’t think so. She feeds her kids stuff from the freezer and seems to favour packet mixes, so it doesn’t actually sound like she can cook.

BemusedAmerican · 09/04/2025 17:02

They probably order in. Avocado toast is everywhere these days. The coffee is probably delivered, too.

Skimpyy · 09/04/2025 17:24

Scheming to take down a hard grafting, accomplished, black female, who has decades of demonstable integrity and capability in Sr leadership roles within sucessful global corporations - by coralling his chums to smear her in racist and misogynistic slurs because she called out his racist and misogynistic behaviour.

Couldnt make it up.

And tater tots. You certainly don't get a decent sausage in the USA 🤭

Living rent free in so many heads.

This is such an overused cliché.
It means nothing other than someone has thought about someone, evidence being, on this occasion, they've posted here.
Does that mean he's living rent free in your head?
I caught up on watching The Apprentice earlier; took a lot more time than reading a few posts here.
Is Alan Sugar "living rent free" in my head?
It may have sounded clever once but it's just a reflex post now.

Ah yes, the “overused cliché” cliche – the last refuge of arguments that didn’t quite land. Still, not a single thread on the King’s apparently triumphant visit to Italy. Bella ciao indeed.

Nonsense.
I'm just saying it's a phrase that's trotted out in the same way as "Shoulda gone to Specsavers".
It doesn't mean anything.
Nor does your post, imo.
I wasn't having an "argument", merely pointing out a meaningless phrase.
If you want to talk about the King and Queen's visit to Italy start a thread yourself.
I'm not interested in discussing it with you.

Funny isn’t it, lives in the US where there almost as many guns as people (probably) , goes to Columbia and Nigeria, both countries notorious for gun toting criminals, kidnapping and violence, now pays a trip to a war zone, but doesn’t think he is safe staying in the UK where he “could” be accommodated in the most secure and private households in the country for free and where he would certainly be given armed protection and police escorts at no cost to himself during his stay. Hmm, almost as though he is trying to make a point about something not actually related to his security.

It seems at times as though he’s courting dangerous situations and scenarios so if something happens he can be seen to be the wronged party. ‘Look what happened because Pa wouldn’t protect me’. That’s how he sees it. It’s almost as though he wants to end up in a tragic situation like Diana so history will repeat itself. I wonder if there is a deep anger that Charles didn’t protect Diana as he sees it, so he is compulsively trying to replay the past and this time make his father see the error of his ways. Of course Diana’s death was no way related to Charles. She chose to get into a dodgy relationship, she turned down official protection. She didn’t wear a seatbelt . Harry is so blinkered and obsessed he can’t see the wood for the trees.
